GOP pressures Huckabee to QUIT

Being reported on CNN today was that the GOP is putting pressure on Huckabeee to QUIT. His reply was that it would be silly for him to do so at this point. McCain is trying to BULLY is way to the nomination. I really looked at Huckabee's latest reply as an EXCELLENT sign for Ron Paul that a brokered convention could very well take place. By his own words, Huckabee said the delagates from Romney were up for grabs with no guarantees of who they would end up supporting.

I am actually proud of Huckabee for standing his ground

I saw him the other night on Hannity (nope I don't watch fox...just flipping channels) and he was not backing down to Hannity.

Huckabee even commented that until there is a DECLARED winner of the 1191 votes he will not quit.
He continued to pound the point that all the other states deserve to get their chance at voting too. I could tell Hannity was not liking anything Huckabee was saying. I have to give it to Huckabee though, b/c he said that b/c of his stance he doesn't see himself being overly embraced by the GOP.

I am not a fan of Huckabee at all ....but I did respect that he is not allowing himself to be bullied.

I am hopeful that this will only help Dr. Paul.

Jesus is the saviour of the WHOLE WORLD, "As in Adam all die, so too in Christ ALL shall be made alive." (ICor.15:22) All means all. The pagan 'hell' of literal fire & eternal torment is a lie and is SPIRITUAL TERRORISM. http://www.hopebeyondhell.net

well put!...and this was what manystrom said...

WHO ON DP THINKS WE ARE GOING TO A BROKERED CONVENTION?
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/38286

Yes
On February 16th, 2008 manystrom says:

We are going all the way to the convention. Neither Paul nor Huck will give in. The nominee will be decided there.

Hang in there everyone!

If Huckabee and Paul take

If Huckabee and Paul take away enough votes in Texas, it's just about all over for McCain. A brokered convention hinges on Texas. Romney delegates and Huckabee delegates are not going to vote for McCain because he's a pro-choice liberal who favors amnesty. Texans will not vote for McCain because of his record on illegal immigration alone.

Huckabee has vowed to stay in the race until somebody gets 1,191 delegates. He called it the, "magic number." He said he will not drop until that number is reached by someone. After McCain loses Texas, it's almost a guarantee nobody reaches that number...and it's off to St. Paul.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

On the news tonight

yes this was on MSM they said that mccain only got about 40 of romneys delegates and the rest would not go. They were left to decide and will be up for grabs in texas.

Stop the NWO....It's just illumi..Naughty !

What? Since when does losing Texas mean McCain cannot get 1191?

Please state exactly how a loss in Texas would doom McCain? I thought McCain wins even if Huckster wins every state remaining?

read my last post

The delegates did not accept the invitation to side with mccain . It is ultimately their choice. Mccain actual delegate totals are much less than they are telling you on the news. It's another ploy.

Geez

I hope he continues to fight strong against the will of the GOP.

The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny. James Madison

Good point

I really do hope then Huckabee stays until the end so we do have a brokered convention!!

Paula

Actually

They're trying to get Huckabee to quit, because it's mathematically impossible for him to win. McCain has the nomination wrapped up. There's a 0% chance of either Huckabee or Paul winning the nomination.

You do not understand the process

Please review what happens at a brokered convention. If after the first vote no one candidate has the 1191, then its all up for grabs. Even a complete unknown at this point could throw their hat in the ring, if the delegates would provide their support.

That is 100% false. In

That is 100% false. In order for John McCain to seal up the nomination outright he needs another 400 committed delegates...

I don't see this happening with the number of races that are coming up under 50% for McCain and the hardcore swiftboating thats going on and will continue to go on.

really?? 0%

What if McCain dies?

lol

lol, Aww you know the luck of people like McCain, he'll probably outlive us all. :P

He already looks like a zombie

But not as much as Henry Paulson.

We want Ron Paul

We want Huckabee to stay in the race long enough to deny McCain the first vote nomination.
With us organizing all of the voting precincts we can still win unless the man I really dislike as much as McCain drops out too early.

Liberty is our campaigns gift to the world it is our manifest destiny.
Freedom is a movement who's time has come. Our campaign will lead world wide freedom.

And don't forget

Mccain is living on a debt now to run his campaign , More paper money.
