I vote we exclude...no one.
I vote we include...everyone.
I would never be the one to disallow any American to be a part of this historic event. Period.

Yeah, the impression I got
was that Dr. Paul was talking about showing the media and DC how many supporters he has, not a general march on DC. He should clarify this soon.
I don't think anyone should try and "exclude" people. That's pretty much impossible and pointless.
It's all in the way it's promoted. If it's promoted as a Ron Paul event, mostly RP people will show.
If it's promoted or slanted differently from his original intent, then it's a free for all. Then Ron Paul and his message are the big losers.
This whole thing was suggested by Ron Paul and it's totally been hijacked and turned into something else. It's going to backfire on him big time.
Dear Dr. Paul: I'm sorry your "supporters" screwed up your idea.

Just Get The Word Out!
If you start thinking about who NOT to invite to a party, then it always ends up sucking. Just invite everyone and hope it doesn't get out of control.
I would advise people to
I would advise people to leave small children at home. Martial Law is apparent in our country and I fear a bit for the young ones.
Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
We can't control who shows up.
It's impossible. We do want a theme, at least for our group by bringing our Ron Paul signs, slim jims and set up as many RonPaul2008 tables as we can to educate the masses that do come.

Show your support on the Ron Paul Map !
People worldwide support Dr. Paul too :-)

Real eyes realize real lies
2012, we want our country back
2012 is the year for Ron Paul!
MSM Report: http://www.msmreport.com/
Include all
I do think the bulk of signs should be postive rather than negative. More "Idaho FOR liberty" or "Idaho for Ron Paul" instead of "Idaho hates the NAtional ID"
Of course, BUT...
there should be rules and understanding that certain groups will not "hijack" the event by trying to dominate the event (like 9/11, white/black etc. extremists...), as the media will focus on them and makes as if this is what the whole Ron Paul is about these groups. Perhaps a regulation only Ron Paul, constitution and peace signs allowed (and NO 9/11 was in inside job etc. type of signs). I know how the media works, they will focus and distort and give the GOP and nation the wrong impression.
Apart from Dr. Paul it would be very good if politicians like Gary Johnson, Barry Goldwater and perhaps some "political neutral people" like a judge, economist etc speak or say a few words.
wahhhh
Eastern Oregon is Ron Paul Country!
This affects everyone ,every
This affects everyone ,every single American!!.
"Observe the masses, and do the opposite."
"Observe the masses, and do the opposite."
AMEN!! :)
AMEN!! :)
We are All Americans Marching for Ron Paul
No one is marching for their special interest group. The signs everything should be the Ron Paul Campaign Issues. No Exceptions..
9/11 truthers welcome.... just leave your 9/11 truth signs at home.
ect.. We are marching for the Ron Paul platform.
RESTORING THE CONSTITUTION AND LIBERTY..
Bring your signs
Bring your signs (regardless). Am I or anyone else going to stop you? Why would, or should I?
For the speech and
For the speech and festivities, absolutely.
Even if we wanted to, it
It is inevitable that people will come out and express controversial views. Some of them will not be Ron Paul supporters. Some of them will be enemies of Ron Paul's presidential bid and Ron Paul's message seeking to divide us.
If we acknowledge this fact, the obvious, simple solution is that this march should be, in essence, "The March For Freedom, Liberty, And The Constitution, Led By Ron Paul", as opposed to "The March For Ron Paul"
Please see this thread: http://www.dailypaul.com/node/37640
so whats ur plan to exclude?
On what criteria do we decide who is acceptable and who not? Who decides? You? If there is a rally - and there are tens of thousands (hopefully hundreds of thousands) are you seriously suggesting that even if we wanted to exclude - we could? I am not being an ass, im serious.
I attended a 300,000+ rally in Chicago pre Iraq war - and trust me - once the people show up - you cant physically do it. Take a lesson from Dr Paul and the stormfront saga. Or the faux news 9/11 question at the debate. He refused to return the stormfront money. He refused to tell the truthers what to do or how to think. Ask yourself WHY and I think you will find out why it would be ridiculous to do something similar in this context.
And I dont see anyone here advocating inviting these groups to attend - rather, asking , what to do if and when (which some invariably will) they do show up. We do nothing. They are at OUR rally so they would be supporting our messsage. If their message is 100% opposite of ours- - thats their own dumbass fault for attending. People have a right to be stupid. And we dont have a right to tell them they cant be stupid. The freedom coin has two sides. You take the good with the bad or you reject the entire coin and have no money.
We will position you at the
We will position you at the turnstile. Ever vigilante ever ready...
Sounds good to me...
.. bump
Agree 100%
I posted on this very topic a few minutes ago on a thread regarding agent provacatuers (sp). If we start devolving into discussions of who can come , who can't, what is acceptable, what is not...well - havent we then become the very thing that we are protesting and marching against?
Amen. Could not have said
Amen. Could not have said it better (incidentally I lost sight of your post, so I started this one). Thanks for getting me started!
Thank You !!!!

if you build it he will come..........Ron Paul 2012.
digg http://digg.com/autos/First_Genuine_Chevy_Volt_to_be_Complet...
Then I will see everyone
Then I will see everyone there. Looking forward to it.
So what is this march
So what is this march about?
It is either:
A. Ron Paul for President
or
B. The Freedom Revolution
or
C. Both
If it is B or C - EVERYONE IS WELCOME, we'll bring every banner for every cause we care to support!
If it is only A - EVERYONE IS WELCOME, leave your banners at home (except for the RP for Prez ones, of course).
I think that is where a lot of 'issues' (including my own personal explosions) have come from. Many of us can't figure out what the march is supposed to be FOR.
My impression was that it was a Ron Paul for President rally - in which case I think it should stick to Ron Paul for President issues, things he has promoted in his campaign.
I dont think I'm the only one who initially thought it was just a march for the Ron Paul campaign.
So, if we are wrong about that, and it is a 'Free for All' march, then sticking to Ron Paul 'only' stuff isn't needed. Bring a basket of 9-11 shirts for all I care.. like I said, I'll buy one!
We need clarification on this, and the subject has been thrown in so many different directions, I think a lot of us are lost. I know I am.

A march on Washington is a
A march on Washington is a huge statement. I don't think it should be limited to the Ron Paul movement (definitely endorsed and sponsored by, but not limited to). This is a huge chance for America to stand and face their government.
