First let me clarify that I am NOT a troll. I have supported Dr. Paul from the start, and I will continue to support Dr. Paul as long as he is alive. I have been on the DP for a long time. Now to the good stuff.
Cold hard facts. We don't have the numbers. Now I'll show you why. We have 1679 precint leaders in Texas. In over a year of presidential fury by Dr. Paul, a year of money bombs, debates, primaries, and caucuses, we have a measly 1679 precinct leaders in the whole state of Texas. Hilary Clinton started campaigning in Texas a couple of weeks ago. The first week she picked up 4,000 precinct leaders, and was expected to pick up another 4,000 in another week or so. So in two weeks of campaigning in Texas she probobly picked up around 8,000 precinct leaders, give or take. Hmmmmm let me see......1679 in a little over a year, or 8,000 in two weeks. THAT IS DISGUSTING AND DISPICABLE ON OUR PART!!! It is time for drastic measures folks. Because OBVIOUSLY we are not getting the job done for Dr. Paul. Here is my solution.
Let me break it down for you. OK folks, it's time to face the music. We have got to start getting tough. The fact of the matter is that ALL IS FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR. We have got to take this latest McCain scandal and run with it BIG time. And to be honest with you, we have got to dig up and use EVERY piece of dirt on ANY of the candidates. People call it dirty politics. Well let me ask you something. If it's true, how can it be dirty? I am all for dragging these scheisters through the mud. Spread every dirty little trick, or under the table crap that they all have their grubby little hands in. We need to organize a grassroots effort of information. I am NOT talking about making things up, or slanderizing people. I am talking about the stuff that the MSM doesn't talk about because it might tarnish their so called "front runners". The scandals, lies, and deciet IS out there. We need to find it, ALL OF IT, and tell the WORLD. If the MSM isn't going to tell the whole truth, then it is up to us to take this nonsense into our own hands.
Remember, it's not dirty politics if it's TRUE!!! Exposing polititians for the frauds, and phonies that they are, IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY!!! We owe it to America, to not let these cheats, and liars run our country. Please, find all TRUE information that you can find about any of the current candidates, and spread it like wildfire!!! Concentrate on McCain first and foremost. Tell the world what a crook he is!!! Ron Paul is counting on you!!! The United States of America is counting on you!!! ALL IS FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR!!! And let me tell you something folks, this is a WAR!!! A war for our freedom, a war for our liberty, a war for our nations future!!! This is our chance to take America back!!! We cannot let it slip through our fingers!!!
Find any, and all TRUE information that will hurt McCain, and all of the other candidates, and spread it like WILDFIRE!!! Flood message boards, send out mass emails, go into chat rooms, blogspot, facebook, myspace, even other candidates comment sections on their presidential websites, or ANYWHERE ELSE where the info will be seen!!! I've educated everyone I know and keep doing every day. I have never had anyone leave my deep discussion in favor of any other candidate with one exception for Captain Krunch who also committed to RP if he is (and will be - Texas) on the ballot. Democrat or Republican, I bat 1,000. Am I a prophet? Who knows. Who cares. I'm a monkey, an ape. A manimal. You can be too. Open your eyes. I read peoples body language, I can spot who not to talk and who to talk and still always be talking to someone in the crowed. I think my odds would be less with someone of the criminal cartel were in the room with me, but as I would never mean any human any harm for the chemicals in their brains - lest their actions by hand today and tomorrow I'm prepared to convert them to the cause and help them protect their life liberty and fortune. You should be too. This is not many people on the planet.
Well done is better than well said. Presently, I still focus a lot on my job but still find the time to talk to everyone! At one of my monthly meetings the evil US came up as the main topic for 90% of the meeting. Everyone is waking up, this battle of liberty is bigger than America, bigger than one of my personal heroes and role model (and I hope yours) Doctor Ron Paul, bigger than AFRICOM (What the heck do we need a US Military command in Africa for? Bring Malaria back home? No good can come of this.

WHile I am in no position to doubt your allegiance to RP, I believe you are not following the mathimatical 'laws of political average"(LOPA). Yes, HC might have gotten 4K PL in two weeks...However, perhaps ony 10%, if that many, will actually get off the couch and stop watching Oprah long enough to canvass for her...4K PL times 10% equal 400. Whereas, RP PL are batting around 75% (in my state)...I'm too sleepy to calculate, but I do believe RP will have more active people than the she-beast. Eh, as far as expectations on HC's side, don't count'em till they are counted. Know what I mean? Well, goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the Clinton bugs bite.

You're assuming a higher ACTIVE rate by RP people.
And sadly, that is NOT what we have seen in our meetups.
We get the same 10% active rate that all other volunteer orgs do. (Sad, but true -- we have LOTS of vocal fan-boys, but few hands willing to do actual work).
Even if (and its a big IF) the RP ratio is 3 times normal (say 30% actually complete their precincts) -- then that would give us maybe 500 actual "laborers in the fields" -- roughly the same as HRC at a 10% ratio.
So I wouldn't count on it.

If Dr. Paul had 60% of the delegates needed to win and was leading in Texas, he would also be signing up as many precinct leaders as he needed. We would all be flocking to Texas and Ohio just like we did to Iowa and New Hampshire. There are no more precinct leaders because most of the supporters have left the building.
It's wonderful that some of you are committed for the long haul, but you ask too much to expect the majority of the people who were attracted to Paul to do so. They were political neophytes, independents, or politically apathetic. And guess what? Now they are political cynics, independents, or politically apathetic. Or Obama supporters.
The campaign had a tough job riding the unexpected tidal wave of support, but unfortunately they failed miserably at converting that to a movement that people still want to associate with after the nomination is decided. If Dr. Paul had gotten respectable percentages and media coverage, it would be different. He could go back to Congress and be listened to, like McCain after 2000 or like Romney or Huckabee will be now. But 5% is a footnote. It just cements the fringe label on the campaign. Even the money bombs are swamped by Obama's recent fundraising and are forgotten.
Don't be angry with me for stating the obvious. The folks who have left DP quietly most likely agree.

While I am not going to jump all over you for stating your opinion, like so many DPer's do, I am just going to simply say that if you TRULY support something, if you believe in it with ALL your heart, then you NEVER stop, you never quit, you never surrender. If everyone thought the way you think, we may still be speaking with a brittish accent, and Abraham Lincoln would have never been elected. But movements need doubters, because it just makes the TRUE believers fight all that much harder.

Well the numbers drive a heck of a lot more to sell dope on the street corner than work for minimum wage at MickeyD. The same thing applies here.
Work for freedom at indirect benefit to yourself, or work for the kingdom and hope to gain a position at court. The incentive encourages people to grovel at the feet of potential kings rather than to carry the banner of freedom.
This has been an nice exercise in testing the depth of the remnant, and the results are clear. We are still just the deviants beyond the third standard deviation, nothing more than a statistical aberration. There will be no peaceful revolution based on rational thought. Ultimately, there will be revolution, but it will be spawned by economic disintegration, and will just as likely be lead by tyrants as libertarians.

Personally I'm amazed we've gotten this far. We've made a good start and woken up a lot of people this time around.

consider it slinging mud when the MSM ran with the newsletters? They exist and certainly made us all...uncomfortable...mostly with the fact that someone would take advantage of Dr. Paul that way, but he probably should have been on the ball. So if you were angry with the MSM for making time with that then you would have to be angry with yourself for pushing issues in an obvious smear attempt, regardless of the truth of the tale. Its a matter of principle. We don't stoop. We debate with logic and understanding and attempt to make people see the truth of the situation, not the personal failings of someone.

Those letters did go out, and his name was all over them. We all know he didn't write them. But he SHOULD have payed closer attention. And to be honest with you, I remember that being in the MSM for like a second. Dr. Paul admitted he should have been more on the ball, and it dissapeared. And no, I was not upset about it, because I thought Dr. Paul handled it with class. It is NEVER wrong to call someone on something that they DID. And McCain is a crook, and CANNOT, at all costs, be allowed to run our great country into the ground.

flawed logic I'm seeing is you making the assumption that the majority of America cares about the "Keating 5" or McCain's captivity. You're talking about the same people that re-elected Bush and are often heard saying "its time we take care of Iran". For some of these folks nothing you say will make a difference and for others only consistent sweet-reason will break through. Negative campaigning doesn't seem to work in Presidential elections, at least not this time around.
Problem is, we don't have a lot of time. The country will
be destroyed completely in another 4 years. I still think RP should run 3rd party as Libertarian, Constitution, etc. A fusion ticket of all willing 3rd parties. There's a lot more at stake here than party loyalty. We are talking about the future of the country, and maybe of humanity. Dr. Paul is the only one who can change the course. The GOP obviously wants nothing to do with saving the country. They are totally sold out. Bought and paid for. They don't even care if they lose the election. As long as RP is not elected. Why should we have any loyalty to them? It is beyond me. I'm trying to figure out what other country I can move to. If RP is not the next POTUS, it will be time to lock and load and head for the hills. Or wait for them to come take your ass to a FEMA camp.

bigger than the GOP. Until 7 of 10 Americans are aware of and understand the issues facing the country and the world (and actually give a damn beyond their day job and keeping their own life together) we all face an uphill battle. I certainly don't advise ignoring your personal protection, but running to the hills won't help US. We need to educate people of all ages. We need to indoctrinate our youth to public service, showing them that personal sacrifice is a requirement for a healthy country and that civil disobedience is where you start, not "locking and loading". The 2nd Amendment is the final choice because it will mean real sacrifice on the part of some, liberally watering the roots of the tree of liberty with the blood of patriots and tyrants. I would much rather bleed on it with skinned knees from stumbling instead of truly falling.
