My Apologies to all the Republican Ron Paul Faithful
I was always one who believed RP should run republican as long as it seemed viable and then go Third Party. I would like to apologize for that. I have always felt strongly that RP knew what he was doing, and always have/always will show my support. It makes it that much easier hearing the news out of Alaska, Michigan, Maine, and Washington.
I always thought I knew more about the our government than the average Joe, but boy have I learned during this campaign. I now truly know that we have a chance. Most Americans are too lazy and ignorant to go to their respective conventions...that gives us a great opportunity. I truly believe we have a chance to win this thing straight up as a Republican Nominee.
Again, to those who were faithful about RP staying a republican, I apologize for my lack of information and disbelief.

We are all learning many different things throughout this campaign. I love how much some of us have learned and are learning. But when you recognize you have made a mistake and can admit here of all places you deserve massive kudos.

The "good news" out of alaska is one local event, not the state party. In Washington who knows what happened, but we can be sure that it won't be covered in the news.

And if you were paying attention, Alaska wasn't ONE local event...and in Washington, we know for a fact that we won the majority of the delegates...it's not even a question...we have some of the McCain delegates...a good portion of the Romney delegates...and most the "Uncommitted" delegates.

disappointed once again, and then you will have to apologize to those of us who advocated a third party run, because come one late summer night in September of this year, the Republican Party will nominate John "100 Years in Iraq" McCain, and whats worse is he will probably be forced to nominate preacher-in-chief The Huckster himself, Mike Huckabee as his V.P.
My only hope is that when that happens you do not just give up entirely, that you realize this is not a fight to save the Republican Party but a fight to save the country, and you join one of the parties that has consistently stood on principle, regardless of whether or not it meant they were going to lose an election. Namely, the Constitution or Libertarian Parties.
Continue in your unstoppable optimism that the GOP can be saved, but promise me that you will come join us in the Libertarian Party this fall when you will surely be disappointed, okay?

Let us continue the fight on two
fronts. First, maintain the current gop presidential/congressional nomination strategy. Second, getting Ron Paul nominated to as many 3rd parties as possible. This way nobody quits. Nobody gives up. Besides, we can stay positive by encouraging one another. To November and beyond infinity!

well, to be honest with you,
I have no problem accepting RP and his decision not to run 3rd party. The decision in that regard was his and his alone. I cant say that, if I was his son, I would advise him to do anything different. If my dad was 72 like RP is, I might tell him to just take it easy and enjoy his twilight years.
My main point is to say that if you want the Republican Party to change, then do not vote for them. Politicians are always working to get the votes they did NOT get. The quickest, easiest way to change the GOP is to vote Libertarian/Constitutional Party. Then make the GOP work for your vote.

Hell, I voted for Alan Keyes in the 2000 Primary...and then Pat "I used to be a Constitutionalist, but now I do whatever to keep my job" Buchanan in the generals. Trust-You-Me, I will fight on...and this time I won't take my 8-year break from politics. The Constitution will prevail. It must.
By the way, I was a registered Constitution Party voter in Idaho this year...and still am...just haven't changed it because it doesn't matter in Idaho...I just have to be registered to vote, then I can vote for whomever I want...which will OBVIOUSLY be RON PAUL!
As far as the LP, my beef there is the religion issue. If you read the documents the Founders wrote, it is 100% certain that the VAST majority were Christians. Do I believe that gives us a right to dictate that we try and force Christianity on every? HELL NO. I also don't like the immigration stance of the LP...however, I do understand that their economic policies would ultimately fix the immigration problem (the LP platform and RP's platform are identical in that regard). I was a registered LP member for 1 year...Niel Boortz turned me on to it...but now Niel Bore-me-to-tears is backing HUCKABEE??? What a poser. I won't hold that against you.
What I promise to you is that I will always research ALL the candidates and vote for whom the Constitution and my heart believes in...whether that be a Constitutionalist, a Libertarian, Republican, or a Democrat...or even some other party...like a Ron Paul Republican!!!
Don't lose faith in your own state...you still have your conventions to go!

Although I dont know how much of a Libertarian Neil Boortz is a lot of people like to call themselves Libertarians because it gives them an air of independence, but they really are not Libertarians. And anyone who is voting for Mike Huckabee could not be a libertarian.
Remember one other thing: If you want the Republican Party to change, the last thing you want to do is vote for them. Make them chase your vote forever by voting Constitution or Libertarian. All politicians are forever trying to get the votes they did not get before. Once you give them your vote, they dont need you anymore!

Repubs are right, when they follow the repub platform, have total faith in that. i persoanlly diagree with abortion and some other minor things, but the platform is correct when its followed.
