Is anyone else slightly terrified for the potential of martial law?
Is anyone else terrified for the potential of martial law? I don't generally buy into the conspiracy theories... but the evidence still makes you wonder.... and now with those reports of the FEMA coffins and concentration camps along with everything else we know (H.R. 1955) and the rumors it scares me to death that we might be facing tyranny...
I just hope none of that stuff becomes reality... because if it does I will have no choice but to fight it, which would likely lead discrimination/arrest or God knows what.... I would hate for any of us to be sent to camps just for having our beliefs... what if we all get labeled as terrorists?
All the more reason to get Ron Paul elected I suppose.
I don't get why anyone would want to do this to people though... I have no desire to rule and have power over others... I guess I was just raised well... it makes me wonder if these people really have a conscience or if they really are Christians like they claim they are....
For me at least, I'll always have faith and hope in God....

I actually had the chance to talk to an enlisted man about this, (the fiancee' of a friend's daughter) . He said something similar: The armed forces are not likely to be used in the states. Most likely, the National Guard would be the ones to carry out any martial law attempts.

Don't let fear overcome your logic. It's not going to happen any time soon. First of all, Bush has spread his resources too thin by starting 2 wars. He would have to withdraw troops from Iraq and redeploy them here, which he's currently not in a position to do. If anything, martial law would have to be a multistep plan. They would have to take our guns first. It would be a huge mistake not to because I doubt they want another civil war. Be informed, but don't over sensationalize it. Nobody is going to put you in a FEMA camp anytime soon.
You also need to understand how these people use fear. "Homegrown Terrorism Act." Yeah, sounds scary. And I'm sure that was their intention. Don't let them control you though fear, that's all their doing.
It is they who are terrified!
They fear us. They fear us because we are a threat to them as they are a threat to us. We have the numbers and we have truth on our side. They think they have everyone in their own circles controlled, but patriots are fighting from within.
Our nation and the entire world are becoming aware of who these people are and where their intentions lie. We are winning the war of information and they know it. It is they who fear us. These things are out of our control. BUT we do have control over our response.
My grandparents were not prepared for the first Depression, however lived on a farm. It was the people in the cities who suffered on a daily basis, for food, shelter, heat, clothing, etc.
So, city folk, you should really do your homework and connect with someone inthe country. You could do a crop-share garden for starters.
Be prepared, nothing to fear. If our military is fed up we can count on them.

Simply put! When/if the Administration issues Martial Law...
...this country will be up and embroiled in a civil war overnight! Nothing to the contrary! And they (the neocons in Washington) KNOW this! That is why they are trying to do it S - L - O - W - L - Y - step - by - step. One peice at a time! Over TIME! Sort of like the way parasites kill their host. Some parasites never kill their host. Some others do.....but over a lengthy period of time. They will never attempt a martial law declaration unless or until they have far, far MORE control (militaristic) over the people of this great nation. They first need to further destroy the potential of the people (that is, destroy the economy...thus leveling the "Energy" of the people. Then they need to remove the last and final source and FORCE of "Energy" from the people (that is, "GUNS!"). They need to strip the people of guns....because guns are the most potentially DEADLY source of "Energy" of the people. THEN and ONLY "then" will they will try some sort of martial law stunt. They would much rather, however, follow and stay upon the course that we are on NOW! - To take the country WITHOUT even ever firing a shot.

I beg to differ. Insurgencies and guerrilla warfare have a long history of wearing down larger and more powerful traditional armies. See the US in Iraq, the USSR in Afghanistan, the US in Vietnam, the American Revolutionaries fighting "Indian-style" against the most powerful empire in the world, etc.
And then there's the non-violent success stories like Gandhi's. I expect there would be similar non-violent uprisings here, alongside the violent insurgency; together they would overwhelm the government.
We the People would certainly suffer massive casualties, but there are more of us to jump into the grinder. Guerrilla fighters always pay a higher death toll than the traditional armies they face, but they also tend to be much more highly motivated. See the Viet Cong, for whom giving up the fight was an unthinkable concept. They expected to be at war for the rest of their lives, and were fully prepared for that. We were not.

I've seen a few of your posts, but this is one I'll respond to.
You're wrong. If you don't think that millions of armed citizens present a problem for a government that would institute martial law, you're either ignorant or attempting to spread apathy. Either way, you're wrong. The only matter left to resolve is your intent.
So...which is it? Are you simply ignorant to the problem an armed populace would present or are you trying to get people to make people here feel powerless?

ive been following his posts too, they are always the same,,,betterhalf and mayberry are either trolls from other camp or govt employees, they are absolutley not here to support Ron Paul and are only here for negative reasons........they use much effort to continually tell us we are crazy and everything is just fine, go back to sleep.......most of us see them for what they are, in the past i let them go but considering they sometimes derail our energy , i will be making concerted effort to "out" them........

Yeah, I think it's interesting how some people who post go away after confronted with some logic and facts. They come here with 'their' opinion and say things like (and I'm generalizing here)
- obey the authorities no matter what
- the authorities are our friends in all cases
- if we do __X__, then group __Y__ won't support us
- the people don't stand a chance against the 'might' of the authorities
- blah blah blah blah
The more of us who point out the fallacy of those positions...the more the truth of the source of those fears is made know...the more people learn their true authority and inheritance...the less their power will be.
Civil War would be a certainty ..
It would not be on the scale of the 1800s version but would come in the form of a decentralized low intensity terrorism campaign. Remember, despite its bad label, terrorism is the military tactict of choice of the vastly outgunned ..
This type of civil war is desirable by no one as it is protracted and essentialy unwinnable.
Martial law will not occur for this reason.

For some lunchmeat and bread after a days work if your children are hungry. I will do it too, especially when a there is a gun-toting "supervisor". Economic collapse is about power - the elite already have all the money and property they need.
Martial Law is fairly easy really. Look at all the substructure they already have in place without any questions from the majority of people. When I tell friends about the horror of guns being taken by National Guard Troops in New Orleans, they just say, "well, it must have been too dangerous of a situation. You can't expect the police to help in that situation when everyone is trying to shoot them." I shit you not, that is what I hear. People are already quite brainwashed and dumbed-down.
Look around where you work or your church and think about how many people would fight off federal troops arresting you because you are "suspected of domestic terrorism". Or, how many would just say: "well, he must have done something wrong, right?" When I told my brother that in a letter to my Congressman I wrote something along the idea that voting for HR1955 is basically unconstitutional and someday he and his fellow representatives may be "held accountable", my brother exclaimed: "You can't say that to a Congressman!". See what I mean, it is about control.

Martial Law is not impossible to implement.
It requires just a few pieces. Consider the following example:
1. Incurable manufactured disease is release on a few controlled regions in the U.S.
2. The regions are quaranteed. All quaranteed persons die.
3. False pre written studies are released claiming a number of lies:
For instance. the disease may have symptoms of dormancy but can still spread whilst in dormant state. Similar to HIV but spread through airborne methods
4. Panic ensues. The wonderful government comes to the rescue again. Everyone will be tested. DHS oversees this. To ensure everyone is tested we are required to be chipped. Media sells the idea as the patriotic thing to do.
5. People on the "lists" (of which the number is now nearly 1 million) have results that will come back as positive for the disease. They are rounded up. All banks and other public places will scan for these ID's and DHS alerted to an infected person.
And the rest is history...
This nightmare scenario sounds rediculous. But so does all the s**t being pushed through via executive orders and unpartiot acts. They actually now have the means to carry this scenario out if they so desired.
And judging by the poeples continued belief in the impossible and contradictory official conspiracy theory of 9/11, they would buy into it..hook, line and sinker!

Not right now.
Who would enforce it? Our family memebers that are the police? The national guard and millitary are still overseas and will be for a while as though it seems. It is a lagitimate fear to worry about martial law. Makes me kinda gald to live in the middle of no where. I would be greatly concerened if I had a family and lived in a large city.
