Is This Country Hopeless

I can imagine people at home cheering when he was booed by the war-monger crowd.

His audience was not the studio audience, which resulted from the candidates being given tickets to distribute to supporters. Obviously, if the distribution had been equal, 7/8 of the people in that room were already committed to a pro-war candidate, and were going to hate one opposing the war. If it wasn't equal, we all know Paul didn't get a larger than average share!

Of course, the focus group was also handpicked: 23 people who had heard the candidates before and didn't have a preference. Is there anybody here who didn't decide you liked Dr. Paul the first time you heard him? To have no preference after being exposed to all these guys previously tells you they were just trying to pick which pro-war candidate to support: had they been opposed, they would have known who they supported already.

So neither of those groups was representative, nor were they persuadable.

When Giuliani nailed Paul for telling the truth about the motivation of the thugs of 9/11, the media all portrayed it as a home run for Giuliani, and most of us know Paul didn't really explain it well enough in that debate to be clear to the uninformed person why he was right. But it still turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to Paul's campaign.

More booing, please: it makes Paul look more like the hero he is.

When travelling outside the US, I play a little game. I count how many cops I see on the way to my seat on the plane at O'hare airport. I always see more cops, and more different kinds of mean and rude Amerikanski Cops in 2 hours than I will see in 3 months anywhere else. Layer upon layer of police like a rotten lasagna laying in the bottom of a dumpster.

I like to think that Ron Paul would put about half a million of them to work drilling teeth or something productive. And put a million young soldiers to work fixing up America.

I just got home from work and have not seen the debate. It does not sound good though.
However. We all know what kind of people We are up against. We know that they will stop at nothing to seduce the masses.
The struggle for liberty is thousands of years old. We are part of that eternal effort right now. Not yesterday or tomorrow. Right now.
I am reading the posts on here and the general aura is dark and negative. Defeat.
Don't let the the media's treatment of Ron Paul get you down. Do you think Dr. Paul is at the bar getting drunk and crying in his beer? Very unlikely.
It is easier to accept the disrespect of Mr. Paul if you expect it at all times. Then your less likely to be let down when it happens. Then you go to bat for him. For us. For you.
I can't see a sudden disapproval by a debate audience as being natural. Something is certainly up if the Honorable Ron Paul was booed.
It seems to me that a majority of the people want to be free but are afraid of the sudden loss of gravity that they think would occur with smaller government. And besides, they think they are free.
There was once a time when I wanted to write a book. I was going to call it. "Chicken poop for the soul: The futility of positive thinking and why it will never work".
I am doing much better now.
Ron Paul and the world need you to be happy and positive so as to promote liberty and attract those who seek it.
