This is going to ruffle some feathers.....
but here it goes.......
I think we all agree that the only chance RP has at winning the nomination is through a brokered convention.
Now please think about this before you react.......
We need to stop Mccain from winning at all costs, even if it means voting for Huck........If McCain gets enough bound delegates (see this post http://www.dailypaul.com/node/37727), which is 1191, then it is over..... period....... end of story....and all of this time, energy, and money that everyone has put into this will be for nothing now but possibly good for 2012 provided we still have a country by then.
I want RP to win just like every other sincere person on this site, but if voting for Huck helps gain a brokered convention, then so be it....otherwise we have zero chance.....and some chance is better than zero chance.
Please....I am only talking about the states where RP is low in the polls and has a small chance to win.
So we have two choices.......vote out of principle and with your heart and choose RP or vote for the brokered convention and a chance at the nomination and vote Huck.......but only in the states where RP has no shot at winning......I am all for voting RP in the states where we have a chance to win.....
Otherwise McCain will win the nomination....and God help us if that is the case.
.
And I know all about RP saying vote for him.....please go to the link above because a brokered convention is a very real possibility.
I wouldn't want to vote for Huck anymore than any of you here....but it is out of necessity.
.
Oh yea.....we need people to become delegates......

Cowardly Troll.
Shut up Shut up Shut up. No one vote for Huckabee he is a lunatic. If you want to do something pray to the lord almighty to kill McCain.
Huckabee Will Go to McCain
I disagree with this strategy because I have a very strong feeling that Huckabee is going to eventually fold and give all his delegates to McCain. I think he's holding out just long enough to get enough delegates to put McCain over the top and then he will drop out and endorse McCain.
I hope I'm wrong.
Never vote for Huck under any condition!
Not in a caucus state, nor in primary states wher delegates are allocated by the share of votes!....And in winner-takes-all states, I will still vote for RP because otherwise it will give a wrong signal to the already bad-mothing press!

The only way someone should
The only way someone should even think about considering this is if they are in vermont. That is it. Texas is only winner take all if the winner gets 50%, which won't happen because Paul and Huck will definitely equal over 50%.
Now Vermont is only 17 delegates. I'd rather everyone vote for Paul and let the chips fall as they may.
Agree 200%...let the chips fall as they may

NO ONE...
except Ron Paul will get my vote, even if I have to write his name in-PERIOD, END OF STORY.
Good Try, I like thinking outside the box...
...but wrong focus.
Trying to figure the formula for winning the
nomination is just too problematic. There are too
many variables—especially since those in control
have no intention of letting us win.
The need now is to understand the enemy we're
up against (not McCain or Huckabee), and widen our
focus to ask new and better questions about what really
needs to be done to finally secure the win in November.
Figure that out first and the convention tactics will
become clearer.
This is an election like no other; the old rules
and the old thinking do not apply... Think again.
I agree, but ONLY in the
I agree, but ONLY in the close states, like Ohio and maybe even PA.
I would think Indiana will easily go to Huck so voting for Ron would not help McCain.
You're right, this is our last shot. We have to keep McCain from 1,191.
my worst nightmare is to have McCain win a state by 1 or 2% when we could have made the difference.
NO, in PA the delegates are
NO, in PA the delegates are unbound anyway and in Ohio there is no winner take all, the delegates are split proportionally. So McCain 40, Huck 30, Paul 20. or McCain 40 Huck 60 is irrelevant. McCain would get the same number of delegates. But you would be taking delegates away from Paul
We need to face the reality
We need to face the reality that even at a brokered convention it's still a long shot. There are super delegates that will try to assure preventing Ron Paul from getting the Nomination.
I don't see the point of voting for Huck when voting for Ron Paul still keeps votes away from McCain. The only place it could make a difference possibly is in winner take all states, don't know how many are left.

Well thats true as well.
Well thats true as well. Good point.
Puppets come and puppets go but the world's stage is getting cluttered.
It's a double edged sword
but probably the truth of the matter. I was thinking of posting the same exact type of message about two days ago. It seems very clear that the only way for us to have this brokered convention is for the Huckster to :
1. Remain until McCain can't retain the votes
2. Remain at least until RP has secured his house seat.
3. hopefully both and farther along
The draw down of votes to McCain is the obvious key, hence the MSM obsession with with trying to heckle Huck off the stage.
Puppets come and puppets go but the world's stage is getting cluttered.
I could never
ever vote for the Huckster any more than I could vote for McCain.
.
I don't want to either, but it is out of necessity.

Watch RP'S last video
He states for you to vote for him no matter what.
It is not about going to a brokered convention, that is not going to happen, it is about PROVING our numbers.
Go to the RP web site and watch his last video from yesterday again.
They explained that we should not do this
Check the HQ site, the said votes for Ron Must go to Ron only.

But RP HQ isn't exactly populated by rocket scientists is it?
.
It sure isn't
BUT I don't believe RP supporters should vote for anyone but RP.
