Ok, has anyone heard this? How do they come up with these figures? It doesn't look too good.

I read it

a little while ago. Was going to post it, but figured it already had been. It made me a little depressed as well. What the hell are people thinking? It seems Paul has support, but not at the caucus' or primaries. Let's hope those delegates are Paul supporters, as I am.

Also we had a good showing of our supporters at

the convention and even McCain speakers recognized us for our excellent campaign and hard work

defeat is never fun, but the fight is not over.

McCain DOES NOT have those delegates

McCain DOES NOT have those delegates, McCain only has committed delegates that he will get on the first vote - Romney's delegates still have to vote for Romney on the first vote.

In Michigan...

I attended the Republican Caucus as a precinct delegate in Lansing last night. Although Ron Paul garnered 13% in my county and 21% in my precinct, there was little support for him at the caucus. Congresswoman Candice Miller referred to the " 2 remaining candidates" and guest speaker, Mrs. Mike Huckabee referred to her hubby as "the only candidate that would close the door on the IRS." At that point, I couldn't take it anymore and had to get in a little heckling.
I can say only one thing about it... The Republican Party is self imploding. The big push among the leadership is getting everyone to unite and support McCain. But, it seemed like a lost cause of going through the motions. There was 1 speaker that adamantly refused to support him for reasons we already know, but when I asked him who he was for, he didn't know ! I spoke to people about Ron Paul, but most were just too caught up in the radical Islamic Boogyman crap. It was like they were trying to justify their support for McCain.
I know that many of the party leaders in my district supported Huck early on and have now switched their support to McCain for "Party Unity". The two candidates are at opposite ends. There was nothing in the form of principles. It's totally a dog and pony show !
I have come to wonder why Ron Paul would have any association with these people. They are truly nothing but blind sheep being freely led to the slaughter.

is there any legal action or what

is there legal action in LA or what?

Is there any hearing dates?

The campaign hired the biggest law firm/lobbyist firm in the state, Adams & Reese to handle our challenge. They spent the bucks for this. I was one of the three signing challengers. We appeared before the state convention credentials committee yesterday and got a fair hearing. We had sympathizers, but the committee was pre-sold that its going to be McCain and we were voted down without objection. We then went to the state convention today with our 8 delegates(since we were robbed) out of 105 and relodged our complaints, it was good and they put everything in the minutes/record. This allows the RP campaign to challenge the process and delegates before the RNC credentials committee and according to RP HQ staff that was there with us, we may get some relief because of the strength of our evidence.

Were there a 105 RP

Were there a 105 RP deletages or 105 convention delgates?

105 convention delegates...only 8 RP...we were robbed by

an extension of the deadline to qualify to be a delegate because we were the only campaign with a full 105 qualified by 01/10/08 deadline so they extended it to 01/12/08 and a bunch of McCain qualified during those 2 days!

They are just guesses and wishes

These are not committed delegates, although I didn't look at the link it is probably a result of giving McCain all of Romney's delegates. This isn't what happens.

I don't care.

I'm not going to vote for McCain. I will, in all likelihood, not even bother to vote.

Write-In

Let us all vote...and write in Ron Paul. That should be our stand.

If Ron Paul Is Not on the Ballot

May I suggest you vote for the Libertarian candidate? I don't know who it will be, but it's better to say what you want (freedom) than to say nothing at all.

No.

I think I'll see a movie instead.

The Simpson's said it best: "Go ahead, throw away your vote: it's a two party system!"

I'm writing him in

or voting Constitution Party. I don't like the Lib's stance on open borders...

The Libs don't agree on Open Borders

Plato was right: I tried it, and ignoring politics doesn't work.

However, rejecting the individual because of the group is called "bigotry." I'd suggest waiting to see what the candidate thinks on the issue.

Libertarians believe in private property, which includes the right to defend it. By extension, many of us believe we have a right to defend the border, although we don't like the government telling us whether we can come and go.

I am happy you agree with me that the Libertarian's position on borders might seem to be endorsed if you vote for him. On the other hand, it might be seen as a vote for Liberty.

Besides, the border issue will be decided by Congress, not the president.

I am

That's what I had planned to do myself personally if Ron Paul isn't the candidate. Unless Ron Paul's campaign or someone on the forums comes up with a better 3rd party to vote for. If McCain gets the nomination, I'm going to be pretty depressed though. A lot of conservatives will be.
