I NEED HELP CAUSING A RUCKUS. RP SHOULD HAVE 48 DELEGATES FROM LOUISIANA AND WE CAN’T JUST ROLL OVER AND DO NOTHING. PLEASE CONTACT THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE - NEED YOUR HELP
I was an alternate delegate at the Louisiana GOP caucus (not elected) and went to the recent State GOP Convention held Saturday on 2/16/08. We need to expose the LAGOP for blatantly stealing 48 delegates from Ron Paul and disregarding the results of the caucus. This could be a pivotal point in the outcome of the GOP nomination.
Because we are dealing with a party the attorney for RP indicated a lawsuit was unlikely. However, he did indicate the Republican National Committee has oversight. There is a last ditch effort that can be made to the Republican National Committee regarding the infractions that the LAGOP have done and possibly overturn the results. However, they will not do anything unless we cause a ruckus and give them some "bad" press. Below are the addresses, phone numbers, and email for the Republican National Committee and Governor of Louisiana Bobby Jindal (Jindal was added because he is member of the LAGOP and just released a new reform on ethics).
PLEASE CONTACT BOTH OFFICES REQUESTING THAT A FAIR AND ACCURATE VOTE COUNT BE CONDUCTED FOR THE LAGOP CAUCUS.

It would be beneficial to explain how you feel disenfranchised from the party directly because of the Louisiana caucus, that the LAGOP should be setting an example of ethics, that any national presidential campaign that has questions regarding an accurate vote count should be able to get timely answers, that manipulating the outcome is corrupt, and that the younger voters are being turned off by the party and potentially going elsewhere.
There have been numerous posts concerning the LA Caucus and for brevity the major issue is regarding the "provisional" votes cast at the caucus. To vote in the republican caucus you had to be registered as a republican by Nov. 30, 2007. At the caucus the LAGOP used old voting records that showed many might not have met this requirement so their vote was cast as provisional. There are 650 provisional votes that the LAGOP will not release to Ron Paul's campaign to verify the numbers. Everyone that participated believes that we won ALL or at least the majority of delegates for Ron Paul if the provisional ballots are counted correctly. The LAGOP was even caught in a lie regarding the Baton Rouge District. They indicated they were checking 69 provisional votes in that District with the voter registration office. The voter registration office was contacted and indicated only 40 voter's records were being checked.
There are two other issues regarding the caucus: 1) notification of the Nov 30th deadline to become a republican and participate in the caucus was not provided 2.) When the LAGOP received a full slate of RP delegates by the deadline, they arbitrarily extended the deadline so they could submit their slate of delegates. If the deadline was not changed they would not have had enough delegates and RP would have won.
GO GET UM and THANKS (if you do contact the RNC, please post a comment indicating it was done so we can get a count and keep it going)

For my neighbors in Louisiana
Y'all fought the good fight....Ya just got cheated. This is our chance to give you a little back-up.
We in Texas are so proud of the work you did and that you continue to do for the Revolution. Keep fighting, keep pushing, keep the faith.
Here's the email I just sent to the GOP:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I keep hearing from friends & family in Louisiana that there are some serious ethical/procedural questions regarding the primary caucuses that were held in that state.
Please ensure that this is fully investigated by our party.
A number of young people were involved in this caucus process for the very first time and were completely disgusted by the the state GOP's handling of their caucus process. The New York Times recently published an article about our party being for the "old white people" and it would be unfortunate if we prove the NYT correct.
Our party is dying for lack of young, enthusiastic members. Please do not let the Louisiana GOP alienate these young voters with underhanded dealings.
I await your response outlining your plan to address these concerns.
Excellent letter - it does
Excellent letter - it does appear to be a concern with the GOP (losing the young voters) and when the youth see the process is corrupt they will not support the republican party. Lets slam dunk the RNC with comments - our eyes are on them and they can no longer sweep issues under the rug and preordain McCain.
I'm calling too and I must rant......
There's nothing worse than "church-going", self-imporant, sychopant, southern shitcreeker playing politician that would bend over for their own personal gain, which comes from the National Party via screwing Ron Paul. I'm from the South and this is the story of the South these days. Those in power are the MOST unethical and worthless in the USA and possibly a lot of the world because they are total hypocrites. Anyone that would do this to Ron Paul is a servant of the devil, plain and simple and after they cheated RP out of his delegates they probably went to prayer meeting.
And sadly, most of the rest of the Southern people are totally apathetic. It's ironic that southerner's think they are best when in fact they are the worst! I thought the same thing and when I moved to California: I thought that LA would be Sodom/Gomorrah and that I was somehow superior. Guess what? It wasn't and I wasn't. The people there are generally really good or really bad (aholes); and they don't engage in nearly as much malicious gossip. In the South people are middle of road with a few really good people and a few really bad. Also, everyone is the South is screwing everyone (fornication / adultery) and thereby they don't take Christianity seriously. In California, if you go to church, you take it serious and do it; not just talk it.
The South is just over and done with. Can God's judgement be far away? Repent!
I'm with you

Thanks - sorry to try and keep this bumped but if we do not do anything the LAGOP gets away with it and we lose delegates that we won. Imagine1000 emails regarding the LA GOP caucus - it does make an impact. The best part of all this was not only Ron Paul, but realizing we have not been alone - we have each other and will prevail. Thanks, please contact the Republican National Committee.

I have written the
letters and will me mailing them out tomorrow! Thanx for the info!
FYI: I also think that we should all copy these letters to local Baton Rouge newspapers and see if we can get one published. We have to get people to pay attention...
Did it!
Dear Mr. Jindal,
I first of all want to say that I watched your inauguration speech on CSPAN, and I was moved. Very good stuff! Your strong sense of ethics and belief in a moral code shone through, and many of us around the country who pay close attention to politics are looking toward people like yourself to help guide our nation back to a more open and honorable political system.
I am writing today about the issue of the vote count for the GOP primary in your state. Needless to say, as a GOP member I am quite worried about any alleged instances of vote fraud or other such shenanigans, particularly after the beatings we took in the press following the 2000 and '04 elections. Please do whatever you can to help ensure that ALL of the provisional ballots are properly counted and that a fair and just outcome is reached for ALL candidates.
With all of the bad news that seems to be swirling around our party, and with a "presumptive nominee" for president who doesn't exactly fit the bill of what many of us would like to see in our nominee, I am beginning to feel disenfranchised from my own party. I would like to know that I can remain a proud GOP member who can look forward to the coming national convention thanks to the efforts of good people like yourself.

I write letters, editorials, emails and whatever anyone asks me to do.
I now consider this my "full time job" as I have been wanting a way to give back to society - but never knew about all this until I first heard and researched Ron Paul.

Louisiana needs another Huey Long
I feel the states that used to have a shred of independent thinking 60 years ago no longer have that way of life.
Montana, etc are last gasps of individualism
I ran as a delegate and I was cheated!
Freedom is not FREE!!
Sorry folks but My home state of Louisiana stinks and as soon as I can I will move. My wife and I make a good living but are not allowed to live. Politics as usual. Decided today to buy a rifle instead of voting. The mountains are sounding better and better all the time. Educate my young, Live life as it should be and screw the BAYOU!
Not really! This has pissed me off enough to find a way to eliminate the current LAGOP. With enough help maybe Louisiana will become the true FREE STATE. Seriously, We will need all of your help and I intend to start making things uncomfortable for the powers that be as soon as possible. Those of you from LA can contact me through this site and we will get started from here. It is time to Screw the Bastards. Sorry for the language but I calle'm as I seeu'm.

New Governor
Our newly elected governer, Bobby Jindal, has been all over the state touting ethics reforms. I have faith in him so far, but we need to contact his office as well and suggest politely, yet sternly that he should look into the practices of his own party and the fiasco that was the LA GOP Presidential Delegation process. Otherwise his attempts at his so-called "War on Corruption" in LA politics will be in vain and pointless.
GOP and LA
I wrote to the GOP and told them that I would withdraw from the GOP and not vote nor contribute to them again, if they could not assure Dr. Paul and all Republican candidates on the ballots that their votes are counted properly and delegates are assigned accordingly.
Hope they realize that there will be a mass exodus from the GOP unless they start treating each GOP candidate equally and each GOP voter that their vote is important and will be counted and delegates will assigned as required.
They are messing up big time right now.
Thanks
Can you imagine if the Republican National Committee (RNC) gets thousands of emails. It would have an imapct. The LA GOP are trying to sweep what they have done under the rug. Please try and keep this posted and send you comments to the RNC

Raising a Ruckus
You've certainly chosen the best route for Louisiana RP supporters.
National RP supporters might also consider carefully worded "hit" pieces in Louisiana media sources (Newspaper Letters to the Editor, etc.). These "hit" pieces should be carefully worded to suggest what happened is tied to "Louisiana" political corruption. This puts pressure on the state GOP to clean up their act or risk embarrassing the entire state. As Ronald Reagan said, "If you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat."
What you need to do is get
What you need to do is get enough people to show up and over rule the motion that passed.
Is there another caucus this month or next month?
The only way to stop them is to OUT VOTE THIER RULINGS.
Have the meetup groups not been in contact with people that understand the process? What the Hell is going on in LA.

Well, don't just do something -
SIT THERE!!!
I live here in Lousiana and I have expressed my concerns, but the other voices need to heard as well. Please act NOW. You know what to do. Now commence the operation.
"There is one great thing that you men will all be able to say after this war is over and you are home once again. You may be thankful that twenty years from now when you are sitting by the fireplace with your grandson on your knee and he asks you what you did in the great World War II, you WON'T have to cough, shift him to the other knee and say, "Well, your Grand-daddy shoveled shit in Louisiana." ~ Gen. Thanks for posting and
Thanks for posting and contacting. The LA GOP did recognize the enthusiasm from the young Ron Paul supporters and even commented that if their candidate does not get elected they should vote for McCain. They commented that they need young republican voters with the same conservative values. So what did the LA GOP show the young - your vote does not count - we own the party - we'll do as we see fit.
For the record, HQ did do a lot of work. They hired a local law firm to make the argument before the committee on Friday. However, the committee was made up of the "illegal" delegates. One of the comments was that "we would be voting ourselves off as delegates and we can't do that". Also, a member told me they had to support McCain since they wanted a direct line to the White Office. If they did not support McCain and he became president they would lose some of their influence.
Will Do
I will make sure and write them today. One of the things that I will propose is that I will leave my affiliation with the GOP. Had this happened with McCain, the MSM would be screaming like a virgin in a whore house.
