March on DC, April 15th - Grannys
Submitted by cspanjunkie on Wed, 02/27/2008 - 05:35
Why is it the campaign isn't matching on this date? Why is there a need to make everything convenient. Why is there still no date for the campaign?
I ask because no one asked their boss if they could have time off to join the original revolution nor did they consider their children being in or out of school.
The Grannys put so much into Ron Paul, they've called the March. They have the permits and they have plenty of other marchers.
I don't get you guys. Ron Paul made it very clear in his message that time is of the essence.
If you wait much longer the dollar will have collapsed and no one will be able to get there since they won't be able to afford the gas.
To the grannys - My friends and I will join you on April 15th.

This rally will be good

And then we will have the march in late spring/early summer. People are protesting their local FED branches all over the country on april 15. We can have multiple events.

Calm down
Granny and crew will create great exposure for our message. They will have a fun rally and folks from the area will come. Most will wait to travel for the official event. We need to get out more. We need several events around the country. We must leave the computer and educate our community. Granny is leading the way. She has my support.
Don't Get Me?
I'll make it simple why I do not support the Grannys' event...
In RP's original statement, he did say time is of the essence. He also said that it should be in 3 to 4 months. That puts it in the May/June timeframe. He has his staff investigating what is best, with the input of the grassroots.
The Grannys appear to have not cared about his timeline. I say "appear to have not" because I do not know what the thought process was. However, from everything I read, it also appears that the Grannys decided, without any input from the grassroots or the Official Campaign, on a date. That date is Taxday and not within the guidelines RP mentioned within his original call for action (3 to 4 months).
I have also mentioned in several threads that I believe we should not be reliving history here, but making history. Something for all of us to be proud of and something for our children and grandchildren to tell their children we were involved with.
There is no reason to tie the March to Taxday (and be called tax protestors), to Memorial Day (and be called unpatriotic), to the 4th of July (and get lost in all the commotion in DC).
Again, let's make history, not relive it, by having the Official March/Rally on a non-historic date; a date unrelated to anything in history or current activities/holidays.
Now do you get me?

Freedom March Update
February 26th, 2008 by Dan McCarthy
A quick update on the upcoming freedom march. The Freedom March Committee has been evaluating suggestions from a huge volume of supporter e-mails and has been reporting to Dr. Paul. With the Texas presidential and congressional primary races at the center of Dr. Paul’s attention through March 4, it will be a while yet before a firm date and plan for the march are selected. In the meantime, you can send additional ideas here, as the committee prepares supplemental materials for Dr. Paul.
Please note that several independent organizations have made plans for marches of their own. These marches are not affiliated with Ron Paul or his campaign. When plans for the Ron Paul march are solidified, the announcement will be made here and through other official channels.
