On The Bill Press show 8AM (Eastern), they just said.

Photos from the event

I took some pics while at the event. Enjoy!

The crowd estimate was 4,000+. Here's a great local article on the rally. I wish I could have been there!

I was at the Austin rally.

I was at the Austin rally. I don't know the number of people there, but it was a big crowd- had to be well over 1,000 people.

RP - Truth and Freedom

Just got back from the RP rally at the University of Texas. The crowd was great and RP looked and sounded good.

He addressed the crowd from above the steps in front of the Administration Building at UT, the complex from which the famous 28 story "Tower" rises. As he spoke about the tyranny of our present government, and the hope he offers for our future, one only had to glance upwards to read the bold words carved like a gigantic banner on the facade of the building's entrance: "Ye shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free".

A memorable experience.

"As long as the Matrix exists, the human race will never be free." - Morpheus, from The Matrix

that was amazing.

I listened to it on RP radio. Folks, that was amazing.

Best part of the speech... Paul is talking about the ease with which the current president can impose martial law... He goes, "IF I am your president..." The crowd mightily cut him off and yelled "YOU WILL BE OUT PRESIDENT!!!" it was an uproar. then they started cheering "RON PAUL, RON PAUL, RON PAUL." It was electrifying, folks.

I can't wait till the audio or video is uploaded. The doc spoke for about 45 minutes. And it was GOOD. Solid. He was clear, and he was firm.

Listened to the afternoon rally in Austin

Ron Paul was great. Good crowd but very poor sound streaming. Non-the-less RP looked and sounded great (his delivery, that is). I wish the sound people could have fixed the insanely dismal quality of RP's mic.

Mike - which one did you use? The streaming video? That's what I started off with - and it was poor quality, because the camera man was way behind everyone - with no direct line from the mic. Plus the plane flying over head was annoying... So I switched over to RP radio, - which was just audio - streamed it thru iTunes and it was perfect. Great quality.

Does anyone know the turnout of the rallies?

The Killeen rally had at least 500 or more people. It was a GREAT speech. One of the best ones I have heard him give.

The news is reporting 4000 in Austin.

Fox link to Austin rally

According to Daily Dose, RP scheduled to speak at 5 p.m. CT.

Is John McCain Electable???

Is John McCain electable? Watch this video to find out the truth on what voters really think of John McCain. The real opinions of the voters are now heard!

RP Radio is going to be broadcasting it... but does anyone know where to find a video link?

CNN Interviews 2 College Students

This morning CNN (Satellite Radio) featured a story about American youth becoming more interested in politics this election cycle, giving special attention to Obama-mania among the high-school and college demographic. (NOTE: Ron Paul was not mentioned once, even though he has drawn incredible numbers of youth to participate in the political process!)

CNN questioned two college sophomores in Austin, a Democrat and Republican, about what issues are important to them. Unfortunately, CNN's sampling was a very good (scary) example of some of the stereotypical dumbed-down generation of brainwashed MSM robots who will be voting in 2008. Pablum (baby food), my friends, absolutely poisonous pablum!

When asked their opinion on the economy, and if this issue was going to play a role in their decision, they were completely ignorant of how the economy affects every other facet of our lives and is THE main issue. They expressed themselves so badly, betraying their cluelessness.

(The following are not direct quotes as my hands were deep in soap suds at the time.) The Republican girl answered "I think the economy is doing fine and I'm not really worried about it." WHAT!?! Her main issue was immigration and she stated her whole family was supporting Huckabee. The Democrat boy also wasn't worried about the economy, stating that he was more concerned with getting universal healthcare, and he had a "week to make up his mind on whether to vote for either Hillary or Obama". I wish I could have saved the audio and shared it here, for it was apalling. Oh, Lord, save us!

What I wouldn't have given to hear a knowledgeable, well-read and passionate, college-age Ron Paul supporter answer the same questions!!!! There are so many RP supporters that are fluent on the issues. But then, of course CNN would not have shown an intelligent young person who actually understands the Constitution, and the role of the President, eh? That would have been detrimental to their cause and could have converted someone to the truth... tsk tsk tsk

government of the people, by the people, for the people

Finally figured out how to make a new Forum.

I made a new forum where we can post greetings to new people that you met.

I just started to direct new people to Daily Paul.

government of the people, by the people, for the people

More people starting to come around. Even those who used to resent me. It seems it's getting MUCH easier to convince people for Ron Paul.

This tool definitely has been a GREAT HELP. It's so important by itself.
Please, spread the word.

Let's remind ourselves to stay active. Check up with your friends who already support Ron Paul. Encourage them to stay active. If everyone finds even only one new person who will support Ron Paul per week, we will be doubling in size every week!

Put a Bumper Sticker on! Sure, there are more important things to do, but bumper stickers do make canvassing easier. After people see so many Ron Paul bumper stickers, they are more curious about Ron Paul. Also, bumper stickers do ecourage us!

government of the people, by the people, for the people

along the watch tower.........Ron Paul Style

This is to be played to the music of Along the Watch Tower, by another revolutionary of his time, Jimmy Hendrix.

There must be some kind of way out of here
Said the president to the thief
I've created so much confusion
America won't get no relief
Cabinetmen they drink my wine
The Public dig my earth
None will level on the line
Nobody of it is worth
Hey Hey

No reason to get excited
The thief he kindly spoke
There are NeoCons here among us
Who feel the Constitution is but a joke
But our for fathers have been through that
And that shall not be our fate
So let us not talk falsely now
Revolution hours –r- getting late
Hey Hey

All along the Whitehouse
President kept the view
While all the soldiers came and went
Bare-foot immigrants to,
but outside in America
The public began to growl
One freedom rider was approachin
And WE THE PEOPLE, began to howl
Hey Hey
All along the Whitehouse
Here you sing around the thieves
Gotta beware gotta beware
Or they will steal your dreams
Hey Hey

All along the Whitehouse

This song was re-written by Mark Gagnier from International Falls, MN. Who is a supporter of Ron Paul and what he stands for.

Now it sure would be great if somebody took it to the next level and got it to Jimmy Vaughan and then played for every one to see on YouTube.

government of the people, by the people, for the people

"The power of the Executive to cast a man into prison without formulating any charge known to the law, and particularly to deny him the judgment of his peers, is in the highest degree odious and is the foundation of all totalitarian government whether Nazi or Communist."
- Winston Churchill, Nov. 21, 1943

Please come to Austin!

Everyone in Austin TX is REALLY psyched for the UT event!
Last night the Neo-Libs took over the campus for Hitlery and Obomber and cheered wildly for plans to destroy American sovereignty... and it was sick!

Jimmy Vaughan will be backed by the Horton Bros and Buck Johnson who also backed him in FT Worth at the Straw Poll. AWESOME Folks!
Some other really great bands are playing as well: The Story Of..., The Golden Bear, Bad Day Motorcade...
I know that DR Paul LOVES Austin and this should be amazing!
