April 13-15 not the most practical!!! Memorial Day all the way!
April is too soon! The point is that we will need to have maximum impact - Dr. Paul even said that it was a huge gamble that needed to be pulled off effectively to have an impact!
April 15th may be practical for college students but those of us who have kids in school or work with set vacation dates could not attend! I think we need to make this convenient for as many people as possible to attend...not to mention the logistics for organizing such a large event!
I mean - if you want to have people like John Mayer, Arlo Guthie, Stevie Ray Vaugne, Willie Nelson, etc. to arrange schedules to play there - we will need a bit more tome to organize that effectively!
We need to use our heads here and plan this well instead of just going of on emotion for a date that has significance but is unpractical!

Memorial Day is Rolling Thunder's day and has been for years. June 21st sounds good to me. It is long enough to provide time for significant planning, chartering buses, etc.

Constitution Day makes the most sense by a mile and we would still have time to plan a great even...where Our Message...We The People's March...will resonate on it's own!

I suggest that memorial day weekend is the best.
Rolling thunder is that weekend and they are all about freedom and government lies (pow-mia how do you like that McCain?) and supporting our veterans. They will help us by showing their support. We can get them to buy in now, as they will be there that weekend anyway. Many of these Patriots have already planned to be there.

I agree, April is quite soon - but, 2 months really isn't that bad. In fact, it will give us something to focus on. Although I like July 4th, all the primaries will be over.

I don't know, it could work against us. Since there are already memorial day celebrations in DC every year, the event could be seen as just another one and not for Ron Paul specifically.
Plus getting a permit when they are probably already reserved for parades and fireworks would limit our places to gather.

+Traditional summer kick-off weekend, non-tradional (anti-neo-esablishment) Summer of Paul and/or Liberty kick-off
+THE candidate of the troops, follow the money
+Holiday for most folks
+Paul asked for 3-4 months out, Memorial Day 3.5 months out
+Think BIG. Shutdown DC for the whole weekend (or even week leading uo to it) show America some gridlock
+Think huge, PEACEFUL gathering full of love and diverisity of support.
Seriously-we need to look for help from the Rainbow Family for large crowd accomadations. Think I'm 'nuts'? They are THE group who did the most relief work after hurricane Katrina.
