Below is an email I was just forwarded by someone who attended this service here in Central VA. It really is kind of sad......

Hello,
I just had to e-mail you about Mike Huckabee. I just got home a little while ago from hearing Mike Huckabee at one of our local churches. He wasn't there campaigning, but he brought a message from Phillipians 2:1-10. He did an awsome job. He didn't talk above you. His message was clear. He spoke of showing humility and about being prideful. He has a great sense of humor. I truly enjoyed listening to him.
I hope you will vote Tuesday for a rightous candidate. Our country really needs to change.
Love,
Judy

One of my favorite texts

I will bet he preached a great sermon but does that mean he actually lives it? By their fruits ye shall know them. He does have that going for him, he is a very good and amusing speaker; nothing more.

Healthnuttie for Ron Paul

The lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment...Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are His delight. Prov 12:19,22

Thou shalt not use Gods name in vain

From the book of Mathew in the Bible

5 And when you make your prayers, be not like the false-hearted men, who take pleasure in getting up and saying their prayers in the Synagogues and at the street turnings so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward. 6 But when you make your prayer, go into your private room, and, shutting the door, say a prayer to your Father in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will give you your reward.

7 And in your prayer do not make use of the same words again and again, as the Gentiles do: for they have the idea that God will give attention to them because of the number of their words. 8 So be not like them; because your Father has knowledge of your needs even before you make your requests to him.

Mike Huckabee is a panderer. He uses God to get votes. He makes fake phone calls to God to let everyone know that he is a Christian. He preaches in Churches and that's campaigning, cuz everyone knows who he is and what he is running for.

Truly I say to you, Mike Huckabee will answer to God for peddling his name for his own gain. Ron Paul on the other hand is a true Christian and his reward in Heaven will be great.

unreasonableman

I "Replied to all"

for several emails this individual has sent in the past with Ron Paul information. I responded with this: (I almost just let it fly and got really rude, but I used restraint)

With all due respect, I voted for what I thought to be a righteous candidate in 2000 and
2004. How would Voting for Mike Huckabee represent change? How would he make a
difference? I am sure Mr. Huckabee is a great preacher and I know he has a good sense of
humor. Should we use these characteristics as a standard of measurement when electing
someone to public office? Mr. Huckabee just happened to stop by a local Church in
Virginia to do a little preaching to the voting public in a State which happens to have
its primary the day after tomorrow but he wasn't campaigning?

Please take the time to read about Mike Huckabee's history as it relates to his record as
Governor of Arkansas. Please also think about all of the emails you have sent out with
regard to illegal immigration. (I always enjoy your emails and find them both
interesting and informative)I can guarantee you one thing, our illegal immigration
problems will not change with Mike Huckabee in office.

I agree with you that our country really needs to change. Our country needs to revive
the Constitution.

Phillipians 2:1-10.

Phillipians 2:1-10.

He does speak well, and he

He does speak well, and he is funny. But he is not righteous, he is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Tell her to dig deeper, to see the real man inside.

Also; I heard Hitler was a great speaker too, very exciting to watch.

Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

It's sad alright

This is how he schmoozes with them and gets them to think how nice he is. Send her links to RP pages and videos.

What is sad about it?

?

Whats Not Sad About It

Sacramento_Jeff? Tell me what you think isn't sad about not voting for Ron Paul?

It is Sad

because their are people out there that base their vote on somebodies competence behind the pulpit or their sense of humor. Why can't Americans see through this? Why has this lady made a decision based on a sermon she just heard? She is right on the money with regard to our country needing to change, but why doesn't she realize that it is this type of voting behavior/decision making that got us to such a fragile state in our history? She seee's someone telling her that he is a servant of God and she decides
that he needs to be our next president? I can guarantee you that she hasn't researched his record as a public servant. This is someone who is constantly sending forwards around about the horrors of illegal immigration. I just find it sad.

misguided, not sad imo

The lady in question has heard the candidate speak in person, and chosen based on that. I think she has done FAR more than most Americans will before casting their ballot. At least she isn't voting because the media tells her he's the "frontrunner."

Wouldn't you want a president who is humble, and realizes his position is really that of a servant? The lady just doesn't know how disingenuous Huck is, that's he a politician like (almost) every other.

Yes

But isn't it sad that she will not take the discovery process a step further than the pew from where she made up her mind? Isn't it sad that many Americans assign so much credibility to someone because he can give a good sermon? He wasn't campaigning?

He was, of course

and perhaps she was aware of that. Possibly she has done research on the man, just not anywhere but sites that support him.
Actually, public speaking should be one of the main roles of the president (as opposed to 'running the country') maybe a good sermon giving isn't the worst criteria to use?
It's not like she said "vote for this guy 'cause my pastor said to"

I heard him speak in person

I heard him speak in person and I thought he was awesome, powerful, funny and a really great guy.Well, if someone on here does not still know what I think of him now, they must be new. He is one of the WORST liars, a thief and has NO desire to serve, just be served. His "rewards" will not be in Heaven, I can assure you.

AMEN!!

AMEN!!
