Mitt Romney as a running mate?
Think about it.
Every republican is looking for a conservative candidate, and RP gets no attention, while being the most conservative - some sheeple don't even know he's in the race! While they obviously disagree on most issues, they could run as the conservative choice - and Mitt will be able to set up his next run for presidency in a few years.
I say he leverages Romney's popularity and monetary backing to get votes, while he continues forward spreading his conservative message.
I mean, how does the media ignore both Paul and Romney!?!?
Now is the perfect time to declare a running mate. He needs somebody well known, with more support than say - a Kucinich. This needs to happen before McCain announces the Terminator as his running mate - for this will consume all media attention.

Well, a
candidate must first WIN the nomination before he can announce any running mate! One can state possibilities perhaps..it would not help much at the moment in any case, only with brokered convention. It is a possibility to have Romney as VP or give him a cabinet position in Paul lead administration.Of course there the big difference with iraq, but since he has changed his position on other issues, he can do it with this also..:-) Wait till situation changes in Iraq in next few months, so that he (Romney) has an excuse to change his position.

Romney thinks Ron Paul is a joke. I don't think we should even consider something who can't respect Dr. Paul, and Romney has shown him none at all. He constantly laughs at him and attacks him. No way.

I think Both men are in on it.
I think Huckabee could be our biggest ally. Huck has already announced that he is not going to accept any VP position and he does not want anything to do with Mccain. I Think Romney and Huckabee are going to both throw their support to Ron Paul. Remeber Ron Paul is about talking with your enemies and working things out. You can have differences and Ron has already stated that he would accept those who change their views on the issues. If Romney and Huckabee re-evaluate there stance for a common cause to destroy Mccain. They can get Ron Paul elected. Romney is still in this to the convention. If we can win Texas right we could have over 250 delegates when we goto the convention. Thats with all the other's uncommitted in our name. Romney and Huckabee can see Ron Paul as the only way for the Republican Party to keep Mccain from taking the White House. The Republican Party Hates Mccain. They will do anything to kick him out.

...But he can only wish that he was half the man Ron Paul is. I know Mitt is jealous of Ron Paul's successes, his fervent following, and his ability to inspire people to greatness.
The only thing Mitt believes in is his own ego. But a little part of him wishes he could be like Ron.
Mitt is a very small, mean man. His utter contempt for Ron Paul, as shown during debates and interviews, is indicative of his need for something RP has that he doesn't.

Not only is it not going to happen, but how do you combine the candidate's antiwar/war positions. Granted Romney's a flip flopper, but still given his reason for leaving the race, he could not possible do it and keep any credibility.
And really there's not much point of securing the GOP nomination if you're going to be slaughtered in the general election, which is what would happen if you put Mitt on the ticket at this point. Of course McCain is the current lamb being offered up, which makes the most sense.
