"Dump McCain!"

McCain has gained ten points in the Rasmussen polls in about 5 days. What about some independent attack ads to cut his support in key states? How about exposing him for opposing actions to bring home POWs in Vietnam, apparently to keep them from telling on him for collaboration with the communists?

The official campaign can't do this, but why can't we? We don't need to cut his legs out from under him all over the place, just in the states with primaries coming up. This might be doable. How about this:

"John McCain sings [here put his singing of "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran"] and declares the joys of [here put his voice for 100 years in Iraq]. But when John was in Vietnam, he collaborated with the communists. Later, he worked to ensure that other POWs would die as prisoners in Vietnam to ensure they wouldn't tell on John McCain.

Now John McCain wants you to make him commander in chief. He wants a whole new generation of post traumatic stress disorder sufferers, POWs, and the slaughter of tens of thousands of our best and brightest.

How will he replace this talent? With illegal aliens, of course! Never mind the gang members, tuberculosis and leprosy laden food service workers, and the millions of violent and sexual crimes committed by illegals.

Just say no to John McCain. This message was not paid for or authorized by any candidate.

What do you think? Is it at least worth a try? The hope for a brokered convention is still real even if it is somewhat dim. Furthermore, this is not a "$2,300 limit" project. If we can find a wealthy benefactor we can get these running.

How about doing one of these and circulating it on the web? Maybe we could find a benefactor.

Someone needs to ask McCain why he says it's all right to trade with Vietnam and Cuba (as he proposed in 1995) but not all right to talk with Iran? Also, someone needs to ask McCain why he's so chummy with Joe Lieberman, a man who started his political career in vehement opposition to the Vietnam war.

This sentence is rough:

"I urge you will do everything in your power to prevent John McCain from becoming the Republican candidate and do whatever possible to bring him to defeat if he is nominated."

Instead try:

I urge you **to** do everything in your power to prevent John McCain from becoming the Republican candidate and do whatever possible to bring him to defeat if he is nominated.

On top of that it would be much better if you would allow one to add some of their own comments at the end of your text. I would like to add "Ron Paul is the only one who can beat the Democrats, and the only one with true, popular support not artificially manufactured via perceptions in the media. If Ron Paul had half the media time he would have twice the number of votes as McCain".

DEBATES! How do we get debates. They stopped them because they don't want Paul on tv. We need them now really badly.

A recent post in Huffingtonpost.com gets after McCain for his vote against a ban on Waterboarding. Lots of anger against McCain -- and the "Republicans". I've written in to this blog and others making the point that there is ONE Republican who has been "marginalized" (to say the least) by the leadership of the Republican Party which now is controlled by the neocons. Paul is not to be confused with this neocon Republicanism, but is, as he says, an authentic conservative Republican. It seems to me that a great many neoconned Republicans might be awakened to the fact that such as McCain are NOT conservative Republicans. The torture issue is a big one, and McCain's vote has alienated a lot of Republicans who might otherwise have seen him in a more favorable light. Now is the time for the supporters of Ron Paul to get onto the blogs and start to distinguish Paul from the rest of the neocon candidates. As McCain falls, Paul can rise. Hit the blogs! Yes, its fun to preach to the choir, but get out there and get after the torture-war sponsors of McCain (don't forget his pal, the slippery Lieberman) as well as the neocon censorship of Ron Paul.. these are "tipping point" issues.

I dislike that dude, he seems he's got a stupid plan up his sleeve.

For anyone who lives in a state that has already held their primary/caucus, you should find out who was chosen as the delegates from your district and see if you can set up a meeting with them. this may only be possible if they are "unbound" delegates, I don't know.

Anyway, find some intro that won't cause them to dismiss you outright and see if you can talk to them before the convention. They should be just ordinary local people, so do what you can to educate them to the truth. If they are honest, they should be able to make the right decision and they may even know the other delegates and could work to convince them.

Jsut because delegates have already been assigned to another candidate in many states, don't let that stop you from trying to contact them and convert them. Could you imagine the shock if all of these delegates were to show up at the convention and cast their votes for Ron Paul, when they were expected to vote for McCain? That would be classic!
