The thing is

Fortune Favors the Bold

Those who just think its a good idea... why aren't they talking about it?
I mean why aren't they saying, "hey guys, we should all have a North American Union and here's why!"
Well, to be fair, I guess Robert Pastor and to a lesser extent Vincente Foc have been talking about it, but when some one tries to keep something quiet it's sensible to doubt the altruism of their intentions.

Fortune Favors the Bold

This will complete the project.

Before he launched his hugely successful blitzkrieg Hitler had the autobahn built so German troops could get to hot-spots quickly. This will be the final phase for the Pan-American highway that will traverse from Canada to Chile.

This is a further attempt by our greatest enemy, the UN, to overthrow the United States government. Keep fighting Texas and let your fellow Americans know if you need help. This is the #1 reason the several states became the United States of America: for protection in war.

God bless Texas!

Fact Check.org

Should receive a copy of this video as they wrote an article basically saying Dr. Paul was dreaming when he speaks about a NAFTA superhighway and that it does not exist.
Also all preceinct leaders in States that had primaries and caucuses should be calling into Texas and inform them of Dr. Pauls' position on the superhighway. If you login there is a button for identifying voters in other states.
Does anyone know what McCain has said about the NAFTA superhighway?

I would just become a partisan issue.

One party would support it and the other would not and the sheeple will be misled by blindly following party lines. Of course, in the name of bi-partisan cooperation, all the representatives in the middle would be for it , be it the progressives, moderates, centrists, or neo-cons.

And Giuliani is..

the king of Spain's lawyer

The Trans Texas Corridor ain't gonna happen!

I have family in the way of that highway and it gonna happen without a fight!
"It does not take a majority to prevail ... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"The use of 'Conspiracy Theorist' or 'Truther' as a derogatory -- as an epithet almost -- is something the propagandists have perfected over the decades, and it's a useful tool for eliminating articulate dissent."

I will come to help your family

Just tell us what we can do to help. We have family in Houston and will not allow this to happen to our country. I currently live in the 3rd world part of California, it's called Bakersfield, Ca. I am so sick of seeing the destruction of our country. All you have to do is make a post and I along with several of our family members will be there to help your family members from being stomped on by this stupid Texas Corridor. Seriously, all you have to do is post here and we will be more than glad to come help.

God Bless America, God Bless our People, God Bless Ron Paul, and dear Lord help us keep our Country!

Tess

Don't you see what this really is?

Its an invitation. Lou didn't say "none" of the candidates. He said most are trying to avoid it. They show footage of the rallies, and in the middle que up Ron and announce him as a presidential candidate.

Take of advantage of what was just laid at your feet. A huge number of Texans are against NAU/TTC, and Ron's the only one talking about it! Talk about leverage. For god sakes, McCain was just making fun of it in The New Yorker. Use it against him. Make a flier with a link to the article. http://people.ronpaul2008.com/campaign-updates/2008/02/18/th...

1) Couple the Lou video with his answer in the CNN/YouTube debate. Go viral on the net, and canvass your precincts in Texas with a DVD containing only those two videos; perhaps a slim-jim and the McCain flier. People WILL look for more information on their own. Call your precinct within a few days of canvassing. Identify the voters and turn them out!

2) Search for support at these anti-TTC rallies. Thousands of really pissed off Texans. Need I say more... Be there. Pass out the same DVD's you made for canvassing, and the McCain flier. Ask for their name and email so you can send them more information. Hell... Take a sign-up sheet.

Side Note: What is going on with the soldier's rally outside of Ft. Hood? I hope we are there, and I hope Ron decides to make an appearance. Considering the Q4 numbers already covered by the media, this may translate into a decent "interest" piece

NAU

We also need to make sure people understand that our opposition to the NAU is not against any real legislation that has occurred.

And that the people who want the NAU are not necessarily evil, or scheming. Most advocates of the NAU are supporting it from a "it would be nice if everyone got along and could forge common bonds through commond government" perspective. Perhaps there are some people who intend on using NAU as a mechanism to concentrate power for themselves, but I think the notion that all (or even most of them) are is doubtful, especially considering that one can see how the idea of an NAU stems from a philosophy that is in some ways admirable.

Admirable though it may be, it is also completely wrong.

The reason why we are against NAU is because we are for small government. Government power should be in inverse relation to the number of people over which it has jurisdiction. That is because you as a free individual have more sway over smaller localized government, so giving local government more power is not as objectionable -- if it makes a misstep and encroaches too much on liberty, it is more reversible, less entrenched, and more responsive.

So why create power for a nonexistent and unnecessary entity which is less responsive to the people by virtue of the fact that it presides over more?

Thank you...

Thank you for your sane response.

Does no one think this NAFTA

Does no one think this NAFTA highway thing is pie in the sky. The more word gets out and the more I read here and other places the more I understand the urgency to spread the word. But don't you think that once word really gets out it will be stopped. I mean if a whole entire town or city is being effected, don't you think that town or city will simply protest and stand in the way. This is what I believe would qualify as hitting my front door. You gonna kick me out of my house and not just me but my entire neighborhood and not for a local or regional or even national agenda...no, for an international agenda. You don't have to be anybody but an average American to hate this. Hell, I'll travel to the construction site and dedicate all my energy to literally stopping it.

What sucks about NAFTA superhighway

Is that people keep saying there are no plans to build a "NAFTA superhighway" as though it were a proper noun (that's with a capital capital N).

Well, duh. Nobody in their right mind would literally call such a highway the "NAFTA superhighway"

The NAFTA superhighway is an informal term for a concept, that non-bureaucrats use. It doesn't matter if it's called the Ronald Reagan National Transit Corridor or the World War II Memorial Highway.

While I-35 existed before NAFTA and is effectively a superhighway, carrying intercontinental traffic, I-69 *is* being built for the primary purpose of shuttling goods across the continent.

Anyways, we need to keep hammering that concept in. That it's not a proper noun. It's an idea.

Well, I don't think I-35 is

Well, I don't think I-35 is a problem. I mean part of me has some problem with the national highway system but I don't think 35 is a problem in the terms were talking. The national highway system has north south arteries across the country as I'm sure you know. I like having I-95 to drive to Florida and back up. It's simple. Isn't the problem with the NAFTA thing the enormity of it and focus on border crossing.

What really bugs me

What really bugs me about the "NAFTA Superhighway" is that it'll be a toll road owned (for the most part) by the King of Spain!

Imagine, paying a foreign ruler for the privilege of driving through Texas!!!

Lou Dobbs sucks

If he really gave a damn he would actually have brought Ron Paul on his show as a guest. But he never mentions him, never utters his name he is a faker.
He pretends to give a damn but when it comes to giving attention to the only person running for president that actually favors most everything that Lou complains about he does not. Lou Dobbs favors National ID cards by the way. Ron Paul does not. LOU DOBBS YOU SUCK!

Lou Dobbs,

Has a poll on his website:
"Do you believe the presidential candidates in both parties should be required to take a position on the North American Union and the NAFTA Superhighway?"

The majority (and I)has/have voted yes, but then I was thinking that it really does not matter if they address this because:
1. They will lie*
2. It's not like they will be held accountable*....
(Sigh)
*Excluding the good Dr.

Here it is!!!!!!!!

Some one just posted it!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the Link ! Us Texans Don't Like This a Bit!

We in Texas don't like this one bit! Our "wonderful" governor (Rick Perry) is in on all of this and doesn't particularly care what the people want - as we already know. I hope and pray all of this can somehow be stopped before it grows much more than it already has.

The video I saw in the past day or two about the "Hub" in the Kansas City area is showing another phase of this.

I think these "phases" will eventually all be joined together and before we all know it, the "Super Highway" will already be from Mexico to Canada - and at that point there will be nothing we can do about it.

Hopefully people throughout the country will continue to go to these meetings to oppose this and it may at least be slowed down and possibly stopped.

Then you better start supporting

Ron Paul with a fury.

Thanks Fur YouTube

I had cnn (cin) on, I blinked 'n I missed it....I see why now.

More Good News

It really doesn't matter whether he mentions Ron Paul. ALL the delegates at the convention will know who Ron Paul is, and if they've seen these types of news stories, i.e., news stories that substantiate what Ron Paul has been saying all along (whether the Superhighway, or the devaluation of the dollar, or the collapse of Social Security), then he will seem quite reasonable.

No one will be able to call him a kook without risking calling delegates kooks for believing these news stories.

It's all good.

I don't think

Fortune Favors the Bold

Lou dobbs is allowd to endorse anyone. Contract thing. Like I've said before, just because people don't agree with us on everything doesn't necessarily mean they are a shill. I saw the segment, it was very good. Boy, there sure are alot of conspiracy theorists on CNN and in Texas!:)

Fortune Favors the Bold

Do you think CFR and their agenda about NAU is good for USA?

Plesae answer honestly. A yes/no response with an explanation will be really helping in the discussion.

Hope to hear soon.

Hate povery, not the poor - Gandhi

Hate povery, not the poor - Gandhi

CTs?

Not sure what you're referencing......The TTC is not a conspiracy theory.

TxDOT has posted a map on their website of the I-69 component proposal. It runs RIGHT THROUGH MY FARM.

That's no conspiracy.

We've never voted on this thing.....That's no conspiracy.

So what's your point, exactly?

Is there a Youtube of this?

link ? Appreciation in advance! :)

"Many of us agree that you and I have no right to use coercion against people who don't owe us anything. The same prohibition applies to groups of people who constitute the government. The reason is simple: unjust acts do not become just when legalized."

Lou Dobbs transcripts

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/ldt.html

Tonight's is not yet included.

I'm sure someone will post a YouTube of the very short statement that Ron Paul was allowed to make.

Lou Dobbs supports Read ID

When I heard those segments, I realized that Lou Dobbs is likely just another shill.

I even wrote him, when he was announcing all the "Lou Dobbs Independents" who had renounced the two parties. Was that so they *couldn't* vote for Ron Paul in any closed primaries?

Lou has *definitely* not mentioned Ron Paul. I thought this might have been an actual "set-up" to talk about the "NAU conspiracy".

As everyone has noted, Lou Dobbs didn't even mention Ron Paul being on the program. Were we suckered to increase viewers (as documented by the poll)?

Regarding NAFTA superhighway, Canamex highway, NAU, etc., please see my several posts with many, many links in this thread:

Listen people,

We don't know what certain media personalities are up against when it comes to speaking their mind, but in my opinion Lou Dobbs and Keith Olberman are cowards for not wholeheartedly endorsing Ron Paul. Ron Paul is the only candidate whose long held positions mirror that of Lou and Keith. They constantly rail against what's wrong with country and won't support the only person who would make a difference. They are cowards and they should be called out at such. We no longer have the luxury of waiting for people to come around. Let's call em out on the carpet. No half hearted side handed mentions of Ron Paul will do.

I'm getting off my soapbox now.

Amen

I agree bro, they DON'T EVEN MENTION HIM, look at Wolf Blitzer, He has been fair, thought the pressure that was put on by his employer, was big as we know
