I'm telling everyone if we were on the gold standard like the good Dr advises, we'd nly be paying 25 cents a gallon for gas.
By the way, anyone know of any links which show wether this countries gold is or is not still in the hands of the americans?
If we are 57 trillion in debt it sounds prety certain our gold has been sold out from under us.

From what I understand, back in the 70's the Fed decreed that the interest on the T-bills they bought be paid in gold. They probably exhausted that stream of real value and now they're just siphoning off the fed notes so that they can keep printing more.
