This is a very important story
because it underscores, once again, how right Dr. Paul is on foreign policy. All I could think of as I listened was his phrase; "A foreign policy of peace"

USA creating independent Kosovo is a shame!
Hey Americans,
please read few words from someone living in Poland. We know and have much more in common with Serbs than you. War in 1999 (Clinton times) was just US Army training, and, for example, one method of protecting "innocent" Kosovar Albanians was... bombing Serbian power plants!
Albanians are muslims. Kosovar Albanians are muslims, and don't feel as separate nation- they even use albanian flags! UCK, Kosovar guerilla army, is Europe's biggest criminal organization, controlling drug trade and illegal prostitution, trading women in whole southern Europe.
Altogether it seems like US government tries to create rebel islamic country in the middle of Europe, just to ... fight against its islamic terrorism.
US Army even has its, illegal of course, huge base over there, Camp Bondsteel

Although EU leaders (Bilderbergs) support independent Kosovo, many european countries stand against such illegal actions- Spain (they compare it to Iraq invasion), Greece, Cyprus, Slovakia, Czech, Romania, Bulgaria.
In Poland people spontanously support Serbs and organize demonstrations. In next days there may be big protests all over Europe.
Act, until it is not too late.

For posting this for us and for the links. In a few short paragraphs I am now understanding so much more on this issue. Please I hope you do not fault the American people for our government policies. Many here are not in agreement with our current foreign policy and are trying desperately to change/save America and restore to the constitutional,moral and just nation she was meant to be.

There was a hit piece about this kosovo subject in the Guardian newspaper today exposing the truth in fact. I meet many polish people every day here in england. They won't give me a job though. (Only joking)!

Why is it bad for people to
Why is it bad for people to want to break away and govern themselves? I agree that the US shouldn't have done what it did in 1999 and we shouldn't have anything to do with what's going on now. It has nothing to do with us, but I generally support people decided for themselves how they want to be governed. I fail to see how them being muslims and wanting to be part of Albania (using their flag etc) has anything to do with the US or Poland or any other nation?

Serbs have muslim albanians minority in Kosovo. In almost every country in Europe there are minorities, dear uneducated friend.
Some of those minorities have their country of orgin abroad (like Hungarians in Slovakia, Poles in Lithuania, Russians at Ukrainian Crimea, and Kosovar Albanians), some do not (like Basks in Spain, Gipses in eastern Slovakia)
there are even more complex situations like Transnistria in Moldova, Turkish part of Cyprus, not to mention partially independent Scotland.
But nowhere over there is other country (USA) allowed to decide about status of such region.
Americans have neither moral, nor legal law to act like that!

In addition to Kosovo being sacred ground for Serbs, it's also known as Europe's Kuwait and has since ancient times, been coveted by various empires for gold, silver and other commodities.
You would expect the simple-minded Bush to recognize Islamic Kosovo, but might expect more from the European countries. Unfortunately, Europe has shown over and over again that she is forever ungrateful for the sacrifice Serbs have made throughout history on her behalf.

Yes, but Western European countries have never
acknowledged the sacrifices Serbs have made on behalf of the continent, from defending against the Ottoman Empire to WWII. They've used Serbia as a pawn for years.
Of course, Islamics are not the blood-thirsty monsters as depicted by the American government. But Kosovo is sacred ground to the Christian Serbs and encouraging the Albanian Islamic independence movement to take root there, as the US has done, is wrong for many reasons. That's not to say we should send our military in there to take it back for the Serbs. But our interest is not Kosovo independence, it's getting our hands on the natural resources and it is probably much easier to exploit independent Kosovo than a united Serbia.

The similarities are remarkable
between the old British empire, and the current U.S.
The "original peoples" are doing quite well, thank you, since they have given up their old self sufficient lifestyle, and started running casinos for the mob.

Let's get over it and trade ethically from now on before ww3. Ron Paul can set an example to others without scrapping the military based at home. You can still mark and target and use other means to take out a dictatorship and the international borders as agreed should remain as agreed before. That includes giving palestine back to the border.

It happened as part of a large demonstration against Kosovo's declaration of independence. Masked attackers broke into the U.S. compound, which has been closed this week, just after 7 p.m. and tried to throw furniture from an office.

Because the US Govt immediately recognized the independent Kosovo. Didn't exactly sit well with the Serbs.
