UNBELIEVABLE!!!@@RON PAUL REPUBLICANS TAKING OVER MARYLAND@@
Yesterday, Marylanders nominated 4 Ron Paul Republicans for Congress in an unprecedented Republican primary race. Maryland has a total of 8 congressional districts.
In Maryland's Second Congressional District, Richard Pryce Matthews won the Republican nomination unopposed, with 100% of the vote.
In Maryland's Fourth Congressional District, Peter James won in a 4-man race with 38.7% of the vote.
In Maryland's Fifth Congressional District, Collins Bailey won in a 3-man race with 45.7% of the vote.
And in Maryland's Seventh Congressional District, Michael Hargadon stomped out his primary opponent with 73.5% of the vote.
Congratulations to these Ron Paul Republicans and good luck to them in the general election!!!

Hopefully This Trend Will Continue...
We better all hope so, because all of our futures depend on getting more people elected that have the same philosophies as Dr. Paul.
Great News!
Not unbelievable
BELIEVABLE, more to come/
This is great news.
We can only win by chipping away at the beast, it will be a long hard slog in the mud but we must do as necessary. And we will prevail, freedom is natural and Divine.

I was at a District 1 Forum...
...before the election. The incumbent Wayne Gilchrist was not in attendance but all others were. The winner of the Primary, Andy Harris, in his introduction, explained why he was running. To paraphrase he explained how concerned he was about the incredible danger that is now looming over this country; one that we have never seen before in our history. He was worried "beyond comparison" as this "danger" threatens the very existence of our nation.
Of course I was waiting to here him talk about the dollar and the impending loss of its position as the world's reserve currency or even how corporations have taken control of our existence and have thrust us into an "individual" never-never land of socialism and corporate welfare which threatens everything we have ever told ourselves about being "American"
Well I almost puked (really I had to hold myself from physically beating him about the head) when he said, "And that danger is the rise of "Islam-o-fascism"! F%$#....! The only guy who "Knowed What's Fer" was Joe Arminio but the crowd was stacked for the career politicians in the room and when Joe talked they were completely oblivious as to what he was trying to explain about economic and foreign policy. Jeez...we have a TEST to get a driver's license yet they allow people to vote....And then Harris went on to say that he will fight to protect us and be SURE that the National I.D. card is implemented as soon as possible.
Then, what REALLY F#%^ed me up more were all of the nodding blue haired heads in the room. Baaaaaaaaa. Baaaaaaaa.
God Damn It. GOD DAMN IT ALL TO HELL!
How much is a ticket to the Hauraki Gulf? They sail there too and I hear South Island is beautiful. I think I could learn to like Rugby. Naaaa. Friggin' corporations will screw that up too I suppose...

few courageous men
standing up for america.thank you Dr. Paul.
unfortunately
look at the numbers they got in comparison to the people they're gonna be going up against in the general election, for most of them you could take all the republican votes and they still couldn't beat the incumbents score, in most cases the numbers of republicans that voted was somewhere in the range of 10 percent of the number that voted for the democratic incumbent
I'm not saying we can't win, just that they're gonna be tough battles

agree, doesn't matter, gotta start somewhere
as jcr says below. First, it is exactly in those "loser" districts for Republicans where you can get on the ballot and win (the party nomination I mean), as the machine has given up on those districts completely. Suddenly, you are the Republican candidate because no one else even signs up. Provides a great opportunity to learn politics and build up experience in debating and stumping. Sometimes the incumbent in these gerry-mandered districts has no opposition at all. So, by being a candidate, you get invited to debates and a certain amount of free news coverage.
Since these districts are used to NO debates and NO alternative views, those guys are really free to express themselves without the party bigwigs pressuring them to toe the line. They might even make a race competitive here or there.
One huge problem Ron Paul has in running for President is so little support within the party machinery, so just getting on ballots and being a candidate also can get you into the state party apparatus.
Gotta start somewhere.
Maryland has a lot of Democrats who are just as unhappy as most Republicans are. Just about all of the incumbents voted for the war, and voted for the "patriot" act. The RPR candidates can shred them on those issues.

Nope....
Tribalism is very strong here. The idiots just voted Democrat Martin O'Malley as Governor and the first thing he did was raise the sales tax which hurts the very numbskull's that elected him.
Note the vote totals for Dems someone listed below.

who cares? That thinking is in effect in most places
so, you're advising to do nothing and just feel depressed, whining and eating potato chips?
Relax, understand you're probably going to lose, but get in the fight, if for nothing else than the fun of it.
YAHOO!
I live in Maryland's 4th district and I am Hootin' proud!
Peter James for Congress!!!
The 4th district elected ALL Ron Paul delegates and alternates; lead by Peter James.

Please edit your post for anyone else that checks it. I would have already emailed this to someone, but have to go to bed. You do realize that someone new to Paul will likely not read the comments, will read right up to the link and if it doesn't work, close the page.
It's well analyzed web behavior. In any case, I'll just put it on my blog tomorrow, with working links, and send that to the contacts in Maryland. The comments section around here is to sketchy anyway. For all I know, a provocateur posting about Bush being a lizard alien or Masonic disciple is going to pop up as the most recent comment right before mom clicks the page.
thaks I just did
