We need a candidate bomb
I've been thinking. The next local election here in Colorado is in 2009. I haven't looked into it but for the sake of this idea I am assuming it's the same in most other states. We need to rally "Ron Paul" republicans in EVERY state and run for local office. I'm talking on a massive scale. Not just senate or congress. City counsel, Mayor etc. Any lower level elected position. We can run and out number them 5 to 1. It wont matter if we've never done anything like this before because there will be so many of us out there with the same message. I think it would work.
1. We could take our state's back (we need more Montana's in this country)
2. It would give those of us with little experience in politics a lot of experience while getting this message out on a large scale.
3. We would dominate the elections and the majority of us are bound to win.
4. It will open us up to higher positions in the next elections.
What do you think? If we start now we could do fund raising, choose canadates and get a good start on the local elections! Meet up groups will have to be a HUGE part in this.

We really need to take this to the meet up groups. I can't think of any other way for it to work well. Go to your meetings and bring it up if it hasn't already been discussed.
Here's the thing. I feel like a lot of people I think. I really know nothing about running for office, doing the job if I won, speaking in public etc. At this point I'd be willing to run but not alone. I also feel like I'd need training (like the delegates are getting etc) to have the confidence to pull it off. We would be a big force in numbers. Lets face it, people look for something different in their local positions then they do for President. We can use that to our advantage. Not to mention that local media is less likely to block us out in general and especially if there are a bunch of us with the same message.
I'd love to hear other ideas how to make this work.

I'm just about to start the process of collecting the 1,500 signatures that are needed to get me on the Republican ticket by the end of May.
Just the thought of having as many people who think like Ron Paul working together and taking over congress gets me VERY excited and keeps VERY hopefull
