TOO MANY COOKS!!!So far I see three different marches going.....which is the RIGHT march?
If we have 3 different marches going. And people doing nothing more than spouting out which date would be the best...we get nowhere.
The reason Trevor Lyman was so successful in raising the money for his first money bomb was because he was the only cook in the kitchen and everyone followed him into V for Victory....
We have 3 different March websites that I found and was emailed in one day. I'm glad everyone wants glory for doing it....but the point it, you just KNOW that the Ron Paul organization is not going to be the ones to actually do the march. IT has to be a grassroots thing or it won't make sense....
but if the grassroots are going to do this we have to all come together like we did with Nov 5th.
Read the links to the two major march websites and then read the article from the guy who decided on his own to buy chip-ins etc.

I'll take the cool spring weather over the baking sun in June or July.
Summer is NOT good, Washington D.C. is a human oven and it is humid as hell.
Anything in the summer will be TOO LATE. The last primary is June 3rd.
April 19th is a Saturday and many people can leave after work Friday night. After the march, people will have plenty of time to get back to work by Monday.

I like the April 19th date that zooamerica came up with. It has all the right history behind it. Also, the 3 locations sound good too, D.C., Las Vegas and Chicago.

You know those of us who live in the SW or W have a hard time getting to D.C. It is an all day trip, however Las Vegas is very doable for me here in NM.

I think everyone needs to
I think everyone needs to quit planning their own marches. Just come up with ideas and let the campaign do the rest. We need to start getting our money's worth out of them anyway. But don't go and start your own march website.
If we don't stop this multiplanning madness, the march will end up just like the money bombs, federated and unimpressive.

I like that way of thinking..instead of Washington why don't a million of us decend on MSP during the convention. Show the "Republican" Party we're not going away. Coup d'etat the convention with our guy.

People debate the pro's and con's of these sort of things...as in the past...the most popular gains traction. Many people have very good pro/con arguments...gets people thinking.

West coast, Middle America and East Coast.
Las Vegas/ Chicago/Washington. This way everyone from all around the country can make it.
Vegas is the choice for west coast since it will exposed the message to people from all over the world (Tourist heaven), Chicago is the middle and the mother of all Marches will happen in D.C

In St. Paul is the proper venue, as we need as many people to volunteer to be delegates as possible, and some of our most fervent people will be there. I will be in St. Paul, not in DC.

I am completly confused. I went to the ronpaulmarch.com site and the revolutionmarch.com site, there are so many dates flying around it's crazy. One person states it's a go on April 15, another says not, its on Memorial weekend. Is there a definite set in stone date, no one seems to agree on any one date. Everyone else is discussing different dates and ideas. What the heck, are we all getting together or is it all being split up? Who's making the final decision on the date of the march? I looked on the official campaign website and didn't see anything.

There is not going to be a "perfect" date, so we'll deal with it.
If you can't make it to DC, start a march at your County Seats, at major cities, at state capitals!
We can get millions this way, over and above DC!

I think April 19th gives us the best shot to really make a difference in the election. I fear that anything after June 3rd - the final primary - will not matter. The primary/caucuses will be over after June 3rd.
April 19th is the original date of the American Revolution.
It is OUR DAY. It's also the anniversary date of when FDR forced America off the gold standard. How fitting.
April 19th is on a Saturday, more than 2 months away. This gives us plenty of time to organize. A Saturday also provides for enough time for people to travel...get out of work Friday, arrive in Washington on Saturday, leave Sunday and get home in time for work on Monday.
Memorial Day is not good because it is its own day...not ours. There will be other events going on that day to pay respect to our dead. It is on a Monday, many people do not get off for this holiday, and most people have to work on Tuesday.
If you want large numbers, a Saturday is ideal - and NOT over a holiday weekend. People have already planned family trips and vacations for Memorial Day. There are too many things going on that weekend, and I fear our message would get lost in the sauce.
That seems pretty good to me....
