Carl Cameron said Ron Paul "... hit it out of the park"

0 votes

Carl Cameron said that with the electability question a lot of Ron Paul supporters were upset with him, but that "The truth is, he (Ron Paul) hit it out of the park".

Check out the video (Cameron's comment starts at 3:19)

The electability issue is bogus.

We need to turn over the slimy rocks and expose those who own the media. Anyone is "electable," the junior senator and from Illinois and "W" proved that. We need to hit the media phoneys ever day with the truth.

The question was meant to him 'out of the park'

but i loved his response, and so did many supporters... they got an answer they hadn't bargained for.. and according to the applause Dr.Ron Paul got..his supporters weren't disappointed..
but ... isn't that rehashing old stuff?

VERY old news

That video was posted shortly after the debate over a year ago.

What?

On the question of electability, I haven't heard of any RP supporters being unhappy with his answer.

wrong "him"

not paul, cameron...

We're stupid

For caring what these characterless assholes say. We should be getting in and taking the system over. We should all be delegates, that's how we win this thing.

americans deserve to suffer

whatever horrific great depression economic collapse is coming. They proved again and again in this primary that they are idiots and sheep. They have no clue their country is collapsing under 67 trillion dollars of debt. no clue. They will keep trying to say that foreclosures happen only because they are sub prime. No they are happeneing because we are now six years without job creation. they can lie about hte job numbers (whcih are still abysmal) but they cant hide bankruptcies reposessions and foreclosures. welcome to homeless america the new third world. that was their intiontion and 4 yrs of McCain will send the dollar to ten cents against the euro and oil to 10 dollars a gallon. you think I am exaggerating? think again.

I was thinking that today.

I went to my nephew's bday party at an Ice Rink and sat for a moment looking at the people. Being from NJ... if they voted... they voted incorrectly. So I kinda felt a little like an outsider in my own mind. All these people goin about their day ... oblivious to the dangerous entities that convene to rob them of their "supposed" wealth.

I then thought of my town. I designed a flyer that said it the way it is. Handed out over 1500. RP received roughly 30 votes or so. Sad. very sad how evenmy own family would believe the news over one of their own. Maybe if I was rich and was VP of Verizon my word would have more weight. But damn. I'm a good man. Does that count anymore?

Maybe not. To bad we all have to suffer.

Does my burka make my butt look fatwa?

It is sad

The young people love Ron Paul....

but apparently, there are more young people who love Obama.

You get what you vote for, and if we go to war, I hope these kids get conscripted.

It's sad but we are then

It's sad but we are then ones informed and it is our duty to spread the word and to continue no matter what happens. I too can not understand why people do not see the truth. I guess people believe what they choose to or want to. Boy is there an awakening in store for all of them. At least we have the ability to see it coming before it happens.

Fantastic!

Wow I almost don't hate Campaign Carl anymore! But really, he's right -- Ron shot back with the truth and Carl at least admitted it!
Thanks for posting this fantastic video. I did not like the gadfly bit at the beginning, but basically this video was a bit of truth that finally managed to worm its way into the media, somehow! The truth is powerful.

Now, if he had actually asked a question

that would help people decide if they want to vote for Ron Paul, he would have hit that out of the park, too. Hitting squids out of the park is impressive, but they are still squids.

Defend Liberty!

Well...

The gal who said O'bum'us was her first choice and Ron Paul her second also said that she liked Ron Paul's thought (ideas) verses no actual intelligent reasoning stated towards her first choice.

Camaroon is still an idiot! I guess now he is claiming that he actually helped Ron Paul.

Probably a ploy: Their "cough" "cough" news is takin' a big hit with the boycotts? Tryin' to woo back Ron Paul supporters? Oh, found the phrase: customer relations. Yeah, thats it.

Carl Cameron, you are on the

Carl Cameron, you are on the list son......and you ain't gonna explain your way off it. The media is full of lies and deceit. We've witnessed it first hand and they only thing they are doing now is trying to boost their ratings.

If you believe anything that comes out of Carl's mouth

I have a lake front lot in the Arizona desert I'd love to sell you. That's just his way of saying, "I'm just doing as I'm told so please leave me alone about the electability thing." Cameron, Hume, and Wallace would sell their mothers and sisters into prostitution for a buck and never miss a night's sleep.

Good try...

Carl Cameron's treatment of Ron Paul at the SC debate was disrespectful. Are we going to hear the same rationalization from Anderson Cooper for his unprofessionalism?

I will never forget how Congressman Ron Paul looked when that question was posed and the laughter started.

The media is prostituted and mercenary - I don't know how these people sleep at night. There is no rationalizationing away how this good and godly man has been treated by these wolves.

“The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.” Ron Paul - The Revolution

Crazy questions are great opportunities

Carl Cameron is absolutely correct. Snarky questions are opportunities for a candidate to really shine. How many times was Ron Paul asked a question that you just sat there and said. "Oh no, how is he going to answer that one?" Then some how he comes up with a great come back that makes him look like the smartest man in the world. It began with Giuliani's outburst in May about 9-11. I sat there waiting and wondering how the hell is he going to retort that. It was a defining moment in his campaign.

When he gets asked about farm subsidies in Iowa or Fidel Castro in Miami or affirmative action in the Black debate or pornography at the Values debate, he comes back with answers that all the other candidates are afraid to say. This makes him stand out as a man who doesn't pander to special interests. It's what makes him special.

Third Party

What this shows is RP had broad interest from all parties and people. Sticking to the Republican Party Hurt Ron and will keep us from having a real president.

KT

KT

You didn't get the memo?

If the Republican party doesn't elect Paul as their nominee, they deserve to crash and burn with McCain.

Maybe then in 4 years they'll see the error of their ways, but it may be too late. I think another party needs to step up like the Libertarian party.

There's nothing like oppression to bring an influx of freedom lovers to a party

What a joke!

Where is the video in Denver or U. of Minnesota? Thousands cheering frantically for the Constitution.
New York Times is the Tory enemy.

Thresh

So if he hit it out of the park...

..and he won the text poll, shouldn't Fox be confused about Frank Luntz' group claiming that Dr. Paul did the WORST in the debate?

With A Little Honest Editing

We can use Carl's statement to produce a killer ad.

We should consider thanking Carl Cameron.

Truth is.... Rudy Giuliani's attack on Ron Paul in the first Fox debate put Ron Paul on the map.

Truth is.... The polite and orderly debate moderators did nothing to elevate Ron Paul's visibility.

"PunJab! Bring me my checkbook! We have a war to win!"

"GINO" = Government In Name Only

Sparks get more attention!

And they are much more memorable than a steady discourse! My 10 year old finds Obama too boring to listen to---he talks too slow! No one can ever acuse Ron Paul of talking slowww!

Hahaha, that's right! Poor Ron Paul!

I empathize with him in the debates; his frustration, knowing that he has to respond in a minute or 30 seconds to questions that require complex answers. And what is amazing, is that his answers are great considering the time constraints, and he does it exceedingly well. But in interviews where he is not rushed or interrupted, he speaks much slower and is more relaxed . God bless this man!

INSOLENT AND DESPICABLE CAMERON IS JUST TRYING TO SAVE FACE!

Yes, I'm sure several killer ads are being created as we speak using Carl Cameron's statement. Carl deserves to be fired, be given a good horse whipping, then forced to join the Marines and immediately sent to the front lines in Iraq to accomodate John McCain's insane "100 years war".

Which reminds me of this killer ad:

I have the video Noelle (below) claims doesn't exist

Fox News deleted part of the debate in question only in its immediate re-broadcast of the debate. It happened after they mistakenly repeated most of Romney's early first hour comments during the second hour. I recorded it on my DVR. I'm no tech but if I could figure a way to post it here, I would. I have offered to do it before. But then I'm sure someone would say I doctored the post, so what's the point of going through all that -- if it's even possible?

Apparently Fox got it right in later rebroadcasts. And for the record, Dr Paul's home run answer wasn't the only thing deleted in that first rebroadcast. So were comments by all the others -- but none had the impact of Dr Paul's answer. I went over it with a script in hand which was produced by the State of South Carolina. The screw-up on my recording is obvious when comparing it to the script of the original live debate.

I don't know if Fox News intentionally deleted when they did. It looked to me like it could have been an accident -- someone pushing the wrong button during a rebroadcast very soon after the live event. I worked in broadcasting and running the wrong video would not be a first. The Fox button pusher may have replayed Romney by mistake, then had to take out something later to make that first rebroadcast fit within its allotted time. Intent aside, though, there is no question it was done because I have it recorded on my DVR.

oohh!!

I am getting funny vibes. Seems odd RP mentioned in any news, especially now. HHHHMMMM!!

the same gal who said

"I kinda think Ron Paul" (won the debate) is in the very next video saying she voted for McCain... and it was between McCain and Rudy.

That is the problem right there.

Sad.

There is another thread on Daily Paul from someone that is a writer with purple states and he explained how purple states created characters for each person. So basically this is a created film.
