Dear ...,

I'd like to introduce you to a friend of mine who needs your help: Sam,who like all of America's three and four year olds deserves quality pre-k education. Read more about Sam below, and then please tell Barack, Hillary, John, and Mike why pre-k education is so important for Sam.

Bob Fertik

Dear Friend, Meet Sam.

Like all four year olds, Sam has a brain like a sponge. In fact, children's most important brain development occurs before they turn five. As a supporter of pre-kindergarten, you know that what Sam learns now – during this critical window of opportunity – will affect the rest of Sam's life. By now you’ve met Barack, Hillary, John, and Mike. As candidates for president, they are talking about big issues like the struggling economy. But you, like Sam’s parents, probably want to know: Who will invest in our children’s potential by making pre-k a national priority? The future for Sam – and for all of America’s young children – depends on what you do right now.

Click here to introduce Sam to Barack, Hillary, John, and Mike and ask them to make Sam’s access to quality pre-k a priority in their campaigns.

Unfortunately, Sam lives in one of the 47 states where state-funded, voluntary pre-k is not available to all children. That’s why today, Pre-K Now is launching NoSchoolForSam.org – a national campaign to raise awareness of the lack of access to high-quality, state-funded pre-k and what these missed opportunities cost America’s children, families, and communities. When budgets are tight, a country makes clear its priorities. It’s time for the presidential candidates to show us that they understand: We can pay now for quality pre-k, or we can pay much more later to cope with more children who need special education classes, get held back a grade, or drop out of high school.

Tell the candidates that when you vote this November, you’ll be looking for a president who will make pre-k a national priority and who understands that this is the first step to improving America’s education system. After you make your voice heard, please click here to introduce your friends to Sam and ask them to join you in sending a message to the candidates. With your help, Sam doesn’t have to miss out on the kind of early learning that builds a foundation for success. Together, we can make quality pre-k accessible for Sam and all of our country’s youngest learners.

Sincerely,
Libby Doggett

HERE WAS MY RESPONSE:

I appreciate the email. However, my position is that it is up to Sam’s parents to give him the quality education he so willingly deserves.

No government sponsored education could or would ever take their place. Our schools continue to dumb-down our children every day!, thanks to the interference of the Federal Government. Keep them out of our lives and our schools!

Pre- K would be nothing more than “day care” where children would share everything except good education. You send them to a kennel, they get kennel cough.

I recommend getting rid of the Department of Education and put that very important life-changing process in the hands of their parents and local government. This “one size fits all” mentality and people believing they are “entitled” to everything will continue to lead this nation to people who do not know how to produce – just consume – with both hands out and expect more.

So, I say 100% yes to Sam and his very important education and start in life, and NO to Pre-K aka: Day Care. If we got the Federal Govt. out of our pockets, mothers could stay home and tend to their children and families THE most important job of their life.

notice how...

he leaves out Ron... what an idiot, a perfect example of why this country is where it is...

ask them why they want pre-k

ask them why they want pre-k education so badly? is it because they want kids not being able to find their home state on a map before 1st grade now?

my brother is a 25 year old college student. in his geography book it says that we should welcome the New World Order with open arms. i shit you not. i wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't shown me. i looked to see if the author was David Rockefeller. it was not, but i'm sure they're close friends.

i'm trying to get a friend of mine to have her 9 year old daughter bring her history book home. i wouldn't doubt if there's no mention of the Constitution and Bill of Rights in there. who knows what they're teaching kids now. probably to graduate, get a job and get into as much debt as possible as quickly as possible

Hey McCain-----┌П┐(◣_◢)┌П┐

If your system doesn't work you don't

keep adding onto it, you disassemble it and start over. Or better yet, let those who would do a better job handle it. The quality of education needs to improve, not the quantity.

Dang!

Couldn't have said it any better myself.

And to JKap: they didn't include him because he's firmly against such invasive maneuvers of the Federal Government into the education of our children.

Plus, they don't want him advertised to their constituents due to the fact that he makes too much sense.

They hate us for our freedom. Thank God the government is here to take it away!

By now you’ve met Barack,

By now you’ve met Barack, Hillary, John, and Mike. As candidates for president...

Notice how they conveniently left out the name "Ron." All those who think that, as part of the broader newspeak paradigm, this omission was unintentional and not politically motivated and calculated please stand on your heads.

I was going to send this letter from their site...

But then I realized that no one probably reads the letters anyway.
They would just count it as a petition from that org., so I didn't. But maybe I'll send it separately.

As a voter in this year's election, I'm writing to urge you to defund and end all federal involvement in education initiatives. Parents are the ones who need to control these matters with their local and state representatives

Specifically, all pre-k programs are overtly destructive of parental control and responsibility. The costs of such programs coupled with the lack of any benefit to society make this a particularly insidious and unworthy waste of taxpayer dollars.

Please make it a priority in your campaign and, if elected, in your administration to return educational control to local authority.

thats a great email response

PreK/preschool is a waste of time/money.

Going to the park and reading to kids for 30min/day is the best thing a parent can do for them. Free, fun,and anyone can do it.

Obama believes government involvement should start with infants:

"Obama's plan places key emphasis at early care and education for infants, which is essential for children to be ready to enter kindergarten. Obama will create Early Learning Challenge Grants to promote state "zero to five" efforts and help states move toward voluntary, universal pre-school."

Dont we have much bigger problems than to worry about educating infants?
