Live the dream..The end of Ron Paul Racing
After very careful consideration on all counts and legal advice this is what we’ve come up with.
1) Ron Paul Racing will not continue in any form. Its credibility and ability to function has been irretrievable lost. We will however put a sponsorship sticker on a very competitive short track car. Who knows what response we get, but we have to try.
2) Ron Paul Racing was started by racers and RP supporters to place a Ron Paul sticker on the car, that was the mandate and sole purpose to exist, so as a closing statement of victory we will.
3) The donations, as stated in the body of the website to be clear was stated we will use what ever funds to either sponsor a race car or give it to a grass roots campaign support. We will.
4) As of February 22nd, 2008 all monies donate to Ron Paul Racing are the property of Ron Paul Racing .com. And in our opinion is the property of Ron Paul Racing. We will forward a registered letter stating this fact to the treasure of Liberty PAC.
5) The Pac. This PAC formation may have been a complete waste of time and money. The original founders of RPR were told by the experts it was ‘Mandatory” this be done. We will get the correct answer soon.
6) The race car is chosen, the total balance of funds returned to Ron Paul Racing from Liberty PAC available to Ron Paul Racing.com will be used and that will close the books. We will have a race car as stated and promised. This is the best good faith use of the remaining funds, any additional funds retrieved from Liberty PAC will be a different matter.
I hope this closes the matter and if not, were willing to take whatever comes our way as we did everything in good faith, the record and facts are on our side and I hope most of you agree. Anyone pertending to operate as Ron Paul Racing without our consent will have us to answer to.
This will be posted on the www.ronpaulracing.com website as soon as we can.
Thanks,
Ron Paul Racing .com

Hey Rcon1, Thanks so much
Hey Rcon1,
Thanks so much for your efforts. I am sure you are aware that people either sit there and run their keyboards and nothing else, some may be doing something proactive yet still crap on other people's efforts, and then there are the people who are doing something proactive and applaud other people's efforts.
Just as in the time before the blimp's launch, I do not understand why anyone would say anything that would derail an effort to further Ron Paul if in fact they are true RP supporters.
Your efforts are still getting dumped on and you clearly stated what the plan is now and it is a fine way to settle the endevour.
Thank you once again.
Good post. I think Rcon tried hard...

The small decals
would not have been worth funding for the minimal notice they'd have gotten.
New Hampshire and Ecuador
A great idea with bad timing
If the idea had been pitched way before February 5th, it would have gotten a lot more traction. Super tuesday was when the campaign got the wind knocked out of it.
That isn't necessary.
Ignore or object politely.
They obviously did try to get something going. They had a lot of time invested in it. I used to think they were jerks as well. That is until I tried my most recent endeavor. Check it out... www.RingsideRevolution.com Its been up for a week and not much donated. And I have put MANY MANY hours in promoting this. Many here know it. But I am not only trying to promote on the DP but a whole lot of other venues on the web.
Does my burka make my butt look fatwa?
Well said
I cant disagree, I ran the best show could amid a million sugestions. I had the car the idea and a budget. The rest was all the fumble fucks and there great and legal options. Trust me, I will get a pound of flesh for everyone who donated.

I gotta tell ya.
PACs SUCK!
There are sooooooo many regulations. The treasurer is the fall guy or girl so they are really screwed when it collapses or reports incorrectly. I believe that the formation of the PAC was the real reason for its collapse.
As far as I know... the BLIMP and The Ron Paul Air Corps were and are not a PACs.
It may have been easier doin it that way.
Does my burka make my butt look fatwa?
Yes
Were working on that, Mr Harris and Ms Hanover are the ones who insisted we go with a PAC. I promise a resolution.

Since you two "warring
Since you two "warring factions" feel the need to keep reposting on this topic, I will reiterate something I posted in one of the prior threads on this topic. Get over yourselves! Ms. Hanover and Mr. Conrad should both be ashamed of themselves for allowing this debacle to unfold in this manner. Seriously, who in their right mind would consider donating to this cause now? You've ruined it for yourselves -- and for those of us who believed in this project. I wouldn't trust shiesters like you with one dime of my money. I can't believe you would even take donations from Ron Paul supporters without having your ducks in a row FIRST. For shame. You owe everyone who donated to this farce a public apology.
Agreed

Your right
Like I said with scanner scott, and Ms hanover the idea is to put a Ron Paul sricker on a car. Both my fellow helpers turned it into a glory contest to help themselves. I did my best to keep the focus on the goal.

Don't be surprised if you see John Force / Ron Paul Racing
This summer.
"GINO" = Government In Name Only
Don't be surprised
oh my god!! I love him and his TV show. Go Ron Paul!!!!!!!!
Looks like you decided to take your ball and go home!
When I first heard about the Ron Paul Racing idea, I thought great. I would support such an endeavor. But it quickly appeared that it was put together by a few nascar fans who really were out of their league and over their heads. The original ron paul racing website was a very simple creation in wordpress that could of been done in an hour, it also had a forum as I recall and there was some very unprofessional comments made by those who were no longer supporting the project after apparently becoming offended. Sounded like someone internally lost control and decided to attempt to ruin the project. Then I read where the original money was refunded and the organization was re-formed as a non-profit political organization, I thought ok that made sense. Then, l found that the project was not going to sponsor a whole car in the Nextel series, but a 16" x 20" sticker on a couple of Busch series cars, one driven by Kenny Wallace. Again, I thought well that made sense too because it is very expensive to support a whole car. Then, last week I found the domain ronpaulracing.com is no longer found and the owner of the domain is unwilling to continue until he is paid, then he says he is against the project. I searched for the domain owner and find it is listed as private on godaddy, apparently it is Mr. Ron Conrad, who has decided to take his ball and go home, like a little kid that isn't the quarterback but owns the ball and decides he doesn't like what is going on. I see the new organization has a new domain as ronpaulracing.org it appears to be legit but there is very little content. With all of this drama going on who would want to donate to Ron Paul Racing now ? I still think it is a worthy endeavor, but it was very late in creation, shortsighted and ill equipped. It there was enough interest from the beginning, I say a year ago and they approached Joe Gibbs Racing or someone with some integrity, and had the sponsorship of the whole car, it would have some good advertising of Ron Paul. But a tiny little sticker on a second league race car, which will probably run in the back or the field, will provide negligible promotion at best. I have been to a number of Nascar races and the cars in the back of the pack get very little TV time, except when they cause a crash of Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson or Tony Stewart. Ron Paul Racing has provided negative promotion for Ron Paul, nothing positive so far.
Ok
I am the founder of this project, I will post on my domain the whole story as I see it soon. The idea was just a little to much for the average person to understand.

A microcosm of the whole Ron
A microcosm of the whole Ron Paul movement.
It's too bad. But we pull each other in multiple directions over and over again.
I believe that unless Ron Paul speaks up soon. The March, or rally on Washington will be the same. We've already got Granny Warriors, diluting the participation of the Main march, Everyone is looking for personal glory.
Thats the nature of Man, and the nature of grassroots, eventually.
And that, is why we lose.

Libertarianism is all about personal responsibility... the counter-argument is that 'we' are too selfish. Either way you choose to view it, you're probably right.

Granny Warriors are Awesome !
The more rallies, the better !
The more marches, the better !
They are not deluting anything. Granny Warriors is planning a rally, not a march.

Yes, they are awesome
And they have the right to do what they want.
I think this particular decision to hold their own march (I think they prefer rally). Is divisive.

Clarification Regarding Status of Ron Paul Racing & Donations
"Ron Paul Racing" is an advertising project, not a legal entity.
Donations collected under the name "Ron Paul Racing" prior to February 11, 2008 via PayPal were collected by and are in the custody of a private individual, Ron Conrad. Ron Conrad is the owner of the domain name "www.ronpaulracing.com."
Donations collected to fund the Ron Paul Racing project via Google Checkout at www.ronpaulracing.com after February 11, 2008 were collected by and are in the custody of Liberty Racing PAC, a non-profit corporation.
Liberty Racing PAC has never received any funds from Ron Conrad.
Ron Conrad resigned from his position as Chair of the Executive Committee of Liberty Racing PAC on February 20, 2008. Ron Conrad is no longer associated in any way with Liberty Racing PAC and cannot speak on our behalf. In his first resignation letter, he offered to sell the domain name www.ronpaulracing.com to Liberty Racing PAC, presumably with the understanding that we would continue our efforts to fund a Ron Paul NASCAR sponsorship. However, he ultimately chose not to sell the domain name. At that point, we took down the website that the domain pointed to.
When it became apparent that Mr. Conrad was not going to sell the domain name, I registered the domain www.ronpaulracing.org for the use of Liberty Racing PAC. The Ron Paul Racing website will soon be transferred to www.RonPaulRacing.org. Ron Conrad is in no way affiliated with www.RonPaulRacing.org.
The RonPaulRacing.org advertising project that is funded by Liberty Racing PAC is continuing to move forward without Mr. Conrad's involvement. It is our moral and ethical obligation to do so, as that was our reason for collecting funds: for a Ron Paul NASCAR sponsorship.
Stay tuned to www.RonPaulRacing.org ...some amazing new content is going up in the next few days!

I doubt you'll get any donations
Seeing as how you didn't ask the people who donated whether they wanted their money back. What happened to the money your PAC got anyway? Not reporting to the people who paid your money is a gross mismanagement in the name of a great patriot. Can't you people stop using the Ron Paul name for your own benefit? Why not call your site liberty racing and leave the name of someone who never asked or wanted your endorsement.

Not true
The website had a return of contributions notice and Ive returned over two thousand dollars. The PAC now has the responsibility to return anyone who asks.

Like I said before
Your a troll and a liar. You will go no were as you know nothing of what you do. You ruined Ron Paul Racing by insisting you had a better way of doing things. You were invited in on my behest to help not run this. Your a amature in both the field you claim to be a profesional and in racing in general. I spent the majority of the weekend at several racing events while you stewed a way screw us under. Your future involvment in anything to do with this is over.

don't forget
I remember reading a post that RPR was no longer going to allow them to operate...so they opened up a new site called RonPaulracing.org instead of dot com...maybe not the end...but I kinda feel for these guys...trying so hard and never being able to get any attention but negative.

There was lots of positive attention in the beginning
People just wanted to ask questions about the "legal" stuff and when they did'nt get the answers they expected, like the wrong PAC number to begin with, that led to more questions. RPR should have had all this ironed out before going public and accepting pledges and donations. I wish no ill-will on RPR, hopefully they can get this going still.
