"MANAGUA, Nicaragua: President Daniel Ortega, who led the 1979 revolution in Nicaragua, says Barack Obama's presidential bid is a "revolutionary" phenomenon in the United States.
"It's not to say that there is already a revolution under way in the U.S. ... but yes, they are laying the foundations for a revolutionary change," the Sandinista leader said Wednesday night as he accepted an honorary doctorate from an engineering university."

okay, so the Sandinistas are now officially behind the
Obama campaign. I guess that Cuban flag and portrait of Che at the Houston HQ wasn't an aberration after all, LOL.
This country is so stupid, so stupid. They are gonna vote this guy in who is no longer hiding his affiliations at all. Remember that a good percentage of voters now have no memory of the struggle against marxism or the Soviet bloc. They don't even kinow who Danny Ortega is, for pete's sake...it was 25 years ago.
You are SO right
And that makes me nervous, and mad, and frustrated.

I thought this was Dr. Paul site?
Correct me if I failed to notice the point of this post, but why waste time on the most liberal dem in the government?
He is a BIG question mark and that is it!
You are absolutely right
I posted this as a bit of Irony.
The man that the unwashed masses are supporting, is a socialist, through and through. Between this, and one of his "unofficial" campaign office sporting a Cuban flag, it's an opportunity to show people exactly what a vote for Obama will get them.
It's ammunition for us Ron Paul supporters.
This Obama endorsement is GOOD for us.

Ortega is from South America...
that means he's probably a huge socialist...yuck
atrickpay....Danny Ortega was the leader of the
Sandinista movement in Nicaragua that helped overthrow General Somoza during Jimmy Carter's presidency, in 1979, I believe. They are communists and were assisted by Castro and the Soviet Union. During the 1980's the Reagan administration covertly supported a counter-revolutionary force (it really wasn't that covert) that attempted to, in turn, overthrow the Sandinistas. It's a long story.
Eventually, Ortega was kicked out by peaceful means but within the last couple of years came back and was elected President of NIcaragua, a position he currently holds. The fact that Ortega and Castro are inserting themselves into the American presidential campaign and on the side of Barrack Obama is very disturbing.
Now if he'd only send him a
Now if he'd only send him a check for $500.00

Good one, islandflyer! But seriously, we must be the COUNTER revolution and stop this communistic governmental CREEP.

What McCain is looking for
is to win the votes of Cuban-Americans, so he brings up the story of Cubans torturing American POWs in Hanoi. Threatening regime change in Cuba is a guaranteed vote-getter among Cuban refugees in this country - and McCain probably is crazy enough to follow through on it!
