Found In A Pool of Blood
A Shreveport police officer has been fired after an incident in which a female prisoner taken into custody on suspicion of DWI wound up lying on a floor at the police station in a pool of blood.
Much of what happened was recorded on a videotape -- but there is a gap of undetermined length. During that time, the woman wound up injured. She said she was beaten up; the officer said she fell.
You can tell that he was slamming her against the walls and she probaly fell and smacked her head. He had to punch her too becuase the black eyes wouldnt be caused by a flat surface. I will never allow a cop to put me in handcuffs after the last few incidents. They like to shackle you up and beat on your defenseless body.
You will see a rise in off duty officers being injured. The people you beat on will retaliate wether thru courts or old school eye for eye justice. The police will have to watch their backs from now on. We will not allow women and children to be assaulted by crooked law enforcement. Its time to hit back.

JUSTICE WOULD BE
LIKE ANY SEX OFFENDER
HE SHOULD BE PUT ON A LIST CALLED : POLICE BRUTALITY
HE SHOULD BE TRACKED. PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW WHERE HE IS WORKING.
HE SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE ANY CRIMINAL!
THANK YOU FOR KEEPING ON THIS CRIME! I READ ABOUT IT AND BECAME COMPLETELY ALARMED. HERE IN New York:
A coworker from Rockaway told me of a story: basically if you try and speak to an officer they see it as resisting an officer. The 5 foot women was cuffed, thrown in jail and the officers REMOVED HER CLOTHS. SHE WAS NAKED IN JAIL AND CUFFED. THEY DEGRADED HER.
WHEN DID OUR POLICE FORCE GET ORDERS TO TREAT CITIZENS LIKE ANIMALS TO BE DEGRADED AND BEATEN?

I've always been treated well. But it is wise to watch......
I have made my family & friends watch this several times so they know what to do.

I have several friends who are cops. Their biggest problem is they always see the worst people and suspect we are all nuts. So they hang together, drink together, stay away from us.
But then they are trained that way too.
Also they recruit people who like the power.
But I must say I've met some of the nicest people who really do care and know you aren't the bad guy. Just don't get smartass!
My fear is they don't pay good and recruit from the military. Those guys and gals are coming back from Iraq severely damaged. Used to firing on civilians etc.
We can expect a crueler police force because of this for decades!
Anyway, do yourself a favor and watch the movie.
Then realize that only the constitution is, only just, stopping us being a police state.

Coming soon...
If communities in the US continue to tolerate, encourage, and then overlook police abuse, we can get a sense for what is coming to us and our children. If nothing else, it's a sad commentary on the relationship between the people and government in many parts of the world, and a sadder commentary on the quick subordination of basic human decency when agents of the state are given both opportunity and incentive:

Liberty for Dummies
I am infuriated
What exactly did this woman do ?
How come she was not allowed to make a simple phone call ?
What threat did she pose ?
Why did the officer, turn off the camera ?
I sure hope this woman hires the best damn attorney she can find and sue the HELL out of the city, and the officer.
That officer is a criminal with a badge. He brutally attacked this woman. It would surprise me if he has done this before.
Where is this woman's father, husband or boy friend ? someone needs to come to this girl's defense.
Aren't you all mad as HELL !!
Two black eyes from a flat surface is possible
When your nose gets broken, the bleeding pools around your eye sockets. The lack of swelling and symmetry of the discoloration around the woman's eyes leads me conclude that that aspect of her discoloration was entirely due to an impact to the nose or a serious contusion just above that area.
A single fall doesn't account for the other bruising on her face, however. Her general demeanor didn't show the lack of control that would be necessary to account for a fall that devastating, even when handcuffed. (Yeah, I know, no one's disputing that the cop beat her up, but I threw in the comment about how most (not all) of the discoloration could have been from a single impact so I had to go on to state the obvious just so no one accuses me of taking the cop's side.)
Defend Liberty!
A lot of people are concerned...
... about misdirecting our discontent towards all of the good people who serve in law enforcement who don't deserve to be blamed for the disgraceful actions a few "bad apples."
But I ask...
Where are all of those good people?
Where are they when their buddies are beating up defenseless people and accusing the innocent of crimes which were never commited?
What do they do when they hear their co-workers brag about what they have done?
What do all of these good people do when they are told to violate the Constitution by their superiors?
They sure as hell don't ever tell us about it.
The actions of a small few
The disgusting actions of a small few can not be compared to the actions of the larger group of the law abiding and professionals. I have seen a lot of law enforcement/ military hating on different sites lately, and I just thought I'd remind all of you that there are quite of a few state, local, and federal law enforcment officers and military professionals who believe in the freedom movement and restoring the republic, me being one of them.
It's often said in the police community that "everyone hates a cop, until they need one." Most law enforcement officials are just doing their everyday jobs and uphold the laws of the states and municipalities that we reside in ourselves. After all we live in the community too. And many of us military members, although we may not always agree with policy, are just trying to serve honorably for a our nation and its ideals.
So I ask, please show some respect for those of us who do our job legitimatly. The atrocious actions of a few can never be excused. But realize that there is a vast majority of cops and military men and women who are doing their jobs with honor everyday, many of whom love liberty, to serve and protect.
you don't get it...
when the job itself requires you to violate peoples constitutional rights (enforcing unconstitutional laws) then doing the job makes you part of the problem!
Just doing the job
A few points:
My concern is that the jobs cops are asked to do moves from the lawful, to that desired by those in power, to the entirely intimidating and unlawful. Will good officers like yourself walk away from their position rather than continue their "duties" as their mission shifts? As we see tasers as devices of fear and torture, the paramilitarization of many police departments, and daily cases of outright abuse by officers, it's hard to keep the public trust:

As an officer of the law, I would be particularly concerned with replacement of your function in the years to come by private organizations (like Blackwater), much as we saw previewed in New Orleans. I would also ask your union to try to get a cash buyout that you can actually invest yourself for future retirement benefits. The economic circumstances facing many communities may make the promises made to you untenable for your city or town to keep. Please see this example, sure to be a start of many similar stories in the months to come:

Agreed.
We hate it when RP supporters are stereotyped and we shouldn't do the same to police. The vast majority of police are just doing there jobs and not going out of their way to illegally mess with people.
Another thing to consider, in my opinion, is the culture of violence that exists throughout our society. We are simply awash in guns, up to our necks in fantastical violent "entertainment", perpetuate a judicial and penal system that tolerates it, give complete support to a military machine, and are witness to wholesale domestic violence. We should not be surprised if violence is a tool of our police system. It would be shocking if it were not true. Police are as immersed in this mess as we are.
The comments below advocating violence simply reinforce my observations.
h-daddy
The vast majority of police
participate in, and even enjoy, circling the wagons when one of them does something wrong. Protecting or enjoying others' abuse of authority makes a cop a bad cop, in my mind. You can't trust sadists or cowards with authority over the public.
With all do respect...
I am a former Army Paratrooper...Please do not try an equate cops with soldiers. How come the "good cops" never say a word about the bad apples? You-Tube is full of videos showing cops violating the rights of citizens. I watched a cop handcuff a skinny young kid to a police car and then beat him with his stick...the kid was not attempting to resist at all. His crime...skateboarding in a vacant lot. My view of cops is that if they weren't cops...thay would be working the drive-up window at Burger King. Cops lost my respect a long time ago. I would say that 90% of the cops in the country would wash out in days from the military...most cops I see are fat and woefully out of shape. They would not last a day in the military. And, if they copped an attitude with the average paratrooper...they would suffer an severe ass whipping. That is why they are cops and not soldiers.
Fascist Shift
I see this as a systemic problem, not one in which prosecution of so-called rogue cops is sufficient to address the underlying issue.
The neighborhood policing of decades ago has largely been replaced with paramilitary approaches that favor the protection and unquestioned authority of the executive's agents, the police. It's one of the reasons that many departments even refer to citizens as "civilians", as if the police were some kind of military organization. Last time I checked, they were supposed to be civilians too.
While clear thinking individual officers with a dose of empathy and an understanding of the consequences of unfettered police power on rights and community are the "good cops" discussed here, these are becoming the exception. It's not individual officers who are broadly creating law enforcement priorities. I would recommend Naomi Wolf's The End of America, in which she argues that this nation shows signs of being in fascist shift similar to that seen by other nations in history, partially including:
Wolf talks about curtailing citizen's assembly and expression, something many supporters here have talked about or experienced. I recommend the following summary of her argument:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/naomi-wolf/ten-steps-to-close-...
One final thought: Individuals with the need for self-worth found in authority and power over others will increasingly be drawn to police work, especially if society refuses to crack down on outright police abuse of individual citizens. This will not bode well for the prevalence of "good cops" in our police departments over time.
RE: I've read a lot of forums, word for word...
While I agree with most of what this poster is saying, I'm troubled by the European spelling I've seen in this post and others. Makes me think these could be people from anywhere in the world making things up.
100% American
Sorry about the spelling, once I get rolling I don't grab a dictionary as I should. However I can verify everything I write. "Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good." 1 Thessalonians 5:21
Hmmm
Maybe I don't get what your saying, but the video speaks for itself, no?
So now we start attacking people over their supposed spelling skills? No way.
I've read a lot of forums, word for word...
but this is, without a doubt and to put it mildly, the most intense round of discussion I have ever seen. This is the end: Americans fighting Americans.
Back in January of this year a group of Ron Paul supporters were kicked off a cable car in San Francisco by the Obama supporting cable car driver. They were met by the police. The police said the Ron Paul supporters could continue riding public transportation but were not allowed to carry any political material with them. When asked what provision of law excluded the Ron Paul supporters the San Francisco police spokesman publicly stated: "I am the law." This is called "fiat law" or "facism".
Further investigation revealed that not one single San Francisco police officer or Sheriff has the following criteria as mandated under the thrust of law:
An oath of office (Sworn duty to uphold the State and Federal Constitutions)
Scope certification (psychological evaluation)
Loyalty check (to make sure the officer is not working for a foreign principle or political subdivision)
Apptitude evaluation (basic reading and writing skills)
Insurance
Drivers license
Commercial Crime Bond
Delegation of authority to collect taxes (the fine that the court levies on you is a tax)
The so-called police have unknowingly been turned into a street gang. Both have a uniform, an unspoken code of protecting their 'turf', and using force, right or wrong, to "send a message". I have watched first hand "police" deal drugs, sell confiscated weapons back onto the street, car jack, kidnapping, torture, assault, extort, conduct illegal searches and siezures, blackmail, murder and engage in racketeering. The only distinctive difference between today's police and a street gang is that they are rivals. If they fulfilled the above-said criteria their role as a criminal syndicate and rogue operation would immediatley cease. They could then resume their role as a public servant to protect and serve the general public.
Throughout history soldiers and police have taken the heat for the enforcement of unpopular laws. If the police would bother to understand that they are pawns and expendable they would wake up to this reality and refuse to conduct illegal ID checkpoints, unlawful tax siezures, confiscation of private property and the infringement of the rights of "We the People". They are making themselves targets. I sure don't want to be around when the collapse comes.
The good news is I have spoken to a lot of police officers and, though they don't support or subscribe to the criteria I mentioned I do see them help some people who are in genuine need. It is frustrating work and by design they see only some of the worst of society. I ask my fellow Americans to go on a ride along with an officer for a day and just quietly observe. An officer is also required to know basic first aid and CPR. This will give you pause if you ever are in a tribunal that requires you to make a sound judgement about a police officer's behaviour.
I read recently that it took 60 years before the Chief of Police of Paris was brought to justice for not only helping the German Gestapo arrest, interogate, torture and murder his fellow Frenchmen but for taking his own initiative and committing seditious acts on his own. Read the rest of this forum for some most enlightening exchanges and see if we can work together to repeal the criminally psychotic laws that the bankers, attornies and politicians have conspired to implement by using the police as their enforcers, and, should the police refuse - INTERPOL mercenaries.
Whaa???
I'm not about to defend the San Fran PD as I know nothing about them personally. But are you trying to say that not one officer of the SFPD has insurance OR a driver's liscence? C'mon sounds a little far fetched to me. Do you fact check this garbage or just cut and paste your post?
Should you ever be involved in a traffic stop in the U.S.
ask the officer for his or her license, proof of insurance, bond, etc. I'll give you one guess what the result will be. Until then you are welcome to prove any of the aforesaid facts are unsubstantiated.
Yeah, the result would be
Yeah, the result would be either a butt-kicking or arrest for 'making an officer of the law nervous'.
