2-13-08 ~8 AM EST - Faux News states RP suspends race

0 votes

Any word on this?
I saw nothing on RP's campaign website.
I saw nothing here on the DailyPaul.

The kooky blonde on "faux and fiends" says RP suspends race because a brokered convention is no longer a possibility.

I found it odd, since there was no video feed, nor a quote from the campaign.

More disinfo???

What is interesting is that

they are STILL TODAY, with the meager number of delegates they are reporting for Dr. Paul, TERRIFIED OF HIM. THEY ARE GOING NUTS. That should tell us they know something is coming down the pike that Ron Paul knows too! It could be the Panama Canal birth - I know legal heads are really onto it.

Slanderous mother

Slanderous mother F^$kers!!!!!!! God I want to toss grenades through their front door and take a crap on the rubble.......

Historical move

Never before in history did a presidential candidate
call for a GRAND MARCH
If I am wrong please tell me
That is Historical news
They respond by saying he is out of the Race?????
That should put Fire in all our Bellies

We must MARCH
We must bring TRUTH to the People

Just called headquarters, they are aware of Fox

and say campaign has not been suspended. They said the press release is on the website, and they do not plan any further news.

Can you call Jay Leno too?

He might be interested to put RP back to his show?

As always, NBC would be more interested

in reporting an out and out lie by Fox than Fox would.

The people who only watch FOX are almost unreachable except for a knock on the door, a ring on the phone, or a hint dropped by Limbaugh.

I was wearing my Ron Paul revolution shirt at the Chiropractor

and the lady said, I wish he was still in it. I said He still is !
She thought he had dropped out.

More dis-info from Faux..

Since, I don't watch faux thanks for posting this.

We all need to flood their e-mail boxes...

the campaign needs to

do something. This is a lie.

Ok, now I got your points..

This is why we have to attend the march, people!!! Everyone will come. We're just still sorting out which day it will be.

Ron Paul must respond immediately with Lawyers if necessary

Other Primaries are at stake here!

Negatives Seem to spread so much faster than positives

It's amazing to me. Ron Paul has been on the news and in the debates a significant amount of time. Even with that, it seems like it is so difficult to get name recoginition.

Now, with only a few quick bits about Ron Paul supposedly suspending his campaign, it sounds like everyone and their mother has some how heard that Ron Paul is dropping out.

To me, that kind of suggests that most people get most of their news from the quick headline bits on these news shows. So when they fail to mention Ron Paul in the results or in their headline stories, he goes unnoticed. When they mention in their headline stories that he is dropping out, everyone seems to have heard about it. I guess the media has figured this out quite well and uses it very effectively.

As a Republican-I always laughed when LIBS criticized FOX

In past years I always thought it was funny the way hat Liberals (especially) would knock Fox News. For all the LIBERAL bias other networks showed - I felt that we NEEDED a Fox type network to show the other side.

But those dirtballs are liars through and through.

I wouldn't watch Fox anymore if you paid me.

Okay, I still laugh at that

I used to be pretty Fox-inspired until the very day I discovered Ron Paul. However, I still laugh at liberals laughing at Fox because they are saying the same lies as Fox and laughing at minutiae. That whole FOX: "move on.org must apologize for the General Betrayus ad", liberal media: "Rush must apologize for whatever" thing that went back and forth is even funnier now than it was when I was FOX-inspired because then they lie in harmony on the next story..

Ok, whoever watches Faux and the rest of them OM's

will need to be spanked. ROFL!!

Couldn't the Campaign HQ do something

About the lies that are spreading? Surely they could do what is needed in order to stop this. They all need to be set straight and let Dr. Paul alone and focus on his campaigns. Faux News loves to spread rumors about Dr. Paul and from the way they've treated him we no longer turn that station on. The MSM needs to be set straight and there has to be someone that can do it. I sure do hope so because Dr. Paul doesn't need this happening to him. He needs all his energy on the two campaigns.

DO RUN RON!!!!!

Can We Get a TRO?

It seems like we could get a Temporary Restraining Order prohibiting them from publishing fraudulent information depriving voters of their right to vote. It's hard to say, since they have the protection of the First Amendment, but it seems like they have crossed the line.

I certainly feel they injured me deliberately.

We do need a retraction

In canvassing, I've been able to convince Fox-inspired minds to consider injecting the only conservative delegates they have the option to inject into the Republican National Convention.

In doing that, I had to first assure them he was still in the race. In my follow-ups, I'm going to have to do it again and again on the day of voting, considering that Ron Paul's only media coverage is these lies.

We must demand a retraction.

ALL LIES. It's either ineptness or willfull deceit...

Defend Liberty!

please post with as many details as you remember

what channel. what time. what show? what were they discussing. what were the exact words. who said it.

can you post in the censored forum at ronpaulforum.com

thanks

I heard it too

It was right after 8:00am this morning. They mentioned that Huckabee refused to drop out. Then the blonde said something like Ron Paul suspended his campaign since he doesn't think there's a chance that there will be a brokered convention. They made it sound like he did the same thing as Romney.

The problem was Ron Paul's email was kind of vague and allowed this kind of thing to happen. Yes, you can reread the email and figure out that he actually wasn't dropping out but I know that the first time I read it I walked away with a feeling of defeat. He should have made it much more upbeat and crystal clear about continuing the campaign. He should not of used any words about downsizing.

The downsizing talk wasn't necessary

Not advertising in states that already voted? Really?

Even having less staff goes without saying. I really had to read it multiple times over many days to understand it. That's why I thought early on he didn't write it because his message is always so clear.

Defend Liberty!

I still don't think he wrote it.

Why would he quote Trotsky (of all people?) Why is that email still posted prominently with link on front page of the website when it obviously caused a lot of confusion? It doesn't make sense at all.

Yes, yes, yes

The way it was put out, made it sound as if it was a new development - not the crapola from the email on Friday.

I don't know the girl's name - but she's the crazy-eyed chick on "Fox and Friends" from 7-9 AM weekdays.

How Do We Contact

Also his campaign has to be all over this. And demand to be on air to counter that.

slanderous

Isn't that considered slander? You know, like when someone lies about you and it materially hurts you?

Can we get "Noelle's" ruling on this?

"We don't have to start a brand new revolution...All we have to do is restore the original Constitution." -Ron Paul

----

"...a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people." -John F. Kennedy

Close to slander

Lawyers will be able to answer you better, but my guess is that they are within the letter of the law, if not its intent.

They are reporting a claim that he said something that could be argued as being neutral. They are not claiming that he said something illegal.

So I am interested in what Noelle has to write on this; but not expecting opportunities to sue Fox.
