Ron Paul should SEIZE this opportunity
Nobody, but nobody in Texas is for the Nafta Superhighway. Right? Only one candidate in the hunt (however slight) is unequivicably denouncing the project. A well oiled campaign would make their candidate the "champion" of the cause to kill the nafta project. I couldn't think of a better opportunity for the Paul campaign to stand out on such a passionate TEXAS issue. I don't think there is a newspaper in Texas that would not publish a scathing denouncement of the Nafta Project by Ron Paul. I mean a scathing, as in blistering, as in not only NO, but Hell No. Can you see the headline?
As President, Ron Paul not only says No to Nafta Highway, he says Hell No!
I doubt his campaign staff knows what to do with this opportunity, though.

That is exactly what the campaign should do! But rather than wait for them to do it, why don't the Ron Paul meetup groups in Texas have a big anti-Nafta Highway event?

Another interesting fact not mentioned in the package is that Rudy guiliani's lawfirm is representing the texas DOT and backing the highway.

I-69 NAFTA Highway
The upper/ending tier of the Interstate 69 NAFTA Highway is already up and running, folks. It is right here in my backyard in Fort Wayne. It runs from North Indianapolis to Port Huron, MI. Look at your US Atlas. The sothward expansion has already started too.
Truckers have known this and have been raising hell about it for years (I drove coast to coast long-haul for 18+ years, with 3 million miles under my belt). If you want to know something about what's going on across this country, economics of moving freight, fuel prices, what industries are up or down, border issues, port issues, security issues, unfair law enforcement, hazardous materials, etc, etc,...Get a room full of Truckers together, you'll get an education. I myself have stories that most people would not believe.

If Texans can't see how Ron Paul is worthy of a vote after seeing this, I don't know what else can persuade them. My favorite part of that? The "This is not a scientific poll" disclaimer. Because, ya know, the tally might be +/- a few points...

of the sample used. The sample isn't randomly determined individuals who make up a cross section of the general population. The sample is people who watch this program and visit this website.
Given the audience, I would of thought that poll would have at least 99% voting yes.
And for the record, I didn't vote in the poll, but I agree with the results.
I could've told you the results of that...
poll without even seeing it. All the people that went to the Town Hall meetings on the subject opposed it... ALL OF THEM.

This is why the poll is not scientific and why special interests can run the country.
It is the people who care the most who get active. Unfortunately, sometimes they just get run over (eminent domain) because the government picks them off one-by-one, avoiding protests of any size.
But when you threaten them all at once, they organize.
This is why we MUST defend FREEDOM everywhere! Even if goverment is not coming after us this time, it may be next time. That means supporting organizations like DownsizeDC or refusing to join AARP (they lobby for socialism).
