Help - Donation Question
Submitted by panama on Sun, 02/10/2008 - 20:19I've donated a few hundred bucks in the last few months, like many of you out there. Is there any paperwork that I need to fill out, or is this automatic? I'm worried I'll get in trouble for having forgotten to do so.
Thanks in advance for your responses!

What kind of paperwork?
I just donate and keep track of the amount so as not to go over $2,300, since that is the limit for an individual for the primaries.
As far as the website donations, no, they don't require anything.
Well...
I think what may have triggered my thinking there was paperwork to do was the following from the contributions form:
"Federal law requires we report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer for contributions of more than $200.00 per election cycle."
I thought maybe I had to do something myself...
Nah
You don't :).
Sweet
Thanks for clearing that up! I was asking as much for myself as for anyone else that might have needed to know. :)
What happens if you go over the limit?
Campaign police throw you in jail? lol

O_o
I don't see much of a risk of that happening to me. I've donated quite a bit, but unfortunately I don't have enough money to max out anyway. ^_^
No paperwork necessary

Just making sure this shows up so someone sees it and can reply.
