And every day, it's growing.
It's obvious that this site has been infiltrated by people who do not support Ron Paul, and/or do not understand what he stands for and his stance on the issues.
A little friendly advice from a long-time freedom fighter:
Be careful running with some ideas you see posted here. Those posts may just be put there on purpose to lead the unsuspecting down a deceptive rabbit trail.
And before you post some of your own ideas, make sure you understand Ron Paul's message.
It's really a shame to see the voices of the true Ron Paul supporters on this site drowned out and ignored in favor of the agent provocateurs and the uninformed who get you pumped about the wrong stuff, and make you angry about things you have no control over, who distract you away from helping Ron Paul get votes, and who have contributed to the MSM's demonizing of Ron Paul in a very subtle manner.
I think that this site is full of stealth Obama, Clinton, McCain, and Huckabee supporters, as well as hardcore Party worshippers looking for converts, and others with an agenda opposed to Dr. Paul
Why do I know this? I've worked in politics and in campaigns and I know a thing or two about industrial espionage.
I feel really bad for Ron Paul that this has happened.

Trolls grow more powerful the more you talk about and acknowledge their presence. Every time you call a troll a troll or "FLAG" them they get fatter, taller, louder and stinkier. The moral of this story is:
DON'T FEED THE TROLLS
"Anti-Troll Warriors" don't help the situation at all. They just aggravate it. Most of us know who is what and why after we observe them for a while.
Just don't participate in their posts or talk directly to them ever. And don't call them "TROLL" or start screaming about "FLAG's". That only gets their engines going.
Just like this forum topic is feeding them. When they read this topic they are empowered and energized. You have validated their "success".
Just let them dry up and blow away.

I've watched this place go downhill for a while now, began right after New Hampshire. Now, we are all so damn suspicious of one another, nothing is getting done but a bunch of bickering. Nothing is being donated, all people do is complain; they are paralyzed. It is like a microcosm of our country, everyone so afraid of the terrorists they will give up on what is most important.
We are destroying ourselves, it happens to all popular movements that go against the establishment. We can either realize that fact, break out of the paralysis that has taken hold, and push onward, or we can destroy everything that has been built in the last year and continue down the road to defeat and utter failure. We may lose, things look bad. But have we come this far just to give up? Look at what we accomplished together people. This is no game and we should be damn proud.
We need to clean our house up, somehow, because if we can't do that, well...you can forget about cleaning up an entire nation.

There is one who could clean house. This place needs locked down a bit. Anarchy and mob rule are not working.
1) You must be a member for X weeks before flagging a post.
2) You must be a member for x weeks before posting a new topic.
3) If you break the posting guidelines, you are suspended and warned, if again, you are banned, your IP is banned.
4) If you insult someone, you are suspended. If it continues, you are banned.
5) If you have a topic flagged and deleted 3 times, it should be reviewed. If your fault, you are banned.
5) If you flag 5 topics in a 24 hour period, the topics you flagged should be reviewed. If you flagged them unjustly, you get a suspension. If it happens again, you are banned.
Understandably the above would take quite a bit of work, so find some trusted people to help as moderators (if we've done this already, we need more), find some developers who know how to configure Drupal to do the above things.

Already built that - noone uses it. So, my only route is to read and post here instead.
But 'here', as you pointed out, has problems. Flag Corps show up and destroy perfectly good posts and threads. They are followed by people posing as supporters and posing as truthers, and those folks post the most separatist 'me me me' threads imaginable.
Understandably, a lot of people - myself included - get peeved. And where is the person who is 'in charge' of this site, who could fix the mess?

I don't know how or even if this site could ever be fixed. That's the trouble with being online. Too easy to change identities.
In the days of the French Resistance, they gained ground over the Nazis because they were very discreet. They banded together in very small groups that kept separate from each other. Even husbands and wives sometimes worked in different groups and did know each was a Freedom Fighter. In this way it was hard for outsiders to infiltrate the group.

Suzan is right on. Fortunately, this site does not determine the fate of the revolution. That will be determined by the people in meetups, the canvassers, the marchers, the educators and the people who donate money to the campaigns of RP Republicans.
So fear not, Suzan. The posters on this site are not representative of the movement.

This seems to be a good short term measure. I would like it if we could find a way to stop the provacatuers (I doubt they are from the other campaigns, I would bet good money that at least a portion are CentCom or similar) but that would be difficult.

I have to protect the freedom of people to disagree.
I have to protect the right of people to live their lives and have beliefs that are different to my own (sometimes seems like 95% when I'm depressed).
But like Ron it's a moral and responsible position.

Why would agent provocateurs from other campaigns be infiltrating this site? To the other campaigns, we lost a long time ago and are not a threat.
What you are seeing is internal dissension, disillusionment, and desperation and it's not pretty. It's been lurking for months, but is now a much larger part of the discourse because many positive people have turned negative or simply walked away. Most of the people on this site are newbies to politics and had completely unrealistic expectations. They are now burnt-out. Some lash out, but most will simply leave and not return to politics for years or ever. Will you be one of the few that adjusts and stays involved?

But with this site it's just banging your head against the wall and wasting time. Look at history. Most internal dissent is stirred up by the enemy.
And then, some people here care more about themselves, how they feel, and their own little "causes" more than they do getting Ron Paul elected.
There are better places to spend time and things to do to help Ron Paul get elected and spread the freedom message.
The forces we are up against are so very big that we need some level-headed maturity and seriousness. Most of what is discussed here has no bearing on the big picture at all.

A Suggestion:
Put a terms of use set up when someone signs into the site.
Example:
I agree not to post defeating, derrogatory, or inflaming statements
that slow down the progress of the revolution, and or the campaign.
I understand that I can be removed for engaging in activities that are counterproductive.
This will make people think before they post and will keep out the
people who are here for the wrong reasons.
