Freedom -O-Thon 2008 Washington D.C.

Having observed the comments here at Daily Paul and other Ron Paul forums and blogs, it appears that there are two issues that we need to deal with regarding the march on Washington. The two issues are "Time" and "Money."

Many people want to attend the march but the date of the march may be a problem for them. Others have no schedule or time conflict rather, they have a financial issue. So the solution it seems to me is to have a Freedom-O-Thon. Like a tele-thon but better!

I believe we should print up a sponsor sheet. Those who want to attend but have a "Time" or schedule conflict can sponsor someone that does have the time but does not have the money.

Twenty-five sponsors donating $10 each to someone to go and represent them at the march would cover the cost of the trip for the cash-strapped folks who have the time to attend the march.

Those that have money but no time can sponsor someone to go and represent them in D.C. so their voice is heard.

Imagine if 50,000 or 100,000 people show up with petitions full of signatures to hand deliver to Dr. Paul at the march. Dr. Paul could then show these petitions to his associates in congress. We could also mail copies to all the press. This way everyone that wants to be represented can be and those that want to go to the march can acquire the funds to do so.

Just an idea...okay, go ahead and blast me! lol.

P.S. To the person who mentioned on another thread the "Vote For Ron Paul Get A Free Country" Bumper Sticker, Yes I am the person that created that and Yes I do offer that design on T Shirts as well. You can find it at my cafepress store. (Sorry about the shameless plug, just responding to the question)

I am honored to be standing shoulder to shoulder with all of you. As long as we stick together...we will prevail. I wil be in D.C. and I will have my pitchfork (or at least a prop pitchfork) I'm out. Mike A in the Natti

Freedom-O-Thon.

Yes, my idea is that each individual that wants to attend could create a sign up sheet...petition to be represented in D.C. And if someone wanted tp go but could not for whatever reason, they could donate a few bucks to sponsor the person that could go. But your point is well taken.

You can go directly to my cafepress store the url is cafepressdotcom/ronpaul08gear ( I believe you will find the Free Country products in the "Funny Stuff" category. Thank You, Mike A

The (very clever!) bumper sticker:

I disagree, respectfully.

I disagree, the less money floating around the better, this is too dangerous from an accountability point of view, send money to Ron Paul and no-one else.

OUTSTANDING IDEA

I would throw at least $200 to folks who could represent me there. It will be hard for me to make time, but I can donate money.

Great idea!

Push it!
