Bernanke is right!

CONGRESS gave the Fed their powers, and CONGRESS has the power to take those away and return to the gold standard. Ron Paul is talking to the wrong person. Bernanke is just a technician, he's just trying to do the best he can turning the dials.

I recognize the value of Ron Paul speaking in whatever venue he can about abolishing the Fed, but it's not right to blame Bernanke for doing what CONGRESS charged him to do.

As well as congress.

The Fed under Bernanke purposefully obfuscates real inflation measures to keep people complacent in relation to the credit expansion and fractional reserve banking that dilutes the wealth of savers, investors, pensioners, bondholders etc. As well as pushing much further debt onto the future.

It is primarily Congress' responsibility, yes, but do not give these unscrupulous central bankers a free pass.

Blame needs to have a sense of proportion to it. The guilt of congress vastly exceeds that of Bernanke, since they not only hired him but they are the only ones with the power to abolish the Fed.
