A New Kind of Congressional SupermanSubmitted by radmatty on Sat, 02/16/2008 - 18:07
If Ron Paul holds his congressional seat it may be very interesting to see if his presidential campaign supporters and admirers can turn him into a kind of super-delegate to the congress. I'm thinking like the National Rifle Association. Whenever they have a hot issue they mobilize their grassroots and inundate the the House and Senate with calls, faxes and emails which really do seem to have an effect in their favor. I think the Ron Paul movement could be much more effective than the NRA grassroots. We have the tools, the people and the money. I'd like to see a program of specific initiatives aimed at making our world more freedom friendly. The idea of letting private currencies compete with government fiat money is high on my agenda. Getting rid of the income tax is another. And here's my pet project:
The education system is an indispensable part of the system of indoctrinating and "socializing" people to make them into obedient subjects and compliant workers. We need to break the grip of these institutions by requiring that any school, college or university that accepts federal funds be required to let any individual "test out" and receive an equivalency diploma or certificate. I've seen home schooled 10 year-olds that put the typical college undergrad to shame and I know from experience that homeschooling can teach the whole K-12 curriculum in less than half the number of years that most public and private schools require. The education monopoly has got to go!
