Question about the 14th district
I know this is a stupid question.. and I already know the answer is going to be "no" but someone with election smarts may be able to help me.
My family is lucky enough to have a timeshare in the 14th district of texas. We go every year and its some of the most beautiful, underappreciated coastline in the entire world. If you havent been there, I encourage you to go as a relaxation vacation spot. The homestyle texmex food and fishing is the best part of it all...
As we all know, Every vote counts for Dr. Paul. Im in Kentucky right now, I assume its too late to register to vote in Texas for RP? Could I register to vote for him in the future in texas should he win this race? Any Ideas about how I could use my timeshare as an outpost in the 14th district for the RP revolution?
I'd seriously fly down there and cast my vote for him if it would be possible, and I'd even bring my family with me and have them do the same.. I just dont know the legalities regarding it.. I have heard of some people snowbirding in New York and voting Florida at the summer homes... just wondering..

Need Residency
To vote in Texas you need to establish residency. To do this, you need a Texas drivers license. The county your license is issued in is the county in which you would be registered to vote. The address on your license would determine the various districts and precincts you vote in.

Actually, you don't need a driver's license or Texas ID at all. I live in Harris county. All that you need is residency, which means you have to submit a copy of a utility bill addressed to you at the address in the 14th district. You also need to provide the last 4 digits of your SSN.
You can't vote for Paul in the primary because you need to register 30 days before.
To vote in the general election you need to show proof of residency. This can be done by the above method. Of course, it is illegal to vote in both KY and TX. So, you would have to choose where you want to vote if you do prove TX residency.

It's a little confusing, because you're suppose to establish proof of identity. Presenting a copy of a bill would be acceptable for only one person, the person listed on the bill.
