How do you feel tonight?
I never want to feel that way again. The way I felt when I thought Ron Paul dropped out.
I remember the feeling I had when I donated to Ron Paul for the very first time, when I wrote hundreds of letters to Iowa, when I attended my first meetup meeting, when I went sign waving with my children, ringing that first doorbell canvassing, staying up all night finding places for our signs, rolling Ron Paul newspapers and delivering all over my district, and the pride I felt when my son went to Iowa, and specially how it felt to finally vote for Dr. Paul.
Each time, I got the same feeling of pride I felt years earlier when serving overseas and saluting the flag during the playing of "to the colors" - I am an American and I love my country and what I am doing was important and mattered.
I refuse to listen to naysayers - I will do everything in my control to help Dr. Paul get elected, this is only the beginning of something bigger.
America is the greatest country on this planet and I refuse to believe that it will go down in flames - there's too many patriots, old and young, that will not let this happen. This rEVOLution is about us - I say lead, follow, or get out of the way.

I feel like thanks to the Ron Paul Revolution that hundreds of thousands of more people have learned to mistrust the lame stream media than ever before.
The way to learn to mistrust the media is to be involved in a news story and then see how it is reported, or mis reported, or distorted, or squashed.

After reading that letter I can't tell you how low I felt .... But today I am pumped!! I will be there for the March in DC, I'm coming from California.
No pedicures or manicures, lunches out ... I will save in every way I can and will put it aside to be there. Would not miss it!

Feelings...Nothing More Than...Feelings...
I'd like to propose that this revolution has nothing to do with how we feel.
Feelings can change. As many of us have experienced, one can feel "up" and enthusiastic one minute, then crushed into the depths of despair the next minute, only to be followed by a buoyant rising of excitement the very next minute. Ah, the roller coaster of emotion!
Feelings are fickle. Devotion and dedication are not.
If your core beliefs change -- if you've decided, after long and careful consideration, that liberty really isn't important to you or your posterity -- then fine; change your actions commensurately.
However, allowing capricious feelings to dictate your core beliefs is a fool's game, and is the opposite of what critical thinking dictates. So if your core beliefs remain intact, then all the onslaught of discouragement doesn't matter one iota. There is a bountiful supply of ammunition to keep us "feeling" bad. Our feelings, however, have no impact whatsoever on the reality of truth. The inherent value of liberty doesn't change based upon how we're feeling that day.
So I could offer up here how I'm feeling. But it really doesn't matter. What does matter is: what am I doing to support and further my core beliefs?

I'd like to think that with the GOP nomination strategy all but out the window, the good doctor is playing it smart until he wins his congressional primary. I know everyone tires of third party talk, but I'd certainly think he won't even entertain the idea until after he's kept the neo-cons away from his spot in Congress. Talking of a third party run now would likely be a great blow to trying to win a Republican primary in Texas.
Has he really ruled out a third party run? Only he and his family know. So until then, we should follow whatever advice he offers. I trust him in the end, after all, as he knows this movement is bigger than him now, and the fight for liberty must continue.
So how do I feel right now? A little impatient, but not too discouraged. I've grown up around a solid core of Republicans throughout much of my life (i.e. my family, close friends, and whatnot), and let me tell you... nobody is happy with the prospect of McCain or Huckabee.... nevertheless one of the Dems. So I know we have a lot of work to go, I just feel a little impatient at not knowing the ultimate strategy.

Why waiting for the texas local primary is stupid
Because if he loses, then all hope of him even winning the presidential as a third party will evaporate, as will any hopes of winning a brokered convention.
The media will make a laughing stock of him. They will say "look at him, he can't even win his own seat back".
If he drops out of the congressional race to run on a 3rd party, it will be a sign of strength; if he wants, shift the district race to 3rd party, too.
Your donations are better spent on the other two republicans running for a Paulist platform in other states -- if Paul gets elected president he has to relinquish his congressional seat ANYWAY. Fighting to Keep Paul's seat in the house is a statement of DEFEAT.

There's no shame in retaining your seat, and I have full confidence that he will do just that. I was merely saying that the TIMING of the issue was the key, as announcing a third party run before his Republican congressional primary would be foolish. He may wind up losing votes from local Republicans due to disgruntlement should he do that, which may in turn cost him the primary, which he is running in (as per his *official* statements).

How I feel....
I feel like I am a huge supporter of an amazing, underdog, cinderella baseball team that had has an incredible season and early playoff sucess. It is now in the World Series.
Our ace pitcher was on the mound for Game One which we won. Us and the the team we are playing against have split the rest of the games, such that we are tied at three games apiece going into Game Seven.
To spell out the analogy:
The World Series is the attempt to save this country.
The Ace pitcher (as if you needed it spelled out) is Ron Paul, whom is scheduled to pitch in the final contest.
Now, Game Seven is going to require every bit of effort, sacrifice, and willpower in order for our underdog team to win.
The only reasonable path left for our cause is developed that requires we get Ron to run as a Third Party candidate. This allows us to continue the revolution for several months in order to give us supporters time and hope to educate other Americans about our cause and the philosophy of Liberty. Eventually we hope to save our country for ALL of us, not just one party.
So, on the eve of the biggest game of our lives, our ace pitcher, the man carrying the hopes of millions and the future of a country......

I never did see how some people thought he was dropping out; he was always clear about running for his congressional seat as well. Some people on here were downright nasty.
Pulling his people out of states that had already had their respective caucus or primary was fiscally responsible. I still think we can get a brokered convention. I'm a precinct delegate; have to go to county, then district, then state. Even if I don't make it past county, I will help ensure as many Paul supporting delegates do go on. To all in states who haven't voted, strive to become a delegate! We need to get as many to National as possible.
