Fellow Pennsylvania Ron Paul supporters:
Great news -- Ron Paul will be at the very top of Pennsylvania's Republican primary ballot! Here's our press announcement:
Ron Paul Secures Top Ballot Position on Pennsylvania Republican Primary Ballot
Scores of Paul Supporters Secure Ballot Access as Delegate and Alternate Candidates to GOP National Convention
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 24th, 2008
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA - In a Press Release dated February 18th, 2008, Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul's campaign reported that petition team volunteers had collected almost 10,000 signatures to qualify Ron for placement on the April 22 Pennsylvania Republican primary ballot. As reported by Debbie Hopper, Assistant Campaign Manager, "A mere 2,000 valid nomination signatures were required and this illustrates the sheer determination of Ron's Pennsylvania supporters."
More critically, over 63 Ron Paul supporters had concurrently successfully filed nomination petitions to be placed on the April 22 ballot as convention Delegate candidates. Hopper reported, "These results are historic. Ron's supporters turned out for delegate candidates in such meaningful numbers to place them on the ballot in every one of Pennsylvania's 19 Congressional Districts. This grossly exceeded the campaign's expectations."
In follow up news, Hopper today confirmed that Ron had on February 20th secured the coveted number one position on the Pennsylvania ballot and that 19 of the 63 Ron Paul delegate candidates similarly secured top ballot positions. In Hopper's words, "Pennsylvania will again be the Keystone State, this time as a battleground where lost, traditional Republican values of limited government and personal liberty may at last be restored."
Congressman Ron Paul is one of only three Republicans who remain to compete for Republican nomination for President.
Ron Paul was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Over 20 TONS of campaign supplies have just hit the state.
Ron's campaign is now gearing up for the April 22nd primary in PA. Over 20 TONS of campaign supplies have just hit the state. That's 16 large pallets of stuff - yard signs, slim jims, bumper stickers et al - for disbursement to those who need it. More is coming.
Nick Ramaglia in Pittsburgh and Ken Fichtner in Montgomery County (near Philly) are the supply gurus for this stuff. They want to get it into your hands. They can't handle calls from hundreds of you, so the best way to handle this is for you to coordinate through your county or meetup coordinators. Let them coordinate or designate who can and will send a pickup or a caravan of a couple of cars to whichever of the two locations is most convenient for their logistics. They know how to get hold of Nick and Ken.
We need to disburse these supplies quickly because more is coming. Pittsburgh's supply is the priority.

Great News
I was out getting signatures for delegates a few weeks ago and talked to a person in my precinct I had never met. I mentioned I was for Dr. Paul and he looked at me like I had two heads and said "That guy's crazy, he'll never get on our ballot" . After pointing out the top three contributors to his campaign are servicemen in the armed forces he signed all seven petitions. He remarked "You know, I was in the marines". In PA we are contesting alot of the establishment candidates and it looks like philadelphia county will all be Ron Paul delegates.
We're taking PA back precinct by precinct. By the way, a similar thing happened about a year ago when Russel Diamond organized an effort to replace the PA legislature because they had taken a pay raise without telling the public. That replacement also went really well.

I suppose
that is good news, but we are still polling less than 6% here
I'm from Philly too....
I was working on getting signatures to be a delegate but due to illnesses with my children I was only able to collect 240 by the cut off. (you need 250) but that is ok. The fight still goes on...and I plan on running for some local office in my town.
I do have to say...EXCELLENT job to the various Meet-up groups PA has....they REALLY do bust hump up here!
Dr. Paul only needed 2000 signatures to get on the ballot and PA submitted 10000! I know all those folks might not actually vote for Dr. Paul, but it's still a fantastic testament to the combined efforts of PA citizens!
And no matter what....the fight continues...... =)
I can hear the Liberty Bell
I can hear the Liberty Bell ringing!!
Way to go!
Incredible work by our friends in PA!!! You make Ron and everyone else proud of all the great efforts!

How to support RP's cause every day:
1. Don't use credit cards
2. Stamp your cash with RP stamp before spending
3. Take cash out of ATM, stamp, put back in bank

This is Incredible---in Pennsylvania!!
Who'da thunk?! Does anyone know how voting for delegates works with an absentee ballot? I absolutely want my vote to count and if I have to fly up.....I'd just prefer to visit--not in April, but....
Not Surprising
PA is a state that only seems to be "blue" if you look at overall population, but as James Carville said, it's really "two big cities with Alabama in the middle".
In other words, PA is not a Liberal state. It is overall a very conservative one, with just a few densely populated areas that are big-time, on-fire, and completely liberal.
BTW... I live only a mile from where the good Doctor went to school.... and am eagerly awaiting the chance to cast my vote for him at a polling place that is in his childhood home.
Funny thing... I've talked
Funny thing... I've talked to several people from different Meetups here in PA and they all said (including myself) that we felt we could have done more. And yet we maxed it out for the whole state - A DEMOCRATIC STATE!
Don't rely on feelings.

Fortune Favors the Bold
When I was fifteen with my father who is a civil war buff. There was something haunting about the place. It is a town that has american history infused on every street and in every shop. Knowing that Dr. Paul went to school there gives me a sense of where his deep respect for the importance of American history and honoring all Americans who fought and died for freedom comes from.
Fortune Favors the Bold
In our county
WE got the majority of delegates and alternate delegates. PA Holla!

In Bucks County (8th
In Bucks County (8th congressional district) we have 3 delegates for the state convention. out of 4 candidate positions we are 3,4,5, and 7
in the alternate delegate position, we have 5 positions for 3 spots. 2 of which are ours numbers 2 and 5.
hopefully by the time we vote on April 22nd, the McAmnesty scandals will all but force him to drop out, leaving Huckabee and Paul,,,,, which will force this purple state to Paul, the minister show will not play well with northern republicans.
Congratuations to my fellow Pennsylvanians for jobs well done
Congrats to the team on the PA 15th who broke their backs getting signatures and got all three delegates and three alternates on the ballot. Also congrats to the team in the 13th as well.
Some great local discussions going on with our Meetup boards about the future, not just of the White House, but of many other office as well.
Do you hear that? That's the sound of ground swell.
DO YOU NOTICE
THAT the longer he is in the more support he has in each state???? WE ARE WINNING PEOPLE PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO ALL THOSE WHO DESPAIR!!!!!!
Buy the Pennsylvanians a drink at the Rally in D.C.
for a job well done. Ron Paul will be the next President of the United States of America.
Great job PA
The party line candidates are crumbling and we need to be there to sweep in and rise above it all when the convention swings around. I wish more people would get out there and join the precinct leader program, become delegates and fight for those delegate positions. Far too many people have switched out because they think we can't win this thing - have you seen the rate that donations have plummetted to?
This race is far from over, my friends. If we let the chance slip away because we gave up too soon, that will be absolutely criminal.

Thank-You PA.
I think this revolution should have started sooner giving our political machinary more time to secure delegates but I know that it will continue till Ron Paul is president. Hard work, canvassing, and donations must continue in every state. Post such as this should be acknowledge by headquarters and put on their "front page." Thank-you.
