Thought consolidation
1. "Ronapalooza: Ron Paul Rocks The Mall. Bands there for the rally. Maybe call it Ronstock?
2. Multiple locations could be good: One west, one east, one mountains, one central, one south. San Francisco or LA for west, DC east, Denver mountains, Chicago or St. Louis central, South in Altanta? But it mutliples the logistics issues and can dilute numbers.
3. Convoy to locations is a great idea visually, but it has to have *very* good coordination, and that means a lot of motel rooms and such planned ahead. Easier on a regional scale, but still complicated. This is why holiday weekends suck to do this: everyone else in the freaking universe will be travelling as well. OTOH, a convoy rally a week before at each state gathering site and then everyone travels at their own pace might be better since not everyone can cover the same distance to get there each day.
4. Site planning and permits? Security and logistics? Who contracts the porta-Johns and concessions, etc.? (Makes you really appreicate just how amazing and spontaneous Woodstock really was!)
5. If in DC, Congress has to be in session and Shrub has to be in town so they get the freaking message. Gatherings in Lafayette Park and a march to the RNC HQ and the Fed and IRS might be ideas as well.
6. Blimp? Planes? Advertising outside of the vehicles?
OK, that's a start. Blast away!
