Battle for the republican party
Submitted by ironman77 on Wed, 02/13/2008 - 07:50
The 2008 election for the republicans is essentially over. Barring some unforseen incident, McCain will be the republican Nominee, and Obama the democrat.
And Obama will easily win.
At that point, the party will point to McCain, and say, see, we lost because we moved away from our conservative principles.
Then there will be a huge fight to redefine conservative principles. Those that saw Morning Joe this morning saw David Frum lay down an updated neocon agenda, and Joe Scarborough make fun of the Gold standard argument, and the CFR.

YES, I agree..............
Now the RP movement should begin transitioning into it's next phase. Electing true classic conservatives to the house and senate. Lets give the good doctor a support base of like minded senators and congressional reps so that he no longer needs to be the lone voice in congress against the republicrats.
Also, lets send a resounding shot that can be heard around the world at our DC ralley, WE HAVE NOT YET BEGUN TO FIGHT!
We will make a statement and have a presence at the National Convention, Barry Goldwater style.
We continue the education and outreach, helping the part time republicans understand how the party is fractured and failing. Help them understand how returning to our fundamental principals will strengthen us, how we can get back to the true meaning of conservative. we can ralley them to our cause.
We will sweep in perhaps up to a dozen RP conservative reps into the legislative branch this year.
They will up the anti by introducing bill after bill to restore the constitution.
We will infiltrate and fundamentally shift the inner workings of the republican party from the ground up. County members and leaders, state members and chairs, all throughout the party structure. We will become the republican party.
In 2010, we bring many more new RP republicans into the legislative branch.
We lay the groundwork for the next Ron Paul to run in 2012, or perhaps the good doctor may be up to it one more time.
This is just the beginning...........................
Man am I pumped!
Liberty is not free, It must be earned!
Liberty is not free, It must be earned!
Don't buy into a neocon rework of the party
if obama or hillary become President.
The neocon talk shows will try and act again like theyre conservative to bash the left and will talk a good talk but they will be just as fake as they've always been.
Rush and others are chomping at the bit in the potential they have for gain in the future as a Democrat presidency im sure will propel their careers for four more years.

The New GOP
We are the new GOP. Out with the crooks. it's time to out all these hoodlums. We're taking over now. They had their chance. Now let's push these clowns out of the way. Most of them have erectile dysfunction, that's probably why they want to take their frustrations out on creating wars.
The Ron Paul movement is just
shifting into third gear with lots of top-end to go.
Republicans
Just drop a line or call your local Republican "leadership" or representative and tell them that you are a RP Republican, and that you will not vote for any Neo-conservative they nominate. No need to be aggressive about this, just a statement of fact. Of course, they don't want to hear this, but it is the case -- at least with me. I'm not going to vote for someone like McCain or Huckakbee simply because I'm a Republican. If they want to continue along with their neocon advisers and program, well, let them. There are at least 10% RP Republicans in the G.O.P. -- we can keep them from being elected until they learn that being a Neo-con Republican insures their place on an "endangered species" list.

Indeed
The thing is, this is the fight we are in now. The 2008 nomination process is essentially over, and I'd hope that all RP revolutionaries would work for this goal, rather than worry too much about whether McCain will be the nominee.
at this point, We should be looking at 2010, 2012 and beyond.
Read the Israeli papers
The GOP's agenda will be Israel's right-wing agenda regardless. Joe thought he was free to go to bat for the Masters this morning because he was fronting for dual-citizen David Frum.
Israeli newspapers
It is interesting to note that it is easier to be critical of Israeli governmental policies, such as the "occupied territory" issues, in Israel than it is in the United States -- where such criticism can generate the standard "anti-semitism" label. Reminds me that there are no "St. Patrick's Day Parades" in Ireland. The Irish are more Irish here than in Ireland. This holds for most ethnic groups. It is not surprising that Jewish folk in the United States are far more "Jewish" than their fellows in Israel. They follow the inclinations of most immigrants, who, perhaps feeling a bit isolated in the "new country"are inclined to recall their old country with more than a bit of sentimental affection. Its happened in my own family (sorry, I'm not Irish!). The Jewish people in the United States are not immune from such "sentiments", as indeed, in our country, there have been Jewish people, such as the fine scholar, Professor Norman Finkelstein, who was barred from tenure at DePaul University because he offended Zionists such as Alan Dershowitz. Still, it is the case that there was a "Holocaust". If I were Jewish and knew a bit of history, I would want someplace in the world where I could be safe. Looking back upon what happened to Jewish people in Russia, Spain, England, and Germany -- among other places, and knowing that there are still people here that would want to do me in, perhaps the "neo-Nazis". I wouldn't put all my trust in any country unless it were a Jewish State -- hence, Israel. It can be looked upon as a place of refuge. The Irish, for example, under the heel of England recall that "times of trouble" with some anger. The same goes for the Jewish, who also remember their own "times of trouble". I'm just glad my great grandparents made it to the U.S. from a little country crushed for centuries under the heel of Russia -- All of us must conclude, even David Frum, that America is the last refuge. If we go, the world will go -- and the "old country" will return. He should be supporting Ron Paul.
