Glenn Beck POLL to answer, relevant to Paul's philosophy (2/16)

Glenn Beck is asking "I don't buy the rhetoric from these militant anti-war groups that say they're against the war, but still support the troops. Do you agree or disagree?"

(If you can figure out what it's asking).

Asking the question the way he did, he can say it was answered however he wants to interpret it. He is probably trying to stir us up and get us to charge some energy into his poll. I'm going back to what I was doing before!!

Look who posted this thread . . . . . OMG, it's Noelle - Flag!!!

"Nothing is as it appears; everything is smoke and mirrors"

Trick Question indeed!!

I Disagree is my answer because I support the troops but am against the war. He is asking if you agree with him. I'll bet alot of people got confused. I had to read it several times.

It is a little tricky.

I don't think Dr Paul's

I don't think Dr Paul's message is "anti-war". It's more "anti-undeclared war"

since we are technically ~occupying~ right now.

Besides, you can be all for a strong military without being pro-war... one of the reasons I came into the RP camp.

His difference is that the military should be defending our assets... not occupying some silly country in an attempt to prop up our dollar.

Think borders...lol

It doesn't matter

While I agree the distinction between anti-war and anti-unjust, undeclared war needs to made, it is clear in this context that Beck is referring to a specific "war", the Iraqi-American conflict. It is also clear that while he would like to frame it in a manner that would support his belief that we should be fighting this war, the question asks about militant (committed) anti-war protesters and if they can support the troops. Why let him skew the question by showing the loonies then asking a question which would include our movement? Answer it straight without regard to his manipulation.

I know, I get frustrated

I know, I get frustrated when the media tries to control the topic. If they pre-emptively say Ron Paul is anti-war he appears weak on security. We need to correct them that he is anti-illegal wars.

It's the same with torture, they make the argument about waterboarding, thus taking the attention away from rendition, which is what most Americans are against and which is illegal and horrible.

This is how they attempt to shape and persuade the conversation under the cloak of reporting.

Same thing happens during the debates, If you can control the question you can control the answer.....

Put it into context...

He's talking more about the Berkley anti-war folks, who claim to support the military but oppose the war, only to later oppose the military.

If you don't watch, don't answer.

DISAGREE, the answer is disagree.

WE are one of those militant anti-war groups who also support the troops.

Yep, the answer is DISAGREE

I have not come across militant anti-war people, but I sure do know alot of peaceful anti-war people...and I would imagine that both support the troops.

vote disagree

Jesus is the saviour of the WHOLE WORLD, "As in Adam all die, so too in Christ ALL shall be made alive." (ICor.15:22) All means all. The pagan 'hell' of literal fire & eternal torment is a lie and is SPIRITUAL TERRORISM. http://www.hopebeyondhell.net

What is it I'm suppose to agree with

1 That I agree with him

or that

2 I agree with that they can support the troops while supporting the war

If the question is

If you agree that he doesn't buy it, the answer would still be agree.

WAIT!!! It's a trick

It's a trick question.... it's not asking if you think you can be against the war and support the troops, it's asking if you agree with Glen Beck who thinks the people who are against the war are 'militants'!

I'm still confused by the question. Glenn Beck is not to be trusted.

Thats where I was. I am anti

Thats where I was. I am anti war, but not militant anti war and what does support the troops mean to him? I chose not to answer his silly poll..

I'ma agree

It's just a badly worded question.. although you can certainly be anti-war and pro-military.. we'd rather have the military protecting US is I think the problem. So no trick there really.. just badly worded.

i thought the same thing

so i did not answer the question. it was not clear enough and i did not want to give an answer that would allow gb to verify his position with some online nebulus poll.

I dont think it's a trick

Everything is not a trick or conspiracy. It's simply an awkardly worded question, due to carelessness.
