Just in case anybody with a checkbook would care to add further sparks to the Ron Paul Hindenburg: well, don't. I just browsed the website of Ron's lead opponent for the Republican nomination in the 14th Texas congressional district, a gentleman named Chris Peden, and he is a wingnut of the non-amusing type. It does not seem that any Democrats have filed to run in the district this year. As far as I can tell, sending the Ron Paul Revolution back to Warshinton for two more years may well be the safest outcome for the planet at large.

To pull the "flag it as offensive!! I'm soo offended that even exists" thing is really really bad for marketing, IMHO. Makes us look like a bunch of babies.

Never mind how serious we think this campaign is. And I do think it's serious... I don't think coming off as a bunch of Cassandras who are preaching imminent doom tomorrow is the best way to win people over on what basically is a long-term freedom movement.

"Vote Ron Paul or you will be enslaved TOMORROW!" just isn't a sales pitch that seems to have worked... regardless of how much the salesman believes it himself.

I.e. lighten up. Or if you are too paranoid that you can't lighten up, at least give the impression that you can. A desperate salesman is a dead salesman.

It seems that you're a freedom lover if its your freedom. But other people's freedoms are a different thing.
