Jim Forsythe for Congress - NH 1st District
by Linda Lagana
The Ron Paul Revolution can be a powerful coalition to promote freedom, peace and prosperity. We are hundreds of thousands strong and growing. Together we can move mountains. The question is, what mountains should we focus our efforts on for maximum effect?
We can start by booting out those in Washington who refuse to take their oath of office seriously and replace them with constitutionally-minded Congressmen and Senators. Ron Paul supporters should band together to support all candidates who will work on our behalf to reduce the size and power of government, and restore our republic.
There would be no better candidate to help further our cause in Washington than Dr. Jim Forsythe. Jim's military and life experiences, his love of country, and his business background makes him highly qualified to hold the office of US Congressman.
Congressmen Ron Paul officially endorsed Jim Forsythe at the Liberty Forum held in New Hampshire last month ...
Running a credible Congressional campaign requires a minimum of $400,000. Jim has formed an exploratory committee to research a run and hopes to make a formal announcement in the coming weeks. His decision to run will be heavily impacted by his ability to raise the required money to fund his campaign. Let's not let this opportunity pass us by.
If we wish to win this battle, it is imperative that we support true patriots like Jim Forsythe who will work hard to restore our country to the America it was intended to be. To that end, I am asking all Ron Paul supporters to dig just a little bit deeper into your pockets to donate what you can to Jim's campaign.
Let's all pitch in and do our part to fund Jim's run for Congress and send Congressman Paul some help in Washington.
Pledge or give now...
Sign up to pledge to give $100 on February 21st at http://www.flytoliberty.com. If $100 is too much, go ahead and make a smaller donation today at www.jimforsythe.com
Thanks for your support!

I donated some now -- wish I could donate more, maybe later.
Dr. Forsythe - please keep us posted on how the fundraising is going. I hope it goes well, and we need all the "hope" we can get!

When I reach the age marker I'll be running for congress. For now I'll be impatiently tapping my fingers and donating as much time and money to Ron Paul republicans as possible! I donated $25 to Jim tonight. It's not much but it's still something, right?

Districts in NH
We have two Congressmen from NH hence two districts.
It is sort of like NH is split down the middle.
District 1 is nearer the coast, while District 2 is inland.
Here is a list of towns of the two Districts and if you are currently under Carol Shea Porter then yes, you want to vote for Jim if he decides to run. If not there are some other decent choices as well.
http://www.sos.nh.gov/congress.htm
If you are in District 2, you need to vote out Paul Hodes.
NH 1st Congressional District
Many here will not be familiar with the districts in New Hampshire, although understanding this detail might provide helpful context for those who live away from the area. For those interested, it looks like this district includes Manchester, NH's largest city. For more on the geography and history I found this (not sure why the link doesn't appear correctly)

Is there a central place where Ron Paul endorsed candidates (national, state, local) are listed or promoted?
Yes..
I have invited people to send me the names and info and links of all RP candidates for inclusion on state pages on www.ronpaulhive.com/hive

La congressional race
In Louisiana we have a Ron Paul republican running for an open congressional seat in a largely republican district. David Simpson is a local businessman and Ron Paul supporter. His campaign website is http://davidsimpson.us/index.shtml The primary is coming up on March 8th and he needs all the support he can get.
i agree
why not put this as a new post?
esp with any info you have on him - people need to support all these RP-type candidates

I don't care what party someone running is from...
I don't care what color they are.
I don't care what religion they claim to cling to.
I certainly don't care if they are male or female...
...if they are congruent to Ron's positions, they have my vote.
That's all I need to hear. From here forward, eveyone at every level get's compared to Ron Paul.
I'll donate to you Jim, maybe not $100, but I will donate.
Well..
You'd better care or you might find out that you can't vote for him when you get to the polls. I am not sure what the registration requirements are, but in some states you have to be of that party to vote for that person in the primary. I'm not sure if this works like that for Congressional races but that is info that Jim could likely add to his website if not already. (I'm not his webdev sadly so I can't do it)
So if nothing other than techincal reasons, yes you need to care about what party someone is running under.
Ditto!
I can vouch for this candidate. Also I thought his PhD was in Aerospace Engineering...
PhD
Yes, my PhD is in Aerospace Engineering. Masters in the same, undergrad in Physics.

This is a man
My Fellow Revolutionaries-
This is a man we need representing our interests in Congress.
When Dr. James Forsythe is around, you know he'll get the job done.
He's the real mccoy, the genuine article, a tried and true freedom loving American. Ask ANY person that was in New Hampshire about Jim Forsythe and they'll tell you.

Jim rocks!
Worked with him on various Ron Paul and other liberty-related efforts. This is the guy we should have in Congress.
hey ofer...
...how's NH?
(Evan from NYC, btw)
Jim represents the future of this country
I went to school with Jim. And was commissioned from the same AFROTC cadet corps as he was.
Let me tell you he is an amazing individual. Passionate about liberty. Always striving to better himself and those around him. A dedicated father and husband.
He worked tirelessly on Dr. Paul's campaign for the last year... organizing the largest meetup group in New Hampshire. When Jim was un-satisfied with the primary results... he took the matter into his own hands... he decided to pursue a run for Congress.
He didn't have to do this! He has children at home and runs his own business. These are huge sacrifices he is making... but he does it for the same reasons that he served in the Air Force for 14 years... he loves his country!
Please consider sending some money to his campaign.
When I wrote my check to help him get started I wrote on the "For:" line:
'To help elect one more honest man to Congress.'
I stand by that statement. I am honored to know the man... and even more honored to have walked some of the same hallways with him.

Ron Paul Politician's Club
Maybe the role of Ron Paul, if not as President, can be one of political mentorship. As a limited government supporter, I'm guessing that others with similar attitudes might be reluctant to run for political office at any level -- we're just too intolerant of the games that come with the position. Dr. Paul's long time willilngness to be a lone voice is remarkable. If he can nurture like-minded individuals new to Congress, it could really stir up the voting dynamic.
Good.
We need to help this guy get in, he's young, and perhaps he could be one of the revolution's leaders in the coming years! After I finish my doctorate in international affairs, I hope to research a run of my own in the future.
The revolution has just begun!
It would be nice
to give Dr. Paul some company in Washington.
Yeah it sure would...
I'd like to see a PHD Austrian economists run...they could school all the do-gooder socialists in Washington.
Look up
Murray Sabrin. He has a PHD in economics and is an Austrian Economist running for Senate. Support his cause!

I thought he had a PHD in Finance...
but I just googled him up. I see that it is in economic geography.
Also Sabrin is a really big critic of central banking. Woot!
Confused
That must be some other person by the same name. As noted above he's a PhD in aerospace engineering.
