Stealth/Shadow Delegates
The time is NOW for everyone in the Paul camp to infiltrate McCain and Huckabee's campaign and become "their" delegates. I know stealth/shadow RP delegates already exist in number but we must become every open available delegate position in every state left in the primary season. How long will we put up with being ignored, shit on, and what not by this corrupt machine? Some will say this is not the right thing to do, and I say you're half way correct. The other, which is the half that can bring a brokered convention and swing for RP will be using the stealth/shadow delegate maneuver. We must outflank the opponents of Liberty. So be a delegate for McPain and Huckabee if you are in a state yet to vote. Forget being a delegate for RP. As long as we do this and he stays in until the convention, the GOP will be in a for big BIG surprise.

How about this for a new strategy?
Lew Rockwell estimates that RP will have 175 delegates at the convention. If the campaign has spent $28 million to get those, that comes out to a cost of $160,000 per delegate. Then they have to pay their own way to the convention.
What if HQ hired 500 campaign workers for one month, to put in the neccessary time to become a delegate. If they paid these 500 campaign workers $2,000 each, that wouldn't cost but $1,000,000.
$2,000 per delegate is a whole lot better than $160,000.

As far as I can tell the number of delegates is estimated by everyone at this point.

People are paid as campaign workers then
if there is a conflict after they become delegates, because of state law, they go to volunteer status.

I agree whole heartedly. We must become national Delegates at the Republican National Convention. I do not care who you have to support to get there. Once you are there, if you are an unbound Delegate, you than cast your vote for Dr. Paul. If you are a bound Delegate, as we are here in Florida, you than vote for Dr. Paul on the second, third, etc. ballot and this of course with the hopes of a brokered convention.

Most Paul supporters like myself are new to political involvement. The likelihood of Paul supporters infiltrating and shadow delegating etc... is next to zero percent.
We can't win scamming the system. We can win getting a congressional majority in the house who are Paul-minded. We may lose this election but the movement is in motion and will roll on like a snowball getting larger as it goes. Then we can see the day the Clinton and Bush clan and all neocons get their asses kicked out for good!
My wife and I are Paul delegates. Get in there and do it.

The scenario described is 'the only way it can' happen, but I don’t see anything “underhanded” about it. No one is talking about breaking the law (where it binds delegates to a candidate for the first round or two in some states), or even violating the party’s own rules.
And, in true activist form, the Paul supporters have a plan! And have planned this for over a year. After all, what if McCain and Romney delegates don’t vote for McCain at the Convention? What if, as commenter Kevin Houston points out, they’re really Ron Paul supporters who infiltrated the delegate pool in order to vote for their own man?
I mean, the people filling McCain’s delegate slots are planned true-blue Paulunteers who simply *said* they would be happy to support McCain (or Thompson, or Romney, or whoever) Especially in LA, where McCain had trouble filling delegate slots at the end as others did in hundreds of districts. But DON'T be STUPID and become a rivals delegate until every last RON PAUL Delegates slot if full.
If no one wins a majority on the first ballot, most of the delegates become free to vote their conscience, some are still not but if Ron Paul hopes to save the republic, this is a smart strategy. I can only imagine how bad it will feel to have to vote for McCain once, never mind twice, but I recognize your skill...
So let’s explore this one for a moment. We are gaurenteed a brokered convention. After 3 votes, let’s then say that all hell breaks loose and there’s enough Ron Paul supporters who infiltrated the delegate pools that Ron Paul wins the nomination....

Dan McCarthy has advised asgainst this, says Ron Paul needs every vote. It is not necessary such an easy issue. Well, if you do want to be a RP stealth delegate, ONLY in winner take all state and ONLY for Huckabee, NEVER for McCain! (you may just help him to get over the edge to have enough delegates before the RNC to get the nomination). Vote Ron Paul is EVERY non-winner take all state in any case/by all means. Every vote counts! The higher our percentage in one primary, the more momentum it can build up for a better performance in the next primary, even if we do not win the primary. A brokered convention is still possible..
I say we take Abraham Lincoln's lead....
