Why can't Ron Paul win just 1 state?

0 votes

We have given him so much money. Why not win even a very small state just to get media attention? This is sickening. What is the point in donating more if there is no progress? Don't want to sound like a troll but we are losing our moral everyday and just have to be realistic. His campaign staff sucks and at this rate and don't see anything out of it. Just look at donations lately, people have stopped donating until they see progress with their money.

I smell yet another troll meant to bring you down. The revolution is winning. Good will always win. Peace is on the horizon. But not without your effort. Pay no attention to the troll behind the propaganda!

Well, that's the way it is

The supporters of Ron Paul have, in every state election, displayed their presence. Not as many as we might like, but always there. Despite the efforts of the MSM and their corporate bosses, the message and its supporters have not been scattered -- frustrated, tactically defeated, but not scattered. We have a million dedicated people facing them. A "Revolution" does not occur overnight nor does it come easy -- but we know we have the truth, and that cannot be taken away from us -- even by the machinations of those who would surrender their own people for their own miserable and petty satisfactions. The fat-cat Scotch drinkers, the hired shills and their mob of incompetent tax-fed bureaucrats will be overcome. Once the budget finally breaks, and it will, our armed forces must come home. The cynical pay-offs intended to keep them in place has already begun with a "G.I. Bill" and ever more inflated cash for pay raises and toys for the Pentagon. But when this fiat money is finally exhausted of value, when the nation can no longer afford the loss of more blood and treasure in that miserable religious war in the mid-East, then the army will return from its foreign bases, and the foreign adventures will come to an end. If the American people do not understand the stakes involved in this election, then they will deserve what must come -- and it won't be "fun".

Why not

just change the stupid people who go out to vote?

I was out today at a polling place almost the whole day. I cannot count the number of times people said to me, "I like Paul, but he just doesn't have a chance."

So ... let's see ... only 3 people left in the race, but he still "doesn't have a chance." Why do they think that? Because they DON'T think. They let the mass media think for them. Give em a slogan, they'll repeat it until the sheep come home.

Animal farm: Four legs good, two legs bad!
Animal farm once the pigs had total control: Four legs good, two legs better!

Slogan thinking is what we are up against. AND ONE OTHER THING -- the news media telling everyone that there are only two choices left in the race. This is very powerful, and we need to come to grips with the fact that we NEED OUR OWN MEDIA.

BUT HAVING SAID THAT -- WE ARE WINNING MORE HEARTS AND MINDS EVERY DAY, and even some states. You must be patient to see how the caucus states will turn out -- and they show good hope of turning out for Ron Paul, just wait.

As for me, I will write in Ron Paul no matter what, and I really hate negativity.

Look Around and Meet Progress

"what is the point in donating more if there is no progress?"

No progress? Look around! Don't you see the Revolution taking off? Every day that goes by more people hear about Ron Paul even if they don't vote for him. The donations have accelerated that process. In the future, there will be hundreds of thousands that are committed to the ideas of Liberty, Prosperity, and Peace.

These are ideas that fly miles over the heads of your dime a dozen politicians who speak about cheap handouts and baby steps to nowhere.

Thousands will run for local office and get elected to change the course of this country. The Revolution is progressing, get on board for life!

"Don't want to sound like a troll but we are losing our moral everyday and just have to be realistic"

You are losing your "moral " (sic) everyday. If you are discouraged remind yourself what first sparked your interest in Dr Paul. Look back at the early debates. He was a no-name Congressman with slim chance of winning anything - Dr. Paul's sentiments. Now pundits are talking about the future of the GOP resting in his hands. That's progress, my boys!

If the ideas of liberty, prosperity, and peace do not get you fired up even if you were the last man standing that stood for them then remind yourself of the security that the you can gain from putting the shackles back on. What do you think has kept Dr. Paul running all these years? An idea. A hope. A dream.

We are making it happen. We can live that dream. But we must not lose hope. We must never surrender. For Freedom, For Life, Forever.

Ron Paul 2008 and Beyond!

This may sound crazy but i was

thinking after super Tuesday and after seeing the video here on Daily Paul about Fox showing how a computer can be fixed to benefit other candidates from taking from the candidate who should have received the actual vote.
I wouldn't put it past the computer programmer to be setting where McCain,Huckabee,Romney,Thompson & Giuliani( when they were in the race) got a percentage of votes away from Ron Paul.
Cyphered this way:
McCain 20%, Huckabee 25% Romney 20%, Giuliani 20% & Thompson
15% these percentages were to be taken from Ron Pauls votes, I know this is another wild conspiracy notion but would they be able to do it?
I think they would !

Remember the Fox video George Washington 3 votes Benedict Arnold 0 votes, when it was ran thru the computer Arnold 2 Washington 1.

Just a thought ! Maybe I have too much positive feelings about how
the American people would vote considering over 70% are against the war's.

"Freedom is a right that can never be won in war, only by each individual "

Of course, they would

And they are doing it primary after primary. That is why the
TV's are turned off at my house not listening to the "results". We will win this war, by the grace of Almighty GOD.

"Nothing is as it appears; everything is smoke and mirrors"

Doesn't explain caucuses, paper ballot primaries...

... entrance polls, exit polls, national polls....

Actually some exit polls

have not been representative of the results of the actual primary results.

Ask Guiliani and Thompson

They're experts at not winning states

And Howard Dean won exactly 1 state - Vermont, where he was governor, but his campaign energized and organized the liberal base, and we can use the Paul campaign to the same end.

He won washington and

He won washington and louisana caucuses

He has won 2 states the media just doesn't report on it

he has also taken 2nd in a few states

HELLLOOOOO!

You have to realize that we are up against a very formidable foe, whether it be the controlled media, fraudulent elections, lies, cheating, you name it, we are up against it. The message that Dr. Paul is delivering is one that I never expected to hear publicly declared in such a manner in my lifetime. You have to realize how very far we have come - and we have only just begun. I donated a lot of time and money, and I don't have a single regret. We need to stop whining (as many of us here keep repeating), get off your backsides and do your part to get the message of freedom, peace and prosperity heard. After all, our very lives depend on it, and we must share the responsibility of educating the sheeple of this country!

"Nothing is as it appears; everything is smoke and mirrors"

he has, they just don't

he have, they just don't count the votes.

He already has. I am sure.

He already has. I am sure.

Because the sleeple aren't awake yet...

Most people think everything is going just fine, no problems a few tweaks can't fix. Most voters are more interested in the fashion statements the candidates make. You've undoubtedly read posts on non-Paul forums that argue we haven't lost our freedoms because the phones and lights still work...as if that has something to do with freedom. I'm not being sarcastic here, that's just the way people are. But one day, they may go to work in the morning and discover gas is $19 a gallon and a jug of milk is $39, the interest rate on their maxed out credit cards is 79%, and utilities demand $2000 a month for heat and lights. Then we will have people's attention, but until then most are just fine because they are not seeing dramatic economic consequences to the status-quo.

vote fraud

He hasn't won because of vote fraud. Wake up friends. The powers to be have already selected their winner. We are only made to believe that we have a choice. The power is in the message and our collective mind. We must not give up or they have won.
Peace and light

Peace and light

Right

Do you have any evidence of that alleged vote fraud? I suppose if Paul were doing well in the primaries there would be no vote fraud. Correct? It's people like you who keep people from voting for Ron Paul.

agreed

I agree with wearelight. Something is fishy, but we must press on with canvassing, donating, sharing the message of freedom. EVERYDAY we gain new RP supporters. You never know when one person you attract and get to support RP might go hey-wire and gain 10,000 supporters..So, please, keep plugginf for RP..:-)

Texas

focus on Texas.

He won Washington Caucus

Of that I have no doubt.

When it does happen, the GOP goes into "corrupt" mode!

And figures a way to change the outcome.

Remember, Remember...it's all about the delegates now! We keep getting them and we're in!

This isn' a football game. "winning" is weakening NeoCon thought

If the NeoCon ideas become weakened soon enough then Ron Paul might be accepted before McCain gets it. If it takes longer but the NeoCon ideas still become a rejected philosophy because people were forced to listen to Ron Paul introduce new solutions besides violence and coercion then we still win. This isn't a football game! Teams dont matter. The coach doesn't matter. Ron Paul doesn't matter.

Changing the way Americans see themselves and the world matters.

Did Jesus win? Nope he lost big time. Or did he?

If Ron Paul won it would be a good feeling for us all. But our goal has never been to tweak our own egos... it was always about getting Americans to change direction back towards American values once again.

ANSWER: Because Voters Like to Pick a Winner

Many voters tend to make a really stupid mistake in primaries, and that is they try to pick the candidate they think everyone else will pick, so they can avoid "throwing away their vote" but instead "help" someone to win. Now if they were getting something for being right, this would make sense, but since no voter ever gets anything for picking the winner, it's absolute idiocy.

Yet the sheeple continue to do it and this is why you hear comments like, "I can't vote for Paul, he has no chance of winning," or "I don't want to throw away my vote on someone who cannot win." Unless the people in one state are radically different from the rest of the nation, then the voting results will largely be the same in every state. So, it is not surprising that Paul consistently won only second, third, or fourth place.

People have this nostalgic view of other states and places where people are different from their own locale--A place where Americans are still sane, self-sufficient, rugged individualists. Many view Texas with such an image. The fact is, it's just not true. I know for a fact that the welfare state and government run schools have rotted out the moral core of Texas' small towns just the same as its inner cities. This is why no state is radically different from any other, and the polling shows that. We're all subject to the same corrupting influences brought to every single county by the federal government.

I'd rather Ron Paul win the

I'd rather Ron Paul win the presidency than a state. Believe it or not, a brokered convention is more like the straw polls, online polls, text-messaging polls, etc. than the primaries in that it relies more on dedicated supporters to show up to participate in the delegate process. It's a thankless job, but if we can get a decent percentage of the people that voted for Ron Paul in the primaries to be a delegate for Dr. Paul, then we will put Ron Paul in the whitehouse if we get a brokered convention.

If you haven't figured it out....

you haven't been paying attention.

Washington state?!?

What happened to Washington state? Some posts say we won, others say we were third, etc. The MSM of course put him 3rd or 4th I think. I never know WHERE TO GET ACCURATE INFORMATION! And yes, CAPS on this one BECAUSE I'M ANGRY and feel lost in all the misinformation!!!

Must be all those taxpayer dollars going to psyops.

Define "win"

Per posts here, Ron Paul may have *won* Washington, based on the intent there of determining delegates.

Not only that, but the WA GOP is admitting to errors in what was being reported to the media (e.g., preferences at time of walking in door vs. their actual votes for candidate delegates).

What you are wishing for is that RP would win what the media is reporting/misleading watchers into believing *matters*.

I believe it's just "winner take all" or "proportionate" states where the delegates are actually assigned based on the voters' desires.

Voters really aren't voting for *President* at all! Why is it called "Presidential Primary", then? It's Political Party Delegate Primary!

You think

anyone would report on a win? I bet there wouldn't be any reporting and what attention he got would be marginalized. It's up to us and not the MSM or anyone else. Revolutions don't last a few months, this will be going on for years. Take what victories we can get and learn, learn, and learn more. Start working on the 14 year olds now, they will be voting in 4 years. Spread the word to everyone you know, that way you can come back with a grand "I told you so". Your planting the seed for the future if we don't get what we want today. Have faith.

I agree with you...

And I submit that Ron Paul and the RP Campaign Should, no, MUST go all out to win the state of Texas, his home state.

If we successfully win the delegate fight in Sept at the GOP convention without winning just one State, then the MSM and even friends such as Pat Buchanan will kick old Ron Paul in the ribs for "being tricky".

Ron Paul should spend not $700,000 in Texas, he should spend every last dime he has for the Win in Texas. The vote is April 8th. He needs to air 25,000 commericals and radio ads.... He needs to spend over $3,500,000 and campaign to WIN the state of Texas, not just his congressional seat.

Further, Ron Paul and Campaign HQ should HAVE FAITH in us in the grassroots.....as long as we see him go all out for the win, we will MONEY BOMB HQ back to life after the Texas primary no matter how it turns out.... but we must see that Dr. Paul goes ALL OUT with top notch TV and Mini Informercials.

Treg / Tempe, AZ

if you said the texas primary is April 8 you are not correct

We vote march 4! less than one month.
