When it comes to something like this we need leadership. Asking for a march on Washington in a magnitude never before seen is impossible without direction. You can't leave something like that up to someone from the community. It needs strong logistical guidance from either the campaign or someone to speak on behalf of the campaign as an organizer. Asking us to organize it ourselves within 3-4 months can happen but it's completely inefficient.
1) Need a website with poll ability so we can vote on a specific date. Give a good amount of significant and non-significant dates to choose from.

Excellent ideas. But do not forget that the dates we vote on, if that's how it goes down, MUST be pre-approved by Dr. Paul. We would kind of like for him to be able to make it to the show, right? He should also make the critical decision between weekend and weekday. A lot of people seem to be going for a weekend because it's more convenient. Should convenience even be a consideration?
What effect is this march to have? The politicians must be in town to see it. Okay, I've strayed from the point, because I have strong feelings about going on a weekday when congress is in session. But so what? I cannot impose my will.

We want numbers, the most we can draw. The easier we make it for people to work into thier lives, the better the turnout.

But even more than that like the e mail stir IMO it's a well intentioned flub on the part of RP to throw this out to all the junior rebels with their websites to somehow self coalesce and interpret - it's a major undertaking to organize an event of any magnitude like we all envision, this isn't an enter your credit card on a certain day or a neighborhood canvass job. To think otherwise is simply naive and reckless.

I personally think the campaign has to drive the wagon on this - but If the official campaign washes its hands of organization only the proven grassroots leaders such as this site or similar should even have the nad to be making proposals within the community...I know it smacks of central government but anarchy is worse in this case - we have to be honest about the reality of the logistics involved and there's no time for amateur hour.
Again just my 2 cents but I cringe just looking at all the sites that popped up since 11pm and garbage like this 'official' date 4 hours after the video update.

I dont think anyone is gunna agree on a date...Thats why i think Ron should give us a time. I just Forsee a Sh@tload of "official" date sites showing up and nobody agreeing to anything. It lessons the effect. We need an organized campaign approved day.

We don't really know why he asked for it within 3-4 months because that excludes July 4th.
I agree with other sentiments that July 4th would be bad. I'm going back on what I've said earlier too. The media would just spin the crap out of July 4th for a "patriotic march" or something like that.
We need a date with no relevant significance therefore I'm also against Memorial Day. We need to make our own significant date! Something that the media can't spin off.

Memorial Day weekend would not be the best - we don't need any competition - competition for people's time away from family events, or competition for media exposure.
I vote weekend of June 21st - school is out, & it's the day the US Constitution was ratified.

S.O.S., the Army messhall term, that is. Let's consider Flag Day, Saturday, June 14th, not in conflict with other rallies, nor NASCAR events (Sunday), temperature would not be a factor, and offers a recovery day to return home and rest before starting a new week. Also, we can carry and wave our official civil flags @ uscivilflags.org. These civilian authority flags represent we the people better than the traditional military flags that are commonplace.

But I believe Bush declared "Mission Accomplished" on this day, and that idiot British lapdog poodle Blair became Prime Minister on May 1st, 1997. There's all the communist/socialist connotations too. To overcome all that, we'd have to have a massive march - 1 million people plus.

But it sure is stirring up controversy and getting everyone's minds off the "we have already lost" syndrome. Now the talk will be and will focus upon "is May 1st the Official day" and all related to "Marching on Washington,D.C." and THUS the "LOSING" frame of mind has SUDDENLY disappeared!
