This piece says that 32 of 47 will support McInsane
Does anyone know better?
all delegates. We're going to need it for plane tickets, food and accomodation. Just have them ready for the convention.
"He who exercises government by means of his virtue may be compared to the north polar star, which keeps its place and all the stars turn towards it." Confucius
but it keeps getting buried.
My father just called and told me a story and informed me that I would be thrilled by it. He was right :)
He said he was listening to talk radio in Orlando, FL. He couldn't remember which program. He thought it may have been Rush. He said that they were discussing delegates and that a man called in and said that he had a friend that was a delegate. When they were choosing delegates the people there said, "You're voting for McCain, right?" the man said, "yes, that's right." But what he didn't tell him was that there was an underground movement to break camp and vote for Ron Paul.
My dad said that the radio announcer told the man that "that was crazy" and that if that happened he would take the guy ice skating on some lake in Orlando and promptly hung up on the caller.
Just thought that I would let you guys know that maybe all is not what it appears to be.
Whether it's true or not, if the delegates think it's true, they may see it as a possibility.
This will have two effects: it will put fear into the McCain camp and they'll arm-twist for support. That will cause blowback (local people don't like to be told how to vote), and if McCain does anything to cause doubt about him as a candidate (what are the odds?), it softens them up to take a look at Ron Paul.
We need a nucleus of support for Ron Paul at the convention, as big as possible, and not just inside, but outside. I haven't checked, but it may be possible to go even if you are not a delegate.
What do you think? http://consequeries.com/
That is the job of the sheep. Like waiting at the troth.
Our job is to creatively spread the word of this Revolution and recruit new members. The Dr. will be speaking at the convention no matter what! Nooone can figure this delegate thing out and that is a fact. We do our job and the Dr. does his..
Does my burka make my butt look fatwa?
That we've put a lot of work into gaining an influential foothold in the delegate process and it would be a crime if we'd come this far and suddenly dropped the ball. If a lot of these posters are right (and I believe they are) then we have a major force of delegates primed to go to the convention and whip up a major storm of support that could swing the nomination to Dr Paul. If we have that in place and we just let it fizzle out now, then we'll have squandered the last chance this country has to avoid the next depression.

Live Free or Die - Amen to that (too)
What worries me about this is that this is the battle that it has seemed that we're winning. The actual delgates going to the convention. And these are two states where we were supposedly strong.
Is this story a bunch of crap or did we have Louisiana stolen by an organised intervention from the McCain camp? Can we get word from any of the on-the-ground delegates that have been selected to the convention from Louisiana and Michigan?
I worry that the Paul presidential campaign has pulled back too far to fight for Texas. There could be token efforts made in the remaining states and there could be a more of a push to secure the state delegate positions which move on to the convention. People are losing heart and that enthusiasm that has fuelled every step of this race seems to be waning.
Does anybody here have the ear of the official campaign staff? We can't drop the ball now.
In less than 30 days, the Texas races will be over, with months still to go until September and the convention.
By campaigning for his congressional seat, he is generating publicity for his presidential race, too. Voters will go to the voting booth, some of them will vote for him twice. There should be a fair amount of spillover.
It demonstrates, too, how he takes his responsibility to his district seriously.
Could we be incognito?
