Operation To Shoot Down Satellite Called A 'Test'

Did anyone just see on Jim Lehrer's program the government official slip and call the operation a 'Test"? Can anyone Youtube it?

We've had the capability to knock out satellites for decades and there is no reason to become hysterical about it. Much better to have a precise capability than rely on nuclear EMP or ground-based directed energy weaponry.

The overt Chinese test created a huge debris cloud that endangers other orbiting craft. Our 'test', if that was all it was, was at least conducted against a de-orbiting object, reducing the likelihood of leaving debris in orbit. You'd be amazed at how many tiny objects our space command tracks due to their potential lethality to our manned space missions.

If the satellite had truly failed, then we had an obligation to insure that it de-orbited in a safe manner. The satellite was in a polar orbit and it is likely that its predicted impact zone was over land hence the desire to insure its demise upon reentry. While having the tank structure impact in a populated area was likely a small probability, it would be a huge public relations disaster.

Our military now needs to prove to China that 'we' can accurately shoot down satellites. It's one-upmanship.

They are going to great lengths to tell all the world about this shootdown of the satellite. If they don't shoot it down and it potentially landed on the ground and not in the ocean, then an area of two footballs fields would be dangerous to humans until the wind dispersed the toxic gas. This is statistically a very small risk, so why the big deal? Something is going on that they are not telling us.

If I'm not mistaken they are taking down the satellite that Isreal shot out of orbit for spying on their military. Isreal does not reveal its military secrets to anyone, US included.

It always amazes me, and I should be used to it by now, how they can just lie with a straight face. I just can't seem to keep it from affecting me when I hear the things going on in this country.

Anyway, when I can't shake the anger I just share the info. Misery loves company! The madder they make me the more I spread the truth about our government. I'm hoping we can wake enough people up that when the Second Revolutionary War comes, we'll have some troops.

I'd love to see the video here. If anyone has a link please post it.
