I just heard on our local central PA radio station that Huckabee did not meet the deadline (today) and he will not be on the PA ballot for our Primary on April 22. Can someone confirm this????

Thanks, Angel, for the link to the PA Election candidates site. I called the talk radio show and gave them the correct information. After all, it was a good excuse to announce that Dr. Ron Paul was on the ballot.. . . . . . . . It is WHP 580 Radio in Harrisburg, PA with Bob Durgin. He has been very generous with my promoting Dr. Paul. He has a huge following in this area. I also was able to talk about our republic vs democracy and the definition of "conservative". It made for some lively banter.

Rumor has it that it was difficult geeting 2000 signatures statewide, but they managed it just in time....
Last count, we were able to get 8000+ for Dr Paul.

That would have been a serious snafu on the Huck campaign. Sorry to disappoint, guys, but he is confirmed. However, we Paul people are doing quite well with getting delegates on the ballot, especially in Philly (I'm an alternate, myself). This is the link to the most recent filings for PA:

Huck did not circualate petitions in PA. Only McCain, RP, Obama, and Hillary did.
Kind of makes you also think Romney, Thompson, and JulieAnnie were all previously planning to drop out because they made no attempt to get any kind of organization together to collect signatures either.
Rumor is that Huck is going to drop out after March 10 and pursue a Senate run.

I heard this rumor today, but it sounds pretty plausible to me. The filing date for the Arkansas Senate race is March 10th, and Huckabee seems virtually guaranteed of winning if he runs for the senate.
It makes sense, for the same reason that Ron Paul wants to maintain the Congressional seat that he already has.
What would you do in Huck's position? Does he have a reliable indication of a VP offer from a candidate who *will* become President (or even an offer from the likely GOP nominated candidate?)
