It needs
to happen in the summer. College and grade school will both be out and thus we will have the optimal amount of people. It has to be in the summer. July 4th would be awesome, though I imagine the necessity BS red tape permits etc will be denied. We could do it July 2nd which is technical the day the resolution was passed. This trivia would have to be spread around obviously.

Maybe we should take advantage of this time to actually start some talks about future plans for the movement. So, march, music, speeches, caravans, Ron Paul speech and meetings or signups.

someone mentioned it first on ronpaul2008.com dailydose and it sounded good to me. Just make sure its not in August...whew! Plus, more people plan and take their vacations in the summer months. Additionally, isn't April 19th the day that McVeigh allegedly blew up the building in OKC? I'm afraid the media would spin it to that..

WHO is Deciding on the Date?
How about waiting until AFTER a lot of people get the Rebate check our grand government is sending us? I know I for one could get there if I have the funds, that's a BIG deciding factor for me!
And in a month or two, it will be too early and TOTALLY FORGOTTEN before the Convention, as posted already.
If you want EVERYONE who can POSSIBLY go, it would be MUCH better to schedule it when the kids are on summer vacation and a lot of families can travel, and you'll have A LOT MORE BODIES!
Wouldn't a scene like in the Forrest Gump movie when he's at the Washington Monument, with the HUGE CROWD! That could be Ron Paul Supporters, flooding Washington DC! AWESOME!
Please plan it closer to the Convention, gives more people time to plan, budget and prepare, arrange for time off, etc. Also, we could plan a bus cavavan from each meetup group across the country, that could cut down on individual costs somewhat, but lodging could be a problem for some.
I'm going to start to look at State Parks and campgrounds.
