Question for gun enthusiasts

Waiting for my check from the gubbamint and going to do the patriotic thing a buy a pistol! The leading contentder is a S&W 686 4 or 6 inch barrell.
Question for gun enthusiasts: as our economy descends more and more into the abyss, will gun prices go up, down, or remain the same? ie will the same pistol be less expensive next year?

I really don't think it will be less expensive, I think the bigger question will be if you can still buy it. My advice is get it while you can. Not sure where your funds are at but with my tax refund,ya like I actually got one this year, I got a lifetime membership to Gun Owners of America. With the $500 membership you get some free weapons training at Frontsight. Great deal. Frontsight is in Las Vegas NV., so not sure how that would work for you. Can't tell you the links of the top of my head but if you google it you'll find it. In my opinion, besides food, guns are always a good investment.

I bought a Taurus .38 relolver
They're cheap to purshase, idiot proof and unbreakable, easy to conceal, easy to buy ammo for, easy to clean. I have a few stotguns and rifles as well as a Baretta .25 auto for my wife.
Buy NOW as the dollar
Buy NOW as the dollar continues to decline things only will become more expensive. Also, Everything valuable in a crisis, i.e. food, guns, ammo etc. goes up and is harder to come by. Please read this guy's advice at the link below. He covers guns (and other things) VERY well.

Let us say for the sake of
Let us say for the sake of argument that Ron Paul gets the nomination on the second ballot at the nominating convention and goes on to win the election.
In President Paul's first week in office he keeps his word and orders that the IRS cease its enforcement of whatever law they think enables them to collect tax on incomes of the citizenry. In his second week he said he would end the inflation tax by stopping the Federal Reserve from doing whatever it does to get the printing presses rolling.
So to answer your question prices in one year will respond to the laws of supply and demand and will no longer be influenced by money supply increases by the Federal Reserve "private" Bank.

More like firearms enthusiasts.
you're opting for a stainless steel .357mag./38Spl+P wheel gun. Barrel length is just a matter of personal preference. 6" is ideal for target shooting and quite same for 4" barrel. Good firearm.
On the prices. Everything goes up these days. I had a Springfield M1911A1 in 45 ACP with ramped barrel for $375 years ago. Probably $500 to $600 now.
