Can political change really happen from the top down? No doubt RP's run brought his kind of awareness to unprecedent number of people. Yet 90% of voters do not stand by him...certain percentage never heard of him and an elite small percentage works against him. The factors at work which sent dubya up there are the same that keep RP down...in a short time frame anyway.

Vigilance is the "cross" everyone must carry oneself to secure freedom...whether RP becomes a president or not, neither it is important whoever becomes the President, a sentiment echos from RP when he mentions about Switzerland politics. His Constitutionalist goal can be achieved without even a single person getting into any public office. But running for Prez is definitely the most effective way to spread the message.
